There are only 2 options, the first and the last 3 choices which can have their percentages added together to represent the majority of players. You either volunteer your time to test to help a profit company become more profitable (yeah right who is kidding us they are doing this) or to play the game early for yourself which includes deciding if you like the game and possibly uncovering bugs or loopholes to be used as an advantage when the game goes live. |

Xaze I don't know what you did for SOE and EQ, maybe you satisfied Smedley, but even if it was something important and valuable, they should have rewarded you by sending you a check or some other means which did not include any in game advantage or benefit. MMOGs are competitive in nature and the fact that SOE doesn't understand how disturbing and disruptive and unfair it is to the rest of the paying playerbase to offer in game advantages to some and not maintain a fair and level playing field, proves they should get out of the MMOG business. |

I feel your pain. There hasn't been anything as good as classic EQ pre Planes of Poop. |

If a challenge was all you wanted, creating your own death penalty would be fine, but its not about YOUR penalty. Its about pushing that playstyle on everyone else. You don't want an equal playing field because by playing smart, YOU wouldn't incure that penalty as much as all the noobies. You claim its equal but its inherenthly not. You'd play smarter than them. You wouldn't play equal to the dummies. Knowing you can avoid that penalty better than others is what rocks your socks off. Thats whats "cool" about the penalty. If the penalty and challenge was whats important, you wouldn't care what the penalty for other people is. Whats really important is your ability to feel superior to those who get penalized more than you. Its basic MMO psych 101. You want others to get punished.
You just figured out that the essence of competition is to prove you are better than someone else at a given task? DUH What do you think the Olympics are all about? An equal playing field requires the same ruleset and mechanics for all players on the same server. I don't see any athletes in the Olympics handicapping themselves for a greater challenge. |

I want a level playing field where all participants are subject to the same game mechanics and game rules. The only things that should favor players is length of time played, amount of time you are willing to play, and playing smart.

Not interested in another theme park MMO game. There are already many of those on the market. I want a large seamless MMO world which oozes realism from every part of it's design so I can immerse myself in it. |

A harsh death penalty is an important component to making a quality game. Without a harsh death penalty, no one fears dying and losing in combat which results in zerg attack tactics. A harsh death penalty makes players choose their targets carefully in both PVE and PVP and use tactics and strategy and planning which should be required and makes the gameplay more interesting and challenging. A harsh death penalty makes exploring exciting, not to be careless and venture too far into the unknown without a safe line of retreat. You know a game's death penalty is a joke when people kill themselves to port across the zone as I did in WoW. |

Binding items and making them no-trade is not a solution to RMT sales. First it destroys any in-game economy, secondly it forces linear gameplay like raiding, and third people can still sell the characters/accounts with those items on them. Any developer that thinks binding items and making them no-trade is the solution to RMT fails miserably. You don't ruin the game with those types of unrealistic mechanics in order to try and solve another issue. |

It's really sad what SOE did to such a great game after Brad left. Clearly they are not making any effort to enforce fair gameplay. Any developer that refuses to place serious emphasis on preventing hacks and exploits fails miserably. I would never continue to pay to play in such an environment no matter how good the game itself was. |

Don't like it and won't play games that use it. It's a way of circumventing grouping with real people and you should either group with real people or solo and thus rely only on your individual skills. Pets are ok but not squads of NPCs to replace real people. |

There will be gold sellers and powerlevelling services and account sellers. It's a question of how much effort will the Warhammer team apply to prevent, uncover, and ban them, and will individual players and collective groups such as guilds do their part and ostracize and report them. Would you report a friend who was buying or selling gold, providing or using a powerlevelling service, or buying or selling an account? If not then you are part of the problem. |

This is a clear message to developers to stop designing instanced crap. We won't tolerate it any more. We want large seamless worlds without any instancing whatsoever. |
