ah, bingo, ended the process from task manager and now im restarting the patcher, i hope it wont freeze this time.

i havent tried out the forums yet btw

when i scan using the simpleconfig it doesnt do anything and freezes for some reason

The conanpatcher gives me the 'this intall of conan is already running, Age of conan only supports running multiple sessions from different installation folders' message

i would really love to get this sorted out tonight :I so any help will be really appreciated

should i uninstall everything and try starting from scratch or somethin?

i did -.- and now it wont even go to the patcher, after the install finishes it says 'Game Explorer registration failed at stage 3(HR=80004005)'

i started installation and finished downloading all the resources and all that, and came to the patcher, after a little while the patcher froze and i came back 2 hours later to find it in the exact same place.. so i canceled out of the patcher. then  when i go into my computer to get the AgeOfConanPatcher file and open it it says 'this install of age of conan is already running' and wont open.

what if i said please?  at lease maybe someone who has seen the class in pvp if ya havent played one

I am surprised that i haven't yet heard a review for barbarians on all the class threads.  I was planning on playing this class for my main and i'm slightly unnerved. Can anyone here give me the rundown on barbarians?

Funcom has made it near impossible to reach 500k-1Million players, but this means the game needs to be a quality product to do well.  Which means, I'll be playing it.

Even a guy at work said "I've got a 3 year old, I'm not going to play this in front of my children." and he plays Warcraft because its much less violent.  The community is going to be pretty bad in AOC, which is why i'll probably play an assassin and play alone.

 

I guess you havnt played either beta, with the children runnign around in game and on general chat.

The geographic area of the border kingdoms is NOT somewhat small, and there are VERY many structures to capture, not just the 7 huge battle keeps per server there are also many resource nodes, towers, and other buildings to capture.

And in LOTRO they made something called Monsterplay. You can make your own monster to fight others players in PvP. It's sounds great, but trust me it's not. Worst PvP I ever done in my life.

On your second comment, just because there aren't factions doesn't mean there isn't PvP. there is even huge guild vs guild battle keep sieges on all servers, not just PvP ones. on pvp servers you can basically attack any player anywhere excluding a few safe places.

Just thought of something else  >.< , how will mages be able to use long range spells if everything is AoE?

That sounds fun, so ALL magic will be AoE and cone?

I haven't yet seen a post on using magic here and i was wondering how they are working out how to aim magic? it it going to be a lock on thing and once you select the target it will go there on its own? I'm hoping it's something along those lines because if they make it too hard to aim, mages will get owned by all the other classes.

Please let me know if you have any links/info on this subject
