WE WANT BUG FIXES AND SMOOTH GAMEPLAY FIRST

I find this post pretty funny, considering that the latest patch consisted mainly of bug fixes and improvements..

And this is what you call bugfixing.

Btw, this is the direct link to the patchnotes.

What isp do you use? There are a few that are blocking eve.

NO sir the nerf was canceled after players feedback

Please don't spread misinformation.
The speed changes are on Multiplicity currently, because Sisi is being used for testing the next patch. After that patch is deployed, the speed changes will probably be put on Sisi again, as they are scheduled for the patch after that.

By the way, stop calling everything a nerf. It's a boost for everything that does not involve putting a lot of speedmods on oversized ships to reach invincibility.

This is what you call "bugfixing".

Pretty neat what they managed to fix. A lot of my bugreports are now flagged as "fixed in emp age 1.1"

We've received no explanation from Eve as far as what will or won't happen.

Yes we did. There have been numerous posts and statements by ccp on why they won't add a /dance emote, why there will be no jumping, and no pvp in ambulation. It's a socializing tool, not ground combat.

To deal with the jumping & dancing dorks CCP could have npc security forces (or even voluntary player ones maybe like the ISO's in chat) onboard the stations that arrest people for moronic behaviour and force them to leave the station for a set period of time.

There will neither be a /dance emote, nor jumping, in ambulation.
It's "ambulation", not "counter strike in space" ;)

Usefulness is not tied to sp. It's a state of mind.

In a pvp corp/alliance, a motivated newbie is much more useful than a "vet" who knows everything better.

Isn't that "commodity"?

That was a change with an expansion long ago..i think it was revelations, 1 1/2 years ago.
All new characters start with ~800k sp.

Well, if that's all they got, yes.

#1 and 2 in the newcomer mustread:

* You are not safe in 1.0 security space. CONCORD is there to punish, not to protect. Get used to the idea.

* In most cases, the only way to be 100% safe from agression inside the game is to be docked in a station. Being cloaked in a secret safespot could work too.

I advise reading all of them. Even many vets forget most of those points, but they should know better.

Funny, this is totally the response i expected of someone who posted a picture of a small sized capfleet to show off. The elitism is strong with you..don't let it backfire..

To the op, often it greatly depends on which question you ask where and when. If someone asks me something about the game while i am commanding a fleet or have to organize subsquads, you will most likely get a one liner that reads like a friendly "rtfm". (Or less friendly if i am really stressed)
Furthermore, there are questions you just don't ask. Things that are covered in the tutorial for example, metaquestions and questions that can be answered just by reading the stickies on the Q&A section on the eve website. Most people find it downright rude if they are asked questions like "how do i shoot things". The old "how do i increase my powergrid/cpu"-question has been asked so many times, that it is one of the first things covered in guides.
Having said that, specific questions that you can't really know from reading are usually answered, and often quite lengthy. The people who asked me about tactics and fittings of logistic ships in battle probably still suffer from information overload..

Of course, you will also meet a lot of the pseudo-elite pilots like cosy or other self proclaimed elite corporations and alliances. But usually their actual gaming skill is reverse proportional to the eliteness they claim. A barking dog doesn't bite, watch out for those that stay quiet.

Ccp, by far. Mostly because of their sense of humour and interaction with the player base, something that i have never seen from any other company out there.

For WoW to die you need
a) a stake
b) an exorcist
c) someone who tells it that it died. It won't notice otherwise.
and finally d) someone who actually believes that it's dead.

In all seriousness, WoW is like frankensteins mmo. You won't kill it that easily.

What people should ask themselves: Does it have to? Does it matter?

War looks primising. It can be a very good mmo, better than wow, and probably be a success. And that's all that matters.

Would you want your game constantly being judged every second of the day cause someone posts something they do or don't like?

I do understand ndas, but i prefer the humorous aproach ;)

There are enough reports of people coming back after years with their characters intact. Doubt they'd ever do it and delete accounts, they would cut off a huge potential subscriber base.

But, according to their Tos, they reserve the right to delete the stuff after 6 months. They probably want to be safe in case they have to do it.

Nonetheless, they have never deleted characters, and probably won't do it in the future.
