You will not have to make a seperate account, just apply the new retail key to your existing master account, the preorder key that is already entered just allows the head start, which is over, the in game items and a grace period to play the game until you do enter your retail. The question which I do not know the exact answer for is how long is the grace period, also another good question is how long will they allow you to enter a preorder key for that will allow for a grace period? I imagine that benefit of the preorder ends at a certain cutoff date when the grace period to enter the retail key deadline is set for. After that period the preorder will only be good for the in game items.

Yes both the CE and Elder beta tester in closed beta will continue to play. They still have alot of bugs to work out.

Did you open your quest inventory? It is a sererate tab when you open your bag.

My friend who was in closed beta for months says he the CTD has been an issue even with small amounts of players on the server.

Great idea Phil, maybe we can help to find a common cause for the CTD's

I have 4 machines running this game and only the version with a clean install of vista crashes.

The rig has decent specs, Quad 6600 with 4gigs of ram an 8800 GT 640 running vista 32 bit.

the other computers some of lesser stats all have xp pro and not one crash.

Ahh, that confirms why my account without the preorder didn't get in. I guess the same will hold true for the next open beta which I think starts around sept 8th.

The Clean Crash to Desktop according to alot of forums is only happening to Vista so must be thier coding of vista is all I can gather. They really do need to fix that quick, it's annoying.

Same happened to me then I found out that just because I had the FP access I did not yet make a EAMythic master account. I made a couple of diferent accounts hoping one would get into the open beta, the only one that was invited was the one I applied a preorder code to. That was hard since it seems alot ofd the ebgames and target are out of the preorder so I actually had to buy off the net. Finally came across a place I believe it was callled preordersales . com or something along that sort. I also tried the accounts to log in that said applied at the beta site and there isn't a message if you aren't in the system or even if you get your password wrong it just keeps looping back to the sign in. Also your master account and beta login are different that is one mistake I made.

I tried for over an hour now and the Wow account site is down or so slow it will take an hour to load. For such a large game with the amount of money they have you would think they would keep there server working.

Thain I want to make a general fan site, not to large just info, forums and guides etc.

YOu should also mention that EBgames only charges $5.00 for the preorder unlike most those sites. You can try the beta that way without totally commiting to the $50.00 for the game. You never know it might be too taxing for your system. Course if your rich you can always buy the pre orders on ebay for like $30.00

I haven't tried AOC on my fastest machine yet but I have tried the game on my second fastest one which is:

E6600 Intel Duo

4gigs ram (only 3gigs matter since im using XP and I turn down disk access)

DDR3 256 meg NVIDIA 8600 GTS PCIE

The game play seems choppy in high res but plays fairly ok in Med settings. Course all this could be due to server lag not really sure. I do have a Quad 6600 with a DDR 3 640 8800 GTS with vista ultimate edition using 8 gigs of ram (which doesn't seem to use the 8 gigs though). Once I burn off the 12 gigs the game takes to a couple of DVDs I will try it on my other system.

Ya you do have to be careful, I looked up the seller and the seller has sold several of these with all positive feedback,  the seller is also a power seller with 100 percent so I feel pretty safe.

The good thing is you answered my question about using the ce code I was not sure about that.

I actually found someone selling a couple of brand new SWG collectors editions, do people actually buy these and keep them for years un opened? I have never seen them for sale at eb games or even on the officail site but on Ebay I saw two of these for sale. So that means this person must of bought these years ago and never opened them. Seems to be along time to hold on to something. The only problem I see in buying one is I would have to start a whole new account to get all the benefits from the collectors edition not sure if that is worth it.

Last time I bought a preorder from amazon I had to wait forever, I actually find almost instant and alot better service from those seliing on ebay. make sure to be safe though and look for a seller with tons of positive feedback selling that product.
