So many people assume things on these forums, how or why I'll never know? I know the difference between the forthcoming update and the new expansion because I READ!!

I swear you guys sit around reading posts just waiting for a chance to insert your rude comments.

Relax be nice. If you like the new expansion or the free guild houses in the update then say so. If you disagree with me you can say that also but don't be rude because I have an opinion.

It always amazes me how rude the online gaming community often is towards one another. 

One simply has to read the new expansion overview released by SOE to know that Velious is not part of it. I am sure that if it were a major continent like Velious with major dungeons such as Kael SOE would have most likely named the expansion after it (hence "The Ruins of Kunark") or at the very least mentioned it. 

People, every time someone voices their opinion do not jump and make rude comments just because you disagree. 

By the way, there are about 12 people on my vent server who agrees with me 100% and I am sure there are many who disagrees.

I along with many in my guild was hoping and praying the new expansion would have been Velious and if we were really lucky the Beastlord class. There is nothing in the new expansion that will make me or my fellow guildmates to return to EQ2.  Perhaps it is time for EQ3.

I am going to try it but you may be correct. It's a shame as the vast majority of gammers I know feel as I do. Warhammer looks like it is going to be full of youth pvp players.  Alas, the need for a good MMO

I bet the devs and EA want all MMO lovers to come to WAR.

My wife and I are very excited about WAR, but after watching a few videos and reading a few reviews we are extremely disappointed in the lame crafting system. There are many people who prefer crafting over fighting (and they still want to play WAR and I know EA wants their money) and others like myself who like it equal to fighting and exploring.

There are many ways to make a crafting system that doesn't flood the market with 100's of apprentice robes or crude short swords. You need to have a bit of a grind, rare material drops via harvesting and rare recipies via quests, and mob drops. Make each item take several compoents and the components can either be used to level up or for use in a major item.  I liked a lot of the elements of Vanguard's crafting system however the grind was far too slow. Also BOE will prevent market flooding.

Just as there is a grind needed for normal level advancement so is there needed somewhat of a grind, of some sort, for crafting. If there is no toil then breaking the ribbon at the finish line won't seen as glorious. I really hope they change or add to their crafting system. 

My wife and I just got the game this past weekend. She hates it. I think it has potential but I won't be playing because of the extremely low populations and the incredible amount of Gold spamming. I don't think I have ever seen so many gold spammers in an MMO in my life.  It seems SOE games have the highest gold spamming...makes me wonder. 

I've been looking for a good MMO since Vanguards fall and I have yet to find one.

I would love to see my favorite place in all MMOs put in. Velious. You can also add the beastlord too.

I loved both EQ1 & 2 and I think your idea could work with enough marketing. I have played every major MMO and I agree totally with the state of this hobby.  There is one thing that EQ2 lacks that will always be a huge thorn in its side and that is lack of realm vs. realm pvp. I AM NOT a big pvp fan but after playing DaoC and WoW for years I must admit there are a lot (and I mean 100s of thousands) of people who love pvp, especially realm vs. realm.

For my EQ2 wish list I want the continent of Velios back. The thing that still bothers me about eq2 the most is its small size compared to EQ1. If you look at places like Everfrost, and Enchanted lands really they are small continents. I have not played the new expansion but it is a good sign, although I must admit my entire guild (we still communicate often) was disappointed that the beastlord and Velious have still not been put back in.

I like most of your ideas and I hope that SOE would consider this thread although I am not holding my breath.
