I didn't know her, but for your comments I suppose she was young. It's truly sad to know that a young person dies.

RIP

I agree with microtransaction when it just allows you to get faster any content in the game, not exclusive content

In general, i don't mind about F2P (with microtransactions) or standard monthly fee. But just because the games where you must pay each month usually have better content than F2P games (and usually there are less kids shrieking at any time)

In your opinion, which MMORPG feature has:

1) evolved the most, since the begining of the genre?

2) changed the least, since the begining of the genre?

3) changed (for the worse), since the begining of the genre?

Just to be clear, these are three answers for three DIFFERENT features.  I'll leave my answers out, because I don't want to "steer" the thread in any specific direction.

1) The skill system, but there are few games that use it. This feature is exceptional when you must train your skills, or even when they evolve semi-automatically (like EVE Online)

2) Unfortunately, the housing system, there are very few games that have this feature

3) The grinding, this is commonly used to drain the player's wallet each month. In order to reach the max level to do something fun, you must spend hundreds of boring hours killing one monster after the other or doing quests repetitively.

I can't stand a game with a medium to very complex UI except if i have learned to play before.

Maybe i am getting old with just 20 years or maybe the majority of the games are truly s....crap

What do you think?

Hardly you will see people from outside Europe. Unless you have an european proxy or something you can't play in the servers.

I also want to know it.

It's not fair that they allow you to download the game and then, after some hours, you can't play because you are not playing from north-america

I hope that the explanation about the stupid agreement in the contract signed by Nexon it's true

PS: Does anyone know a way to use a north-american proxy for this game?

It's my opinion that the price should be $5 US with conversions being appropriate based on currency.

steve

Thanks for the sincerity. Well, I was thinking about paying for 1 month or 2 until Age of Conan reaches the stores.

Anyway, despite of the price, it's a real fun game

Except by the fact that the usual purchasing power in Spain is lower than in many countries in Europe. But anyway that doesn't matter. Every company is f*cking us with the conversion dolar - euro. It's useless to complain....

Unfortunately, there is no GTC in Dungeon Runners. But i am going to check if the price difference is due to certain tax set for foreign products.

PS: I don't know if that tax is applicable in software distributed by Internet

Some time ago, iI earned a free premium account during 1 month.

I enjoyed it very much and i would pay for a premium account if they weren't trying to scam me.

I consider it's a scam because 1 Euro is not 1 Dolar

Even if they are setting different prices on each region, because i can't pay in dolars (well, maybe if i change my country in my account settings or something)

For example, imagine that in UK you must pay 4.99 pounds. It would be hilarious.

This is another example of how the companys are scamming us with the conversion $ -> €

From the american page

http://www.plaync.com/us/support/doc_3933.html?prod=305

1 month - $4.99*
3 months - $14.97* (the equivalent of $4.99 per month)
6 months - $29.94* (the equivalent of $4.99 per month)
12 months - $59.88* (the equivalent of $4.99 per month)

From the suscription page with an european account (spanish in my case)

Plan de tarjeta de crédito

1 mes - €4.99

Calculating it by myself

1 USD = 0.64 EUR

4.99$ = 3.20 EUR

Great list, it's enough to clean a big portion of the LFG forum

PS: I should have read that list (i am trying EQ2 thanks to this list)

In my opinion, the worse thing about Wurm Online is....

http://mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/gameId/129/setView/screens/display/1151

The incredible bad texturized stick-man. Seriously, is this a man or a moob?

PS: Sorry, i didn't want to be sarcastic

I have checking new games in the Game List and i saw Dream of Mirror Online. It seems a kind of Ragnarok Online but more evolved and simplified (but it's enough complex)

Personally, i won't try many new games because i am tired of learn how to play each game (followed by disliking the game, and uninstalling it).

I want something more direct.

PS: Not similar to Diablo, it was a good game but i played enough time to dislike it.

Wurm's graphics are crappy, and it's game mechanics are rough and too strict (despite of the freedom to do what you want)

Dont know what graphics you are looking at, but i have found them to be pretty damn good... Im not saying its the best, but damn i have seen much much much worse. Try messing with the graphic options as that makes a HUGH differance in what the graphics actually look like.

Also what game mechanics tht are rough and strict are you talking about?

I agree, Argentum Online and Ultima Online have worse graphics, but anyway, Wurm doesn't reach my minimun preferences about the graphics.

About the game mechanics, i was annoyed by the sub-sub-sub-menus. When i was trying to do something in the game, i must clic in the contextual item, then clic in an element of the menu, then another clic in other element of the submenu, then another clic..... And even some actions doesn't have sense at all (sorry, in this case i don't remember any example, but it's due to i'm trying to forget it)

At last, i didn't like the character's movement. They seem to be moving over railroads.

Maybe i'll try Vanguard, but i have heard that it has a low population of players.

PS: I have tried Wurm long time ago and i didn't like it
