The problems you have are,your cpu is under the rec specs but you have options there to OC or maybe it will be fine,time will tell.

Your gfx card is ok but again 256mb is under the 512mb that really is needed,but I see no problem with this for lower game specs.

You are running Vista with 2gb,If I was you I wouldnt worry about the gfx card  I would go out and get myself another 2gb ram,I think you will be suprised how much better it runs.

If you still have problems then OC your cpu,other than that you will be fine.Remember the min spec's are a 3.0 cpu

The thing is m8 there are alot of ppl saying"8800gt" card,which is a great gaming card but with your cpu you could end up bottle necking it and getting no-where near its use,The thing is its ok to have a great gamming card but you cpu is just about on the min spec's,My advice is get the game and play it and go from there and dont waste money on great cards when the rest of your system will drag it down.

This wont kill WoW,nothing will,WoW was something that wont be repeated again,trust me.

AoC is a good game in its own right and will stand alone and give player's alot of fun,dont judge every game against WoW,WoW was big for many reason's including it could run on almost every system,AoC cant and neither will most MMo'S in the future.

M8 some ppl like too go overboard,Grab yourself the 8800gt 512mb,vista 32 and 4gb ram and you will be ok with a high setting.

If this thread is still around in 5/6 months when TCoS is near to  releasing I will vote then.

Mah like you said wouldnt judge the community on the beta,also the time's I have really enjoyed a MMo is with my guild and some friends I met along the way,There are lots of guilds looking for"adult" member's(yep we both know this is also sometime's a hit or a miss)so you could try to join a pre-AoC guild and try it out.

I think it wont matter too much with the age restriction's of this game,maybe the higher pc spec's will,but at the end off the day every game gets its share...

LOL so much wrong with you,You feel you get power by being say lvl 60 and killing someone at lvl 20,yep you do dont you,I cant imagine 1 gamming crowd that would welcome a player like yourself,my suggestion is leave MMo games for a bit,experience real life then try again,if it still doesnt fit then play off-line games.

Yep AO was a terrible release that is for sure,but having said that they have approached this release alot different from that one,also we all learn from mistake's....dont we?

And I still get random crashes, due I am sure to the known memory leak.
