In Vanilla WoW 40 man raids were too hard. TBC raids were nerfed to 25.

In TBC 25 man raids were too hard. In WotLK they will be nerfed to 10.

And I can guarantee you:

In WotLK 10 man raids were too hard. 3rd WoW expansion end-game content was reduced to 5man content. Being able to convert a group into a raid disabled.

In the 3rd expansion 5 man content was deemed to hard and for the 4th expansion end-game content reduced to 1 man instances.

In the 4th expansion 1 man content was deemed too long and hard. 5th expansion you defeated all content merely by logging in.

newsflash Daoc has had Calssic servers for a long long long time now.  Maybe leran to read or if you wer even interested in it you would bother to, instead of syaing crap like old games are to hard for wow players, get a bloody grip on reality and your own fanboism.  The popultaions of all Daoc servers even at peak times is about 5-6k with all servers combined.

Just for your information, Wow has probably the biggest ex daoc, swg, eq, uo playerbase of any mmo.  So pelase stop spewing your crap.

funny but AoC reminds me exactly of a cross between WoW and EQII. Just with more bugs and less content.

If it wasn't for games like Vanguard and AO, WOW would be considered one of the worst launches for a mmo.  At launch WOW was horrible lag, memory leaks, couldn't even pick up loot, the Druid class was totally broken and a slew of other issues it had. It took them 6 months to actually fix the majority of their issues from launch. Anyone who denies it had a bad launch certainly doesn't know what they are talking about.

 

As far as content goes, what it took Blizzard how long to make an expansion and when they did the majority of people were disappointed because it was more of the same content they have been playing for years. As stated many times, Funcom will be splitting into 2 groups , one to handle the live content and the other to start working on an expansion. So people like me who play AOC don't have to wait an eternity to actually get more content. There wasn't a ton of content at WOW's launch  because why give customers more content when they can barely play our game at launch as it is.

Well we all know WOW was a copy of Warhammer right from the start. Blizzard wanted to make Warhammer but got shown the door which was Game Workshop's biggest blunder because WOW sold millions over time. So bascially Blizzard said " How dare you shun us! We will clone your game and call it Warcraft and then tell people Tolkien was our inspiration! "

The majority of people were dissapointed lol?  The minority on this site were dissapointed.  Wow release things when its done, not like other gaming companies.  Wow dosnt have to relase 50 expansions every year like other crap games have to do just to make their game good.  They release patches that are huge anyway, and plus they have content to start with, unlike most crap games to release.

The world Howard writes about is meant to be Earth 10,000 years ago, CImmerians are based on Celts (Scots, Irish, Welsh) and Stygians are based on Egyptians ect ect. Hyboria has always had a more realistic feel where Tolkien's work was high fantasy.

So your saying toliken stole ideas from europena mythology?  Just like everything everybody takes ideas from everywhere.  people saying blizzard stole are pure idiots, its tkaing ideas and refining them, like every story, movie and game has ever done. 

You peopel think star wars is original its based a on abloody 1950s Japanese love story.  Anywhere that can take ideas and try to improve on them or extend them is the way of the world, bloody idiots on this site.  Nothing is original untill its bloody invention.  You people think lotro ddo workshop have the patent or trademark on using elves or anything else.  If that was the case no game would eb made, no movies would be made and no stories would be made.  People on this site need to get a bloody grip on reality.

But all things point to having alliance as the favoured faction again, like it was on release, and stopped being when BC came out.

On BC the 'pretty belfs'+horde were dominating on all the marketing made by Blizz, oposed to the alliance biased marketing made on release, but now on WotLK the alliance is coming back to marketing. And from that sandbox, he said that the favoured villages location/size is again heavily biased on alliance.

Now, only time will tell if the Lore(lol) and actual gameplay will keep this trend or not.

 

Feel as you will for the above post, i'm just saying what i and a friend feel like from the WotLK so far.

Guess what I dont give a crap about your delusions, or your so called vet status and that all wow gamers are noobs, if a game is good its bloody good, and being a noob or vet or whatever the fuuck you want to call yourself makes no difference.  Blizzard are a sucessful gaming company not just for 1 year, not 2 but for 15+ years.

And the award for fastest selling PC game goes to Blizzard.  One of the fastest selling pc games, just dosnt cut it.  LOL next gen mmo go back to the drawing board Failcom and try again.

Face it this game hyped and delivered crap like Vanguard, the whole state of the game is a beta.  Funcom should be hanged for hyping and delivering something totally different and rubbish and making the fanbois beleive it was the next big mmo. 

Anyone that upgraded their rigs for this crap, should maybe go play Vanguard again as its now had over a year to improve, probably better than Aoc in its current state.

I also cancelled my account, because Im not going to give a cent to Funcom for their pay to play beta released game.

Their map is huge just to make everyone look and say wow look at the large world mass it has, we will get to see it all ni future expansions lol.  Sorry just can get past the copied zones and loading screens.  For a so called world pvp game all peopel do is spawn camp and then just jump form a copied zone to zone.  There is no sense of actually being in danger in the gaming world.  This game is a joke and like I said in  beta and now this game needed atleast another 4 months before release.

Sure this game isn't the best ever made, but it is fun compared to Wow and Lotro, after playing wow since launch its time for something new, wow is just the same stuff. I found wow more fun before Tbc, and when wotlk comes out guess what... 10 more lvls, different talents, a few new zone, but in the end its the same, grind, raid, crapppy pvp.

I can't say this is the best game ever created, but its prolly my 2nd best mmo experiance. Swg being my first i have yet to find a game that i had as much fun as i had on that one (well before they destroyed it ), but then again its my opinion.

Plus AOC draws an older fanbase, most the people complain are prolly kiddies that find the game to complicated and that can't BOT to make money or lvl and find the combat system to complicated for them cause they accually have to do something besides afk and autoattck.

Get a grip on reality man.  Older fanbase?  because you think it says M rating and it has blood its older fanbase lol?  if anything ingame chat and resurection spawn camping is the worst of any game ever made.  PVP ganking that stops noone.  next gen pvp my arse.  If thats next gen pvp, then wows pvp servers are next gen pvp.

Didnt see the point in rolling a new class as barb was the calls i intended to play.  I played a few other classes in beta for a year, but neevr relaly liked them.  Its just that the journey was not as fun for me as I thought it would be, the loading screens and jumping for zone to zone just kills it for me.

Cancelled today about 30 mins ago, played upto lvl 48 on a barb, and tryed hard to like it, but just force myslef to login anymore.
