I still think DAoC is the best game out there.. But yeah, its the people you play with that shape your experience - and running around all alone without friends is not why most of us play games online.. So i agree, its about finding some new friends. Don't be afraid to start playing a game by yourself - get out there, meet people! Its fun!

You ever looked into Helgate: London ?? I think it might contain some of the qualities you want..

Other than that I could perhaps suggest the old Baldur's Gate series... Ever tried those? You dont play online, but they were pretty good back in the day.. Lots of items, loads of storytelling, etc..

Classic servers just lack the content of the Trial of Atlantis expansion, thats it. The graphics are just the same, the game is just the same - except for the content from the Trials of Atlantis expansion... Many people felt that ToA screwed up the game - thats why the servers were made..

-And the american classic servers is the best choice! Especially the Lamorak server, since house lots are cheaper on this server, than on Gareth...

Du skal bare downloade spillet til amerikanske servers, og ikke til EU-servers! Det er den eneste forskel! Der er masser af danskere, der spiller på de amerikanske servere..

Although the population has been declining, its still alive and kicking! On the american classic servers there are just as many people as 2 years ago.. In the weekends you often find 2400 people online at peaks... More than enough alb brains to bash in!

Man, we're talking about a GAME! People play games to have fun! Not to be ganked and killed the minute they come online! Why can't you people accept that simple fact, without having to resort to calling them "carebears"?

You have to remember one thing: Youre on the Darkfall forum! If you dont like people bashing wow - go to teh wow forum... not that hard really

not all that much into radeon gfx cards... But one thing i can tell ya: if you are getting windows vista and want to game in the future, you'd better do 4 gigs of ram

Other than that i think its rather ok specs... how many rpm does the harddrive pull? Try getting 7200... lots of labtops still go with 5400 rpm harddrives, and thats just not good enough anymore. Not for gaming at least....and again, its just MY opinion..

Yep, he is right! American classic servers should be your choice! Most populated and lots of action!

-And don't mind the grind - they've made it a lot easier to reach lvl 50

Catacombs expansion and everything from earlier are all free downloads, so dont bother buying the client!

You'd need to play on the american classic servers, since they have the most population! Its still good fun! Lots of people as well! Not many zergs, but lots of 8man groups running around

I was just wondering... You say that you love pvp, and that you arewaiting for AoC, WAR, etc.. Did you ever try Dark Age of Camelot?? In that game you build your character up over a long time, gaining ranks etc....

If you want to try, I recommend playing on the american classic servers! Thats the best place regarding population! Lots of action! :)

Well if youre into big axes, then DAoC is in my opinion the only game  

Nothing beats cracking an albion casters skull with a big, crude, dirty, heavy mallet!

You will always get troll answering these posts, telling you the game is dead, it sucks, elitist community etc. Nevertheless I still find DAoC the best game out there. If I was into point and click as well as space, I'd say Eve Online. -But I like big axes! And they don't go hand in hand with space ships nowadays!

My advice to you is to start up on the american classic servers - or the newly reborn kilibury cluster! Thats the only 2 places left where you will be certain to get some action. But those two clusters still rock!
