Yes, there's a server dedicated for PvP. Crafted items are generally the best as well, provided you take the time to learn the crafting system, raise the proper skills, and then build what you want. Their forums will tell you which server is PvP and such, as well as give you some crafting tips. I also highly recommend you join a guild once you reach between 5 and 10, so you can get more advice and tips from experienced players. Rubies of Eventide is technically a shareware game now. You can play it for free as long as you want, but those who pay a fee get to skip the queues that are frequent as well as some magic items, including a ring to take you to an island where you can buy cheap crafting supplies. EVERY type of crafting material is there too.

Umm every other major MMO (EQ, EQ2, SWG [pre-nge], DAoC) has them, and there's no issues. Those who harrass them get ignored. They start causing serious issues, and the GMs step in with the ban stick. Blizzard knows that there's so many kids playing (which is stupid as the EULA says 18+ only) who have bible thumping parents that would be like "OMG A HOMOSEXUAL/TRANSEXUAL GUILD?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?! I'M SUING BLIZZARD!". But the thing is, they'd lose, as it's Blizzard's property and they could make it nothing but pure sex and violence, and if the parents allow their kids to play, well, then it's their fault. |

From what I read on their forums, they still add content on a fairly regular basis. |

Umm, actually, it's their game, their property (intellectual, as well as the server hardware and software). They ALLOW people to play their game by THEIR rules. If you don't like it, don't play or pay them. I'm all for gay friendly guilds, as I have several relatives who are gay, but in all honesty, there's pretty much nothing that can be done. Since it IS their game, they can choose to do what they want. Honestly though, if they spent more time censoring or banning the damn kids who run around and scream "gay" "ghey" "fag" "Faggot" "butt pirate" etc. and less time shooting down gay-friendly guilds, well, it'd be a friendlier place. But then again, if they started banning people who said that, or even censoring it, well, the kiddies wouldn't play anymore, and Blizzard would lose like 50% of it's accounts. |

Hmm, well, Eve Online might be your best bet then if you don't like fantasy. If you'll try fantasy, give Rubies of Eventide a try, as they have a pretty open crafting system like SWG. Other than that you're kind of stuck. |

Yea. DE women looked like they had grapefruits for breasts. Kinda silly if you ask me. And don't get me started on both sexes wearing nothing but thongs, and having to run up the seemingly endless staircase at the beginning either :P |

Umm, I got a few suggestions, but most I'm sure you won't like: Everquest There's 1 other I know, but it's a mod of an existing game, so I can't mention it on the boards. Feel free to PM me however if those others don't pan out, and I'll dig deeper into my bag of tricks. |

Most game companies heavily moderate their boards for things they don't want discussed; be it bad gameplay, crappy GMs, or whatever. It's THEIR property, not federal/state/local property that's public, so NO game company owes you the right to free speach. EVERY EULA clearly says they can terminate your account for ANY REASON at ANY TIME. PE isn't the only game that bans accounts for putting someone up in a forum that they didn't like. Blizzard has banned people for that, and so has SOE. It's hardly suprising. No hellos and goodbyes is a bit weird, but hey, it's their boards, they'll run them how they want. |

For the love of god! Stop begging and double posting. No, I won't help because of the fact that using a KSSN other than your own is illegal, and NO ONE here will help you with that. |

Well... (dons flame-proof suit) You could try Knight Online. There are sieges once or twice a week for control of the neutral island, and the controller sets the tax rate. Also sets the tax rate to enter the open PvP area, where you get items to turn in for random rare items. Also, there's a level helping system, where people get rewarded for powerleveling newbies up to level 30. Then to reach 40 is pretty quick, once you reach 45 it slows down a lot. Once you reach 50 is grinds to a near halt. But still, it's face paced and fun, while at the same time having all that you wanted. Also, once per week, there's a massive PvP battle on a battlefield that allows only 100 (or 200?) people on either side (orc/human) to battle it out. The side that wins gets to use the other side's teleportation gates and basically tear up the home city of the enemy. |

MMM, well, there's several, but the names elude me at the moment. One of the best series of books for programming is the "teach yourself ______ in 30 days". There's C and C++, also I think they have a C# now, and a few others. |

No no no. It's not a crappy EQ clone...it's a nicely polished EQ piece of crap ;) If Blizzard made it, you at least know it'll be polished ;) |

So? What's the issue with a stargate MMO? I think it lends itself nicely to the genre. Modern times technology in the middle, high technology on one end (ancients/atlanteans), low-end technology on the other (system lords/Goa'uld). PvP being heavy for control of planets, what's not to like? Lets hope the gameplay is good. As for the second part of your statement, they aren't even beginning to touch every major franchise out there. Look at it this way, one of the most popular RPGs ever still doesn't have an MMO, and it would lend itself to the genre quite well. I speak of Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross. Time travelling, high technology, stone age technology, everything inbetween, double combos with teammates, triple combos, etc. Lots of material there. Get to it SquareEnix! |

I've gone through pretty much every game in the free list at the top to review on my site. Does anyone know of any others that aren't listed up there yet? Besides Silkroad. |
