Can you also own mounts and such?

On the performance whats normal performance for the game? I seem to have a good comp and thought I would get more FPS then I was getting.

Well someone was nice enough to give me an account to use and try this out. Well I was quite impressed it did feel a little like EQ2 to me. But looked better I only got through the little starting area. But it was fun on what I played. I did get one hiccup while in combat.

I do not know if this is normal. But mostly was running 60-75 FPS the entire time. I think it was on high settings though whatever it set me to for default anyway. Not sure how good my computer should be running this game I have an AMD 6400+,4GB Ram. and an 8800 GTS. So I figure I can get decent fps. but figured it would be higher then what it was. When I got around alot of NPC's in the area I droped to like 48-50.

All in all it was fun not sure right now if it is something I will subscribe to but I am gonna give it a try till the 30th or whatever and see what happens.

But that isnt a bad thing. I love having enough money for the cool stuff. But I am sure we still see drops and such since there will be AH's and potions and such will be sellable. As of right now I think everything is kinda wait and see for the economy.

Makes sense to bash a game in beta, though..... they are of course playing one.

To its credit I was excited about AOC but the PVP weekend and Open Beta let me down and I canceled my pre-order it was horrible. i had horrid memory leaks and crashing it was so awful. I tried to say well it was just in beta but then it didn't get better.

But from WAR I like what I see and this is the kinda game I wanna play.

The thing about WAR is Mythic gives us SO Much info. I mean you can normally literally find stuff from them everyday on the site or around the web. It seems they are in no way ashamed of there game and are really proud of what they are going to put out. Thats one thing that annoyed me about AOC there was alot of secrets and hiding stuff and not enogh info coming out.

On the other hand Mythic seems to answer questions and such to let people know whats going on at every step of there game. They are taking a better approach to beta I hear to by only having players play a certain area or whatever until they get it right. I love them doing this as this way you know well this class or this area feels right lets move on. So it seems they really want it to be a huge hit and are putting alot of there effort into it

I mean they even went as far as to let people watch there voice actors being recorded. So yeah with a great team like this and a company who gives me all the info I want or need I will keep my full faith in them until they prove me otherwise. Most beta testers that have posted anything are VERY happy and say its nothing to worry about. With AOC everyone said it needed more time in beta we saw that when we went in for the open beta (if you went in).

So in conclusion just don't listen to the haters or the folks who are mad listen to the real testers or listen to Mythic who put out information constantly to keep us updated.

Thanks hadn't seen those and they good in HD. The games looks better and better everytime I see new stuff. I mean its the BEST graphics but the way I look at it is that it looks like WAR is supposed to.

I hate forced grouping myself. I think this feature is out in alot of games. But yeah in PVP you will probably want to be in a group to get heals and buffs and such. But I wouldn't call the game heavily group oriented its meant to be more casual pick it up do some quests or pvp and log off.

Yeah FFXI would be your game after level 14 or so you HAVE to have a group to even level. Thats why I hated it lol.

I was wondering this to. Its the only class on the site you cannt click on to find out more info. Even the White Lion you can click on so that had me worried. Maybe they are just getting the class right cause it my be a little different.

Still gonna wait for a free trial no BB's in my area unfortunately only Wal-mart and such. As I said its not a big deal just was wondering and wanted to try it out.

Well I do not mind soloing I was used to grouping in COH,WOW, and LOTRO. But the thing is some game si have played didn't have that option to solo like FFXI and COH up to a point after that you had to group. But WOW (as everyone knows) and LOTRO are very solo friendly. I found LOTRO to have good grouping I always found groups and such and the fellowship moves made it interesting.

But yeah solo is a big breaker for me if I HAVE to group I probably won't be playing I like having options and sometimes I just do not have time or want to spend time with others maybe just do my thing for a few hours. I do not wanna have to sit around like I did in FFXI and get XP groups that fall apart after 25 mins and then it leaves you behind and just looking for someone else. WOW I leveled probably 10 chars all the way to 60 or 70 depending on the time I leveled them lol.

Yeah I built mine back in January with a 8800 GTS 512.4Gb ram, AMD 6400+ processor. I have no problems running anything. And I am sure WAR will be no exception.

And I hope also it comes out before November the waiting is killing me lol.

Yeah I really hope so also. I do not wanna plop money down as I said without trying it first just the way I am I guess lol.

On grouping and such is the game soloable at all if so up to what level? Sometimes I just hate to look for groups to go out and level like in some games. So I love when the option is there to solo.

Eh I do not use Ebay unfortunately. Its not a huge deal really I can live without it I just wanted a free trial do not really wanna waste any money on something if I may not life it. Was just wondering really if I come across something cheap I may pick it up. But I hear alot of mixed reviews so wanna try it first lol.

Ah cool. Suck though it sbeen out this long and from what I hear has low numbers. So a free trial may help. A trial can really sway someone especially if they are on the fence of spending $40 on another game they may not enjoy and do not wanna waste money on.

I was really interested in trying it but ah well. Still trying to see something to hold me over till WAR comes out playing EQ2 right now for the 60 days free but nto sure how much I like it.  Wanted to try this game as it looks nice and seems they fixed most of the issues.

I have been reading up on this game and it sounds interesting. But I see where it looks like they offer no free trial or anything? I wanna try it but dont wanna put down the $40.

They should really offer a small trial for folks.

I'm having a great time now, about 75% solo and having no problems leveling. I'm a melee oriented Mystic, dont really know how the other classes fair solo, but i do see lots of solo and small groups around so i guess everyone can. Good luck and hope you have fun.

Well dling through launcher now. I forgot I even had an account. I logged in under my old stuff (they still allowed 6 character log in passwords since my password was still the same lol) So I am getitng the game now through launcher. But kind of confused I guess all I do is long in when it is done update all that.

But when it is over if I like it what do I do subscribe or hows does this work? If your an old customer do they just give you the old expansions and such to bring you back?

Ah ok I guess I saw yeah The Living Legacy entitles you to all the titles as long as you become a paid subscriber. So I guess for $15 I can buy them lol. Kind of funny I only had a trial account from 04' but I guess this was for everyone who had accounts that werent active up to that date.

Thanks for this I had the trial back in 2004 and didn't enjoy so I never added the game. I got early access or something for pre-order. I have all SOE games with free trials right now lol I have like 56 days for EQ1 lol. But yeah I see the EQ2 60 says in my account. So I guess I just download the launcher and download the game then?

So when the days end is the time up or do you just subscribe?

Wondering how much of the game can you solo if you wish? Do you HAVE to group up to be able to level and such? I have never play an EQ game really I bought this game when it came out but didn't stick with it and only played maybe 30 mins lol.

So I have 60 days free. I assume all I do is DL the launcher and DL the game from them correct? I had the beta thing back in 04' and haven't played since. Anyway it says I have all this.

  • Entitlement: Auction Beta
  • Entitlement: Desert of Flames + In-Game Item: Genie Bottle
  • Entitlement: Echoes of Faydwer
  • Entitlement: Kingdom of Sky
  • Entitlement: Rise of Kunark

  • Entitlement: The Fallen Dynasty
  • Entitlement: The Splitpaw Saga
  • In-Game Item: Cloak of the Void (requires The Shadow Odyssey)

  • In-Game Item: Journeyman Boots
  • In-Game Item: Mysterious Shard
  • In-Game Item: Ring of T'Haen

So after the trial ends do I need to buy all the games or whatever or just subscribe?
