I'm betting it will work similarly to how it worked in DAoC. You can dye the main color of your armor. Pretty much every piece. You'll get the best colors in dungeons and special quests. There may be a vendor, but they won't sell all of the colors. Black is surely going to be one of the most expensive, it always is. There probably won't be any weapon dye, though maybe a slight tint may be possible, I don't know.
What would be cool is if you could color different parts of the armor. The better the armor, more tintable sections in it. So, for instance, you could color the main tunic part, the shoulders, the trim, the emblems and symbols(unless tied to lore), and stuff like that. Not just the entire piece, but separate parts of it. In the end, there will be people who make clown suits, but they would try that no matter what. Though, you could get some really cool looking armor. I doubt Mythic has even looked into it. That's just my two cents.
Though, I imagine with the trophy systems and guild cloaks, tunics, shields... etc, there will be enough to differentiate between everyone.
We'll just have to wait and see. |

The OP shouldn't have needed to ask this question in the first place. It takes a little common sense to think that a 3-month game card will probably be priced by taking the single month sub fee and multiplying it by 3. It's called research, I'm being harsh, but the OP could have easily looked at WoW's game cards for an example. |

You know, two guys will meet up as warring factions and say things to each other until they figure out how to say things like.. "me hab big peen" or "U Lose" or "I Pwn U".. just like they did in WoW.
I was actually thinking about this exact topic yesterday, since I haven't seen anyone mention it yet. Kind of funny how that works out. |

Wow.. not, I don't mean the game.
I mean, wow. Look at all the people who are pissing and moaning about a dollar or two for what we hope will be a good MMO. I make a whopping 9 bucks an hour in a warehouse. Paying 20 bucks a month, while I'd rather pay 15, wouldn't be hard at all for me. I mean, clearing just over 1100 a month.. with all of my bills, 20 dollars is so easy to come up with, it's amazing..
I bet it will be 15.99-17.99 if there is a price increase. Is it really that hard? If you don't want to play, don't. What happens if AoC is at least 15.99? Will you not play any MMO? Will you go back to WoW? Are you guys really having a hissy fit over a total of 12-24 dollars a year? Like another poster said. I could go take a crap at work and make 3 bucks. Just get over it, prices for everything eventually go up. Do you really expect an MMO to be excluded? I remember, and I'm only 24, when gas was $1.00 a gallon. Where are we now? You can cry about it, but 3 months from now you will be buying the game and paying the fee. Don't believe me, but I know the stupidity of people. You will give in to the herd mentality and moo yourself into a couple more dollars a month. Yes, I'm calling myself a cow, at least I'm not in denial.
EA Mythic has already done a lot of things to warrant a price increase. They've been the most communicative MMO company to date with it's fans. Monthly videos, screenshots, video blogs, newsletters, art, concepts, etc. This is roughly 3-4 months before release and we know almost everything about the game. Mythic can give meaning to PvP. What is the last game that you've played where you were actually proud, where you would defend your lands.. not for gear, but for pride. The last I remember was DAoC. Yeah, that was Mythic too. The most in depth guild system in a high fantasy game to date. The most unique character classes in any MMO to date, 24 completely different classes. And room to add on with all of the lore available in expansions. Public Quests. Exploration Quests. A Proven siege mechanic that no other game has been able to accomplish successfully. Do I really have to go on?
If you don't see it that way. Then don't play, don't pay, I won't miss you. Some little kid parents will shell out the money and I'll just kill him instead of the whiners. I mean seriously, what is that.. three packs of cigarettes. Good thing I don't smoke. You can't even buy an 8th of pot for that.. please. |

Notice the highlighted in red section. 'Will be' and 'Will possibly be' are completely different. Like I said, it is nothing more than conjecture from a fan site. I will concede that there is a possibility that the price will be a dollar higher than other MMO's. EA wouldn't be the first to raise prices and they definitely won't be the last. |

I highly doubt they would go over their own estimated price range for the MMO market.
And even if they did, I don't have a problem paying it if it is a good game. If you have a problem, don't play it. I certainly won't miss you. |

Now this statement is official. It should be the only one that you are concerned about. If indeed the price for WAR is 15.99 or 16.99, will you not buy it because you'll be missing a dollar or two a month? I certainly don't care if it's 24.99, as long as it is a good game and keep me entertained for prolong periods of time. |

I couldn't stand it anymore after for the third time, alliance came in and killed thrall. No one showed up, no one cared, there was no retaliation. There was nothing to gain, so no one bothered to defend or attack. They were too busy gaining rep or in an instance for gear. |

Maybe you just have different tastes.
As for Altdorf, it's supposed to be pretty. The Inevitable City is supposed to be chaotic and dark. What did you expect? Wait for the finished product and then judge. That's the same as saying the graohics suck after watching alpha footage. |

EA Mythic are obviously making sure the game is as close to finished as possible. How is this a bad thing? You have no idea how finished the game was while watching that video, do you? No.. you don't. If it comes out looking like crap, people won't play it. Until then, don't pretend that you have any idea about how WAR even plays.
Here's some of your own medicine. Oh Noes! You're so awesome at PvP!! You totally pwned that boss mob!!! Oh wait.. yeah.. |

Nowhere in any of the FAQ's, video blogs, podcasts or dev videos have they mentioned anything involving 24vs24. You get the number 24 from the maximum allowable battlegroup size, which I believe is made up of four, six man parties. In recent dev videos they have talked about having "hundreds" of players in a city siege area at a time, and successfully pulling it off. They never mentioned anything about a max of 24 people. That wouldn't make any sense at all, how would you control who took that part of the city over if there were 50 instances with varied results? There have been no mention of anything that you've said..
Now, you might be confusing this with an instanced battleground. They will have player capped BG's.. but I'm almost 100% positive that city sieges play out completely different. There are several 'zones' inside the city that can spread players apart.. but no capped limit.
Where do people get this stuff?
Not only that.. but if WoW can pull off 40v40 in close proximity and have little lag with a HORRIBLE net-code.. I have no doubt that with a decent chunk of RAM, that you could be in larger than 50v50 battles without much performance drop in WAR. |
