I feel sad, cause the class that i will end up playing (if i get the gmae, which i probably will) is an order class, and i had bad expriences in the all to similar Alliance in WoW

although it would need a little work, a hellsing MMO would be nice (google it, hellsing is an anime about a vampire who is part of an organization called "Hellsing" and hunts vampires.

you could start out either becoming a vampire my Alucard, or being Bio-Engineered to be a regenerator, or even become an artificial vampire. there would be huge PvP capabilities.  and combat could be maasive "you vs army of zombies" type of fighting, it could take place in London, Scotland and Germany.  it would be a good mmo in my opinion, quite a bit of material.

If you have not seen Hellsing, watch it, but try to watch the OVA version. and English Voice acting is actually good in it 0_o

well, nearly all mmo's these days cost that amount. if you work, then it should be nothing. usually about 2-3 hours of work, if not just one, for a colledge student would pay for a whole month of gameing. :)

i think that is is really messed up how people think that girls don't play MMO's lol, ive talken to many women on vent, there are many women in my guild atm. and it's sad, that when most people figure out that a girl is playing, they start either acting sexually rude, or insult them, saying that they are probally fat and don't have a job. stereotypes are the main cause of this stuff i guess.

exactly!, just because people type like that does not mean they type like that all the time.

and normally i don't get worked up in threads, but two things that make me mad, are people who act like elitists and fanbois.(and yes, for some reason, people spell "boys" bois when you say that)

ok, the next thing here, why the hel are you aquainting Intilect with spelling? does spelling really have anything to do with someones IQ?, and if it does, how?

secondly, language does not always have to stay the same, as you say it does. Language actually splits in o two different languages every few hundred years years, because of so many changed in the, that they basically form  distict languages. Why can't things change?, the world is not gonna wait behind for people who can not comprahend it.

thirdly, i think it funny you saying "you internet generation dancing monkeys", why does the internet generation have to wait behind, and change their ways, for people such as you?

fourthly(i dont even know if thats a word)  why are you saying so many things about the real world, and how we are going to fail in the real world because we don't use proper grammar in forums and in MMO's. people know that they have to spell right on things such as that, and a colladge aplication is something that people do not rush. don't aquaint what peopel do here to real life, as it is not the always case.

why is it though, that so many things are happening in the world, war, famine, drouts, gas prices, political drama, poverty, wellfare, medicare, and yet, Video games, and places like this, which are meant for entertainment, and to get away from the "real world" being censored by people, for how we use grammar of all things. Flaming about Racism, or eing morbid, or threats and idiocy is one thing, but atacking people about Grammar is something else entirely. let people typ how they want, the internet is the ultimate place for free speech. and "free" speech also encompases how you "speek" your speech

I can understand why you people ahte this stuff, but that is not gonna keep people from using it. Yes, i type fairly well when it comes to real life activities, i just do not want to be nitpicky when it comes to things like mmo's, i don;t like to keep people waiting, so i try to respond very fast. I do not use "Text" speech much in games, only at time where I am beat from RL. Most of these things you are talking about, are simply mistakes from hitting the keys on the keyboard at the right place. And mmo's unfortunately don't have spell check, and if it did, then no one would use it. All I am saying, that for many people, it is either more convenient to use it, or for me, it is more convenient and i make lotz of mistakes with my big grubby fingers.

sigh, Lineage was the first "Korean" game made, and yes, it had a huge grind. When people refer to the generic "Korean MMO" which has grind, they are all usaully knockoff's of lineage. So, first of all, dont simply associate a game that comes from Korea to be a grindfest just because you say so. The developers have flat out said, there will be no grind, if you don't want to grind. You can quest your way completely to the max lvl, or, if you prefer it, you can grind your way to amx lvl, which you can do in almost every game. anyways, the normal things, read, research, don't bring in stearotypes, and the such.

lol ummm ok. How many kids actually want to get into a 18+ guild? And any guild that does have that requirement, are usually doing less then favorable things. Your talking like most of the guilds in MMO's have an age limit, and ive only heard of them, ive never seen one. Your talking about such a small amount of guilds in the MMO community, i just dont see how it can relate the to the topic.

Also i never mentioned 18+ guilds, YOU did. I was only mentioning that age =/= maturity. If i did want to start a thread about guilds with an age limit, i would have mentioned it in the Original post. But GJ on derailing my thread.

There are many very large 18+ guilds in games, The last one I was in was around 600 members.  See the life cycle pretty much goes like this. We are little kids we like all kinds of crazy things and run amuck, then we become older children  where we think that everything we liked when we were little  is now " childish " and "immature"  and that we are too mature now to like such things, then you become an adult.. and you start to do crazy things again and run amuck... but now you are held accountable.  This is because when you become an adult, you realize life is too short not to enjoy it while it lasts.

I am sorry to be this way, but you seriously do not know what we kids are exposed to these days. I am currently 16. I am a junior in highschool, and i switched to a private school after middle school due to financial aid and scholorships. I must tell you, that kids today are not mindless, sheltered idiots, although many of them are idiots. In MIDDLE SCHOOL, from 6th to 8th grade, there was more sexual talk, drug refrenses, alcahol refernese, and so on, than you could possibly imagine or even comprahend. I know people that got preagnent in middle school, got expelled for drugs in middle school, and everything else you could think of.

Private school, against many peoples ideas, are not a place for snobby rich kids. although there are plenty of em in my school. There is just as much sexual talk, if not more, then middle school. There are idiots, there are druggies. And i do not doubt that one person in my school doesnt google pornagraphic and sexual material on a nightly basis, if not more. Kids are not sheltered like you say. Kids these days are getting into gang fights. Kids these days are cusing out their teachers. Kids these days party and drink, do drugs, and anything else you can think of.

You believe that the internet isnt a place for kids. Kids are actually growing into your "Adult" frame of mind at an earlier age then ever before. Frankly because of the internet. No matter what parents do to pretect their children, no matter what you do to protect us from the "Horrors" of the real world, we see it daily on the Movie Screen, Tv Screen, and Computer Screen. Kids these days are exposed to more then most adults could ever dream of. And i know that from personal experience.

I dont care how much people hate it, I use that type of speech all the time in MMO's. It is quick, easy,  and more conenient to use. At least I, and many other people too, do not simply forget true grammer. Is it really that wrong to make things easier?, for the sake of nothing but conienience.

ok, i see one guy promoting WoW, and putting down other games, saying that they don't have what WoW has, but, the thing is, I will use the Wal-Mart ananology. When you want something fast, easy, but usually less rewarding in the end, you go to Wal-Mart. But when you want something a little bit differnet, in a way that Wal-Mart doesn't have, you go to a specialty store (ie, gamestop instead of Walmart game section) Do not put down other games because they do not do "everything" equeally like WoW, but they do several things exceptional.

And then I see promoting WoW on the same generic points over and over, and not saying much else, and I don't have that much pf a problem with it, just that it is to generic to make a debate over, and many things, other game have.

So lets end this at least, and let us stop dragging out all of these arguments on generic points by each side. so, lets end it, stop the flaming, and have a nice day :)

FOllowing Ncsoft's tradition, i bet there will be, although i dont think of them as expansions, more then Big Patches. I also will almost gurantee that one or tow of em will have new classes lol, always do with anything relating to NCsoft lol.

Would love to see a "good" si-fi mmo. Eve is good to an extent, and so is Star Wars Galaxies, and Tabula Rasa is actually pretty good now. I actually haven't heard of to many Si-Fi mmo's that are in development, or at least, havn't heard muchy about them.

like I said, don;t trust Amazon or any other site like that, NCsoft have said that themselves. The dates were questimated to try and generate revenues through ore-orders, The release date is estimated by Dev's to be late this year early next year.

well to start off, if the grind was horrible to you, then you better forget half the MMO's out there right now. All MMO's have at least a little grind to them. The WoW grind on the other hand was easy as hell, and one could casually get yo 70 in 2 months or less.

Second, yes, all MMO's have at least a little raiding in them, But WoW and several other games hold a strong need to raid. And also, look for a game without the Battleground system of PvP, and more open world PvP system.

The art style, in my opinion, and millions of others, it almost laughable. the have yet to update graphics after  years, and even at the starting point in the market, they were not great graphics. Although, that is personal preferense.

Well, I would suggest Aion as one option, but you said was to girly and brought its rating down a little but, and that is enough for me to kill you for not researching it at all (If you look past the first few pictures, it is nowhere near girly, and way more mature then WoW) Aion has a massive PvPvE system, as well as little grind, but still a long time to get to max lvl. Good community so far. Release date should be beggining of next year.

City of Heroes/Villians is another option for you, it has been out for a while. Great community, great customization, and a different play type then other games. A casual game, pretty fun, and might entertain you. Similar art style to WoW.

That is all I have for you, you are hoping for instant gratification from an MMO, which you will not get, and evn if you do, it will get boring after a very short period of time.

that date was most likely from a website such as Amazon or Gamespot, or any other company that sells games(I am not saying that it is, just most likely) and the Deveopers hava said not to trust these websites, as they want to rake in money from pre orders. Wait for an official release date and see, I would love it to be that date though :)
