Well, if you learned how to read, you'd see on their site that it opens on the 24th :P

Umm go to your local Walgreens or CVS, or even your bank, and get a pre-paid credit card.

Completely untrue. He could put a big ass sign on a building across the street from SOE's headquarters saying he's RUNNING a private server, and they can't do crap, if he's not making money from it.

Do you mean like the series .hack//sign because yes, if it was that immersive, I'd somehow find the way to get all that just for that game :D

No. It means for every 5 days you're logged in, you get another entry. Basically, log in once a day during the contest, and for every fifth day, you'll get another entry.

Well, I've had the same dillema as you. Combat's all well and good, but I always feel the yearning for crafting. Rubies of Eventide has a pretty good crafting system, but unless you get to know the right people, chances are you're stuck with the crummy community full of kids.

I'm picking up Graal tommorrow. From what I've read, and what one of my friends who's playing now have said, the crafting system is nice, the harvesting system is pretty unique, and all in all, is a solid game, even if it is 2d (with a 3d illusion effect). It's pretty cheap too, which gives it an edge over other games.

Well, Rubies of Eventide is about your only hope then. Or, if you can pay 1 time fees, Graal wouldn't be bad. Tibia also has some crafting, but most of the good stuff is lucked away behind a monthly fee.

If you actually READ the promo, you'd see the keys aren't being given out till the 13th. Christ people, learn to read the whole thing!

Nope. I'm just a hardcore gamer :P

Also, when I read the post, I took the time to research it so I knew what I was talking about. God knows I hate when people talk out their ass about something, when they don't know anything about it.

Besides, the op just copy cut and pasted everything from the Graal Website. With all the naysayers, I figured I may as well share some of the info I found out about it as well.

I was under the impression EQ2 didn't have time cards?

If worst comes to worst, check with your bank, or a nearby chain store (like Walgreens or something) for a Prepaid credit card. That'll do the trick for you :)

Graal Kingdoms seems interesting, even if there are some immature guilds abound. From poking around on the website, I found that for a one time fee of $29US, you get unlimited access to Graal classic, and a complimentary 6 month gold subscription to Graal Kingdoms and Graal Bomy Moon. After that, it's mere $3US/month for a gold subscription. A pretty cheap price by any standards. Remember, monthly fees, even ones as low as that, help keep most of the riff-raff out. That being said, I myself will be picking up this game on an even better plan they are offering :D ($44 for graal classic, 12 months of gold access, and 12 months of VIP access).

Eh, kind of crappy if you ask me. See, magic is "all powerful" usually for a few reasons. For starters, magic users start off sucking hind teat in the leveling and strength department. It's usually not till around half way to the level cap that magic users start getting strong. Doubt me? Go and check D+D, and follow that through with EVERY RPG and MMORPG out there. Secondly, people can get armor to protect from regular hits from regular weapons (non-magical). Thus, by infusing magic into a weapon (usually in the form of an element), you increase the damage dealt. Finally, magic tends to be the ties that bind; that is something everything touches and uses in some form. Those who can manipulate it into the most destructive forms SHOULD rule. Ever notice that in most stories that have magic in them, that the "evil ruler" tends to be either a dragon (magical being), or some sort of sorcerer/wizard/warlock wielding incredible forms of magic? There's no secret as to why.

Well, first off, I'd recommend keeping snack type food on you at all times and nibbling every hour or so. While this will keep your metabolism going at a high rate, at least you shouldn't be hungry. Second, do something to take your mind off the nicotine. Maybe some sports, or something. Lastly, if those two steps fail, come clean, and get some medical help, as your health is much more important than whatever your family would say or do in the short term.

Well, Shadowbane has a lot of that stuff, but not all. However, their execution of it sucks :(

If they could make a shadowbane 2, fix all the damn bugs in this version, and add some more content, it'd be me game of choice ::::20::

So, if you have a DDO beta test account that you want to get rid of...PM me and I'll accept it...
And now I hold my breath waiting for ALL those disgruntled beta'ers to send me their accounts...NOT!

Stress Test :P

Besides, people will still pay cash for beta accounts on ebay like the suckers they are.

Nope. It's supposed to be like other MMOs, except it adheres pretty strictly (though some things aren't exactly like) the pen and paper version. It makes for a game that removes the turns, but plays like it has them, while at the same time being stuck in a pre-defined world. Yea! Just what Gary Gygax imagined when he created D+D!

I participated in the stress test, and let me just say...the game is quite awful. It'd be an alright game if they planned on using the guild wars model (Buy the box, no fees), but there's just no way in hell I could justify paying for this game.

For starters, the control scheme feels like it was set up for someone who's hopped up on speed, acid, and shrooms. The keys aren't where you expect them to be, and to top it off, the movement was unresponsive. Next, the graphics themselves. Not bad, but certainly not up to EQ2 or even WoW, which is pretty sad to say. Lastly, gameplay. The leveling is even MORE of a grindfest from LEVEL 1 than Lineage 2 EVER gets (official servers, not private). Top that off with the fact that it's so uninspired, you're better off playing the pen and paper version, than the MMO version. At least you'll only have to pay $100 or so and you'll be able to play forever with whomever you choose :P
