I'm glad that SciFi is getting some respect finally, with two big titles due out.  So far, all the others have been pretty lame, IMO.

I'm sure I will play them both, but it will be interesting to see which one is more fun!

hehe, this guys funny.  He's either totally joking or he REALLY needs to get out in the real world once in a while.  Maybe take a business class?  Does he honestly think that it's economically feasible to make thousands of worlds at launch?  And then hold it against the devs for not having that many?  Isn't a solid, fun game more important than spending endless hours wandering through a "barren" wasteland (or 500 of them)?

I'm totally excited about 20 worlds at launch.  Especially since they are all different with lots of challenges.  THANK YOU devs, for not making me spending valuable time trying to travel to the next place I need to be at.  Stargate IS really adaptable to a massive multiplayer world.

Now that they have a publisher, things will be moving along quickly.  I just hope they make their Q4 target

This game has so much going for it, with tons of content, a great storyline (so we are told), unique (and long needed) combat system, great AI, lots of puzzles and/or combat (depending on what you are into), etc.  I cannot wait for this one!!!

I still haven't subscribed to the forums at Stargateworlds.com but probably should as I will definitely buy this game when it comes out.

To actually ANSWER the question (which I'm happy to do):  It is sheduled to come out in November of 2008 in the US.  I"m not sure about the rest of the globe (I haven't been watching it that closely).  Ironically, you may want to check the official website for that.

Keep in mind that games tend to be pushed back often, so it could be later.  In fact the game has already been pushed back once that I know of (from August 08 to Nov 08).  Let's hope that it's out before Christmas!

Other than the main stuff  (story line, characters, races, etc) I wonder what other references to the series/movie there will be.

What I would love to see is little obscure references to a piece of an episode (a homage, if you will).  By that I mean, if you were exploring a jungle or city, and came across an artifact or sign or other item that is directly from some scene in any one of the many episodes.  You don't have to be able to pick it up or do anything with it, but major fans of the show would know where it's from.  Plus it would be A LOT of fun trying to find them all.  

Any ideas out there as to specific things the devs can place that only big fans would notice?

I'll take it!  A delay is fine if it makes the game better.  Glad to see I'll be playing this thing soon!!

Definitely a lot of updates lately, which is great.  But, there doesn't seem to be that many screenshots.  A lot of concept art, etc. but I'd love to see more in-game footage.  Even the trailer did not show any actual gameplay.

The screenshots we've seen so far look amazing!! I would love to see more.

(But that trailer ROCKED!)

Yeah, I also DVR'd it.  While I prefer the 1 minute version, I watch the DVR'd copy almost every day just so I can see it on a big screen with amazing sound.

This game looks truly amazing.  The trailer has such a great feel to it, great sound and a lot of action.  Can't wait!!

Think of how you would feel knowing that you were immortalized forever in a game that people loathe. The poster boy for a game that makes SWG look like a national treasure. Imagine being KOS in real life to all the dissapointed stargate nerds who were patiently awaiting their dream MMO and were delivered a steaming pile.............

Dumbest post ever.

Who wouldn't want to be "immortalized" in a video game?  And who would possibly care if it's a bad game or not?  Having bragging rights of being in a game is cool as heck.

Hey, looks like you got your wish!! The updates are coming fast now!!

I love the new screenshots!  The buidlings on fire look incredible.  I can't wait to see the story behind it all.  Can we save it and bring it back to life?

The new video (with the Art Director or something) is okay.  Nice to see the starting point, but would love to have more meat to it.  I was kind of short.

I've always felt that it is much better to push it back  if you need more time to make a better game.  But I don't like hearing that it's been ready to go.  I've waited for this game for a while as it seems like the best Pirate themed game out there.

I'll play this one as soon as it is released, and keep playing until Stargate Worlds comes out.  Between these two, I think they're the best ones coming out (IMHO of course!).

I for one am looking forward to the game.  I don't really pay attention to what others are saying.  They haven't played the game, what do they know?  They're just basing their opinions on what they've read or heard from others - and since we all have different ideas of what a fun game is, I'll judge for myself!

I'm playing WOW now, but it's time for something else.  I think I'll wait until Aion comes out and start playing it instead.  I'll look forward to seeing you all online!!
