I picked up my copy of Warhammer today from my local gamestop and got it all installed. I tried to set up account but it says I cannot use this key yet! So my question is when do server go live or when can I activate my key any talk of exactly what time? I looked and didnt find anything.

Ill you have to do it call blizzard at the number you can get from WoW website and tell them you think you account was hacked there is information that doesn't change they can check stuff and fix it for you,I had this happen to me once over a year ago. It is simple I was on the phone for like 2 mins and he reset my password and fixed my email address. You need your secret word and you information but because it is your account I am sure you will have no problem answering all the questions.

I played WoW for 2 years, I have played LotRO for awhile, I play AoC now and starting to get a little bored with it, So guess what I thought I would stick in Vanguard since they are doing the come back and check out what we have changed/fixed and I am liking it a lot Vanguard has so much more depth then those games. I am not going to lie I like AoC alot and LotRO is a really good game just not for me, it bored me really fast. WoW really that game needs to be done... I enjoyed it for 2 years the last year was on and off a lot but all in all. You pick I think they are all pretty good games.

This website for this game hasn't had but maybe a couple of things added in over the last year. It would suck to be someone who pre-ordered this game, because it's not even close to a beta at all. It would be nice, but they just don't have the development team needed for this kind of project. I hope that someone picks them up and this game can be a success but for now it seems like it is on hold or was a college project turned bad and they actually had to get a real job because there dream isn't paying. As long as SOE doesn't pick this up I am fine with anyone else taking this and running with it.

It has it's issues, but all in all I enjoy this game I have been playing it since early access. They are working out issues a little bit slower now and sometimes they have screwed the pooch, but I haven't noticed as much, but maybe im not as picky as some people. Me and my friends have a lot of fun in this game, enough to have lvl 70's and 80's and still play. I have three character a 54 assassin a 53 Conquerer and a 20 Priest of Mitra. I love the fatalities in this game, cutting someones head off or jamming my blade in them then throwing my hands up and getting in his face laughing to ripping my Two-handed Axe out of him and watching his lifeless body hit the ground is one of my favorite ones so far. This game isn't bad, but that is my opinion and you might not like it. My first set of advice if you don't meet requirements don't get it, because not having a rig that can handle it will ruin the experience for you, if you do! Go pick it up and check it you, at least you will confirm for yourself and hey you might really enjoy it.

I just had this problem and seem to fix it by disconnecting my router and running the launcher again. Works fine now.

I get this same problem I am doing the same thing, I am trying it out again and the download stops if you click details it says file size does not match local blah blah vs server blah blah. I have deleted that file, same thing happens again same file. Is there a known way to pass this problem.

The only thing I have to say here is I am a programmer as well, lets give radlin the benefit of the doubt... Even if they are doing what you say, They still had to create collision detection between the character running around and the world he runs on. For an experience programmer doing input controls from a keyboard isn't that hard to do, there are far harder things done to make a game so I wouldn't count on this being the case, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they are doing that, the videos do suck, at least the ones I have seen, but you still need collision this isn't a 2D tile map game you are going to need it for the world unless it is perfectly flat!

edit: much to my surprise the original Half-Life was also labelled vaporware and "too ambitious" by several industry commentators, and also struggled for a long time to find a publisher.

 

 

Heh i remember people calling HL2 vaporware.

FFS, HL2 is a FPS that took 6 YEARS to develop.  With a much bigger team than adv. And it wasnt revamped 2 years after the start.   And people think its easy to release a MMO early.  Look at all the companies that tried that......

I have to agree here, people don't understand that great mmo's aren't made overnight as I stated in another post. Anyone who knows anything about game development should know that a game is going to offer a wide range of features and maybe even new design takes a long time and that is an understatment. I am a game programmer in school still, but I can tell you designing the game is hard takes a lot of time, then developing the game engine is a very time consuming task considering these are the dynamics the game is running off of, and this is just a small amount to developing a game.

I can say this game exist, I know I have seen the gameplay videos, yes I said videos. If you all are so interested in this game try looking up some gameplay videos. I don't mean showing the area I mean actual fighting and running around. This game is coming out whether it is good or bad, to much money has been invested in it to not release it. I have a question for anyone who knows game development... How long did it take to make WoW? If you know that answer, now think of a game that has so many more features in it and times that  number and you get a long development time. You can't make a great game overnight and certainly WoW wasn't created over night, so people do the math a game promising all these features better take a hell of a long time or it wont have everything promised. Lets get real even movies take a long time to make.

For $688 I built my friend a computer that runs AoC on high setting at 50 - 70 fps.

I am lvl 54 and so far grinded a half a lvl I have a alt lvl 42 who is lvling faster then my main did and I haven't done alot of quest. My friend is lvl 62 and so far so good and I know people who are in the 70's that have had no problem so to each his own the content is there you have to find it. People said the 40's you had to grind yet I haven't had to. Then they said 50's you have to grind. So far so good for me I have plenty of quest on my main and my friend has had no problems. So........

For one they stated in the very beginning that the two patches a week wasn't forever it was until they get some of the bugs out of the way and then they even stated that it would be once a week eventually. You noobs who don't know how to read and just want to hate on something get a real reason! This being promised shit doesn't cut it, since they didn't!

probably playing AoC... like a lot of people, all I have to say is I enjoy this game and it has been along time since I have enjoyed a game this much. It has been about 1 1/2 year since I have been into a game since I was a WoW player.

To the people who are interested, don't listen to peoples BS on here, if you are interested pick it up you are either going to like it or not.

HAHA I am right there with you, I get all excited about the fatalities and show my fiancee, but she doesn't get it at all. I still love the combat in AoC I have my main a lvl 40 and I am still not bored with the combat system at all I just got some nice moves at lvl 40.

There is no way you have no problem running LOTRO in high settings with that crap video card. I had the 8500 GT when I first bought my computer, and LOTRO ran like crap. I had to dial the graphics way down to get an acceptable frame rate. The 8500 is a suck piece of crap.

 

I later upgraded to an 8800 GTS, and LOTRO now runs pretty well on highest settings. Vanguard, however, runs better than LOTRO, on max setting, on my computer.

Actually I was running a AMD Athlon 64 2.2ghz, 2gb PC6400 DDR 400mhz ram, 8500 GT 512MB and I was running LotRO on high settings too with perfect gameplay and then I got into AoC and could barely play it on low settings @ 10 fps average. So I upgraded, but that card does really suck balls but I was still able to play LotRO on high. I don't know why yours ran like crap.

I actually just built a new machine for my friend so he can play AoC and he can play on High with about 30 - 50 fps and he only spent $688.85 on parts I ordered for him that includes shipping. That is so far under 2K, hahaha I laugh at people who buy pre-manufactured pc's because they don't know what there getting quality wise and they pay a grip because it has the name on it, but the parts are cheap as hell and in some cases they crap out on you just after a year of having it!
