Tonight while traveling through an RvR zone, I came across a Swordmaster the same level as my 21 DoK. So I buff and engage in one of the coolest battles I've been since 2005!

In the end, my healing was the difference in a very close fight. I gave a respectful /bow and left the area. All in all, I'm having a blast in WARHAMMER ONLINE.

As DOK you should kill same level Swordmaster!

You heal yourself, he does not.

His HP can only goone way -> down.

Play the game and enjoy it, do what you want when you want, and let the XP and lvls come when they come.

If you are forever watching your XP and rush to level when you get to cap you may well be burnt out(more or less like power levellers do).

 

I find that WAR is a bit different to other MMOs, as you participate in PvP from a very low level, once you get to about lvl10 you will have a decent amount of skills to let you enjoy the class, as such you dont have to be at max lvl to enjoy it.

So my advice is play the game not the levels!

 

You see. While you might be right...you are completely wrong

Mythic made huge game world with pve quests, pq, rvr , battle keeps.

Than they went and made 12 pvp arena minigames.

Now the whole world is empty because people are playing those minigames - you might say its for fun. But de-facto its because it brings way more benefit than doing anything else.

So per-fact WAR is turned to minigame. I am paying 15$ to play MINIGAME!?

I want to play WAR the MMO but i cant because they made MINIGAME most benefitial part of the game

It was known since the open beta that Engineer and Magus are broken classes

This is the big problem.

Servers are empty , everyone is playing scenarios.

Mythic should fix this problem asap. Since people are starting to notice and get preddy pissed

It is fun to watch all the noobs that rolled WH's on EU-Burlok server.

Probably thinking "Oh! I look so cool , and i am rogue pwning everyone!"

There was 10 WHs on each other order class

Now in T3 , when it shows WH is class that needs exceptional skill to play good....

suddenly there is no WH to be found.

Because Runepriest is best HEALER in the game

If you wanted to kill people you chose the worst class to do it.

But honestly. In PVP (if you play with sane players with over 20 IQ) Enemy that even dares to approach Runepriest will have Ironbreakers pounding on him like there is no tomorrow. There is no way anybody will get close to you.

Than if you PVP solo. Most classes can not kill nothing solo.

And if you are worried for XP in scenarios ?

Healing gives way more XP than damaging...

So .. case closed ?

Yesterday I played my IB , tanked Champion in PQ. And next to me stand two healers and do not heal me.

Although they could not complete the PQ without me ?!?!

I am on Burlok (eu) RP server

The game is obviously not designed toward roleplay. At least at this moment.

For some reason Mythic decided to prevent mass communication by not creating any kind of realm wide chat channel. Sure you can create one - but even such channels only recruit 20-30 people at given time.

Lack of RP emotes and clear RP hubs doesnt help much aswell.

But if you want MMO focused on RP you are better off playing LOTRO.

So RP on WAR ?

Warhammer is all about RVR. And even on RP servers you can see that.

On BURLOK , most of people do RP in /SAY , and they yell and shout about honour of Empire, and glory of chaos.

And than they go and PVP

Trolling, trolling will never change.

Over 4 years i was acussed of being troll over and over. Unfortunately its hard to discern troll from passionate gamer that really hopes and wants that quality of MMO games improve.

So now after 4 years of waiting, and trying every damn MMO that came out. Finally there is one that looks like was made by people that didnt take crazy pills, or just bunched something together cause they ran out production money.

Surely its not the best MMO in the world evah' , surely there is A LOT place for improvement.

But the game is GREAT , its not fundamentaly broken like AOC or Vanguard or DDO or any other MMO that couldnt suceed because in its core it was flawed design from start.

No -

WAR is a game that is great now and will only continue to be great.

But trolling will never change.

Because some people are not here because they love gaming, not because they love MMOs.

They are here like soccer fans. They do not like their team because it play good. They like it because they are home town supporters. And every other team sucks , no mather how good they play.

So I am not suprised about some posts on this forums.

Just remember. When you read "IT SUCKS" post , look for actual explanation.

Playing at 1920*1200, I have no issues in BGs, none at all, but whenever I get to a siege in T2, specially on the stairs and the second floor, my PC lags like hell, I have to go to the balcony just so I can have a good chance to target properly and heal.

Will try to install the disc stuff and tell you if it works, since yes, I was playing with the beta's client.

I dont think there is any difference between beta and release client.

Now i have very similar PC. I run everything on max and have no lag at all. Except perhaps 1-2 seccond stuttering when entering completely new area.

Still the game is memory hog. It will take up to 1.5GB memory easily. And there are some areas in game that are less optimised and slow down performance. This is probably what you are experiencing.

Also it is good idea to

1. Defragment the HD , including system one

2. Not run any programms in background

WAR is not WOW

You want a GREAT game that is more twitch inclined and has no Autofacing , play WOW.

Not all the games have to have completely same functionality

a BW actually takes fairly little time to cook their spells, in  10 seconds ill have a full combustion bar. after i get the immolation spell for a instant cast 40 combusion ill have a near full bar in 2 seconds.

But heres the thing, what utility do you have? basically the only thing you have is takedown. Your AP regen buff is counterpointed by dps/defense buffs from BW, your melee abilities are pointless if you get into melee you are eaten alive. If you are running around kiting someone then you arent capturing a node or anything.

A BWs disadvantage is that he self damages, which in group pvp isnt a issue since a few hots from a healer will keep a bw pretty much cranking out way more damage then a SW ever could.

A SW doesn't have a big advantage, "mobility" is mainly a factor in scenarios and even then only when you are off solo or in a strange situation the last one alive and left with 1 opponent.

IF you melee you are going to be eaten alive, your long range is outclassed, and your movement isn't that spectacular(since even a BW has a large variety of DoTs and instants they can do on the move)

 

What utility do you bring to the group over a BW?

Its no secret that BW is redeeming class of Order.

They are probably the only class that is really good and powerfull. The more BWs we have the better.

Actually i seen group of BWs completely turn the tides of battle

So I can warmly recommend you play BW and help our side greatly.

I myself like SW for his mobility and melee. BW just feels slow and static class for me, while

SW is all running like crazy and being on the move...

And that tactic works good for this class , as you can see from above numbers

Its quite depressing.

Realm balance is laughable

Order 1% vs 99% to Destruction , almost all the time yesterday.

I guess we will never see Capital city raid...but our city will be raided all the time.

Still , we Order players are underdogs. We enjoy swimming against stream. Fighting.

We dont join winning side in order to win.

We join loosing side and make it win !

My fellow MMO players , its happening as we speak.

The unthinkable is happening. WOW finally has competition!

In fact WOW is being brutally pwned by a game that made PVP fun for EVERYONE (yes including carebear and hardcores - in fact there is big battle of carebears vs hardcores happening right now somwhere on WAR servers)

Dont listen to naysayers. Cause they them self will be playing WAR pretty soon

Only If you play your MMO for social intellectual reasons you could skip WAR ,

But if the reson you play MMO is to have FUN , than your time has finally come.

So me and couple of my buddys.  (Read that 20 ironbreakers and 5 runepriests.) went to settle the score.

Did you ever see steamroller flatten old defensless lady and her poodle ? It looked something like that

Yes you do. Ive tried twice and once i get to the billing step it either asks for a credit card or a game card. Please fill me in if there is a way around this.
