As in most game english is the main language used. There are some russians and french guys who cant (or wont) speak english but most ppl do even on the european servers.

Actually is ome way EVE is not that different from fantasy games....but still its it opposite.

But u can see ur ship as ur avatar. U can choose to be tank....rogue...nuker...healer (just as in fantasy games). U can upgrade hull...shields ...weapons (as i all fantasy games).

Ive played most fantasy games there is and every time I log EVE I can discover things that reminds me oft the traditional fantasy games.

But sure...there will never be elfs and dwarves...and thanks god for that! Sooooo keep away from the game for the sci-fi lovers......u have a way greaternumber of games to choose from..=)

Well...if u have some imagination there is pretty much to do in EVE. Due to the possability to train whatever skill u whant it also means its possible to do whatever u whant.

And most important....EVE is a VERY social-oriented game. Mening a good corporation is the key to have fun ingame.

Hope u gonna love the game....give it some times...gets more and more fun!

Hehe all is talking about if they have a long or short skill in training. What if...yes what if the training stopped for everyone during the DT....wouldnt it just be great..haha!

So far I think Vanguard is a real good game and very underestimated. So far I also think its pretty much similair to EQ2. but maybe that will change when I start diplomacy and crafting.

I figured I start easy till I figure the game out and get more experience.....so I made an Orc Warrior.

Hello fellow gamers!

After trying almost all of the "top-ranked" mmorpgs out there I have now finally come to Vanguard. At this very moment Im on the way with the digital download, another 9 hours to go.

The games I prefered most so far is the classic Anarchy Online and Lineage II. But now Im tired of them for different reasons and I hope Vanguard will be the game for me.

What I whant with this post is to get some good advice for a newcommer. As I said I have long experience from mmorpg but not from Vanguard. I will list some questions that I would really appreciate if u wanna answer:

1. Is there a class in Vanguard who is outstanding from all others (most game have these classes, use to be nukers and archers).

2. What would be a good class for me? I like melee and I love dps. But at same time I wanna be able to take some beating. Also good for solo would be nice.

3. How is the economy? Can you farm money for that great armor set or weapon without spending a year ingame? How is the loot, does it drop much usefull stuff like gear?

4. Is there a clan-system in Vanguard? I figured there is 3 different "alliances", but are there also clans?

5. What do u think makes Vanguard unique from other mmorpg´s?

6. Last....is it possible to solo this game till top lvl? Is it easy to find ppl to party with? Population in game?

Ok, I dont seem to be able to let this post go. I think its a great thing that we started this discussion, and then all have to choose what they think about the issues the game has.

But I think most of u guys forgot 1 big thing. U say u can eran money from "playing the market", "sell SS & sps for overprice" and do SA quest and sell the crystals. Well, there is one problem. If there wasnt any ppl ebaying I can assure u there would be no market to play. If there was no ebayers prolly most ppl would grind without SS and sps. And if there wasnt any ebayers u would have a very hard time selling your SA:s.

This is kinda funny. All the ideas u ppl have about how to make money is all addicted to the exsitence of ebayers (and ebayer money comes from bots).

Sooo, now we have a problem. I can assure you that a clean SoulBow wouldnt cost 90 millions if there wasnt ebayers or bots. Sooo once again, there we have the problem. This combined with tha lack of good rewards from quests. The adena.sellers has inflated the market so much. But at same time u cant live without them caue then there was no way u could earn money "legit". No money buying=no one will buy your overoriced stuff.

Think about this. Its kinda strange. But I guess u will have to accept it if u wanna play the game. Cause there seems to be "no way" for the company to stop it.

I was hoping on a mature constructive conversation (as ppl most often have in democracy), but that failed because some ppl are so brainwashed that they cant see thing from an other view but their own.

Either its true fans answering this thread or maybe it even is the company PR-section that wanna spread positive propaganda.

Nej, det e inte lätt att få tag på spelet i en "låda", smidigast e att ladda hem det. Du laddar hem spelet gratis från tex fileplanet och sen e allt du behöver göra köpa en "nyckel" via NCsoft (kostar typ 120-250 kronor).
Ett annat allternativ e att beställa det. Jag kan rekomendera www.webhallen.com mycket bra leverantör av spel o andra prylar.

Det har hänt en del sedan denna posten skrevs. Vi upptäckte ganska snabbt att det var svårt att bara rekrytera svenskar till klanen, så vi har tyvärr varit tvugna att överge den idén. Men basen i klanen e svensk.
Vi är dock fortfarande en väldigt liten klan. Men så fort vi e tillräckligt många members med "rätt" lvl så ska vi lvla upp klanen till 5 (vi e lvl 3 nu).

Du är dock hjärtligt välkommen att ansluta dih till oss! Det hade varit jätte skoj.

Skriv till någon av följande ingame: Hubris, Silestra, Mordovina eller Lostone.

Hejsan alla svenskar och alla som kan tala och förstå svenska!


För några veckor sedan skapades den första helsvenska klanen (såvitt jag vet) på Franz. Rekryteringen har gått lite trögt då vi endast söker svenskar (svensktalande personer). Klanen är för närvarande lvl 3 men vi hoppas att snabbt kunna göra den till lvl 5 så vi får en akademi.
Men för att detta skall gå så måste vi ha fler medlemmar, det är därför jag skriver denna post nu.
Vi rekryterar för tillfället alla levlar och alla klasser.
