Yep, same client, 2 different patch builds.   OB is behind CB, just like CB is behind the Alpha(in house) client.

I agree that is rediculous.   Then again, I never saw any sense in paying to be a beta tester, in the first place, and the OB is going to be over on the 11th(late night), anyhow.  

  If you can find DDR2  that runs at 800mhz instead of the 400mhz,  I think it would be better.    I noticed your mainboard choice can handle it and 4gigs is perfect for a 64bit OS.   I'd suggest a bit more power for your PSU, if only for a possible future SLI config.    

EDIT- If you can hold out 10-15 more days though, your going to be able to judge pc performance in AoC a lot better than at the moment.

 All the same,  anyone who doesn't like AoC for whatever reason has become labeled a 'Troll' and those who like the game in any way are 'Fanboys'.

 There used to be room for a middle ground but I guess those days are long gone and I expect it to be true, for every new MMO, from now on.

 I consider myself just a fan of AoC but I seem to have attained the title of 'Rabid Fanboy'.  Oh well, whatever.

Well what can you do, shrug.   The only thing that turned me off the stygian was the facial makeup.   Just proves the point that you shouldn't apply the war paint in any moving/sinking vehicles. lol

  The DX10 comparison shots will have to wait for launch but I like these well enough. 

 I have to say that this toon wins vs. your Stygian, in the looks category.  

No, there isn't an open free trial for the game other than buddy keys from pre-orders at launch.    The OB itself ends on the 11th.   I'm not saying stop looking around but it's all but over for the hand out beta keys, atm.

  Well I liked, the city's in SWG but I do agree that they did turn into a cluttered landscape. 

  In AoC, much like LoTRO's housing the player cities will be out of the way(instanced) and I hope that, if and when, the player housing comes in that it's setup the same way.  I'd like it to become a bit more than extra bank slots, more like SWG, a place to show off old gear.

Godager said he'd like to have it in.   It'll probably an xpac type thing at some point.

 It's always the next MMO to launch's fault for all life's problems and then, while we wait for the one after that, we can rehash all the wrong's the industry ever did to us, over and over again.  Yay, for us!

It will be interesting to see if that happens or not.   It's so close to release I think(real shaky on this opinion) as far as Funcom is concerned with the CB testers they may let some things slide. 

As for the game sites in general, no idea at all.

 As for chat, in private, grp or guild, talk about whatever you want. 

 In general or OOC, if someone bothers you, tell'em to go F*ck themselves.  This doesn't seem to be an issue.  It's M rated, afterall.

It's just they want the character names to feel authentic to the game's lore for RP'ing.  They'd also like as few OOC usages as possible on the RP servers.

  ...You know, say we're in hyboria talking about the Stanley Cup results(or whatever) in OOC.  It seems fine and it's in the right place. But, if we're on an RP server, our discusion is messin' with everyones else's game immersion.

 The regular servers probably don't have much of an issue for everyone getting on OOC and talking about sports, etc. 

  But again, just because there's a huge number of MMO players that aren't afraid of the words 'Yummy Big Joints', it doesn't mean others wouldn't be offended and start the 'pls ban %t' garbage. ../shrug

 Maybe, try looking at things like this; you were born, so your just as lucky as anyone else alive.   I mean you won out against all the rest of those billions of sperm, afterall.  ...Talk about your big ticket lotto luck there.

  That thread is just the opening discusion on the RP-ruleset,  as for the naming convention for the rest of the game it's been stated a few times since, atleast, last summer.  

 Sorry, I would have no idea where to start looking for it.  It's just something I've run into a few times over multiple sites, dev vids and internet radio interviews, since '06.   But, I'm certain there's a naming convention for the entire game and they plan to enforce it. 

 So pretty much what I stated earlier plus nothing vulgar, no drug references, etc.., fairly standard stuff.  But, what the player base from the community/combined beta's seem to be suggesting for the RP servers goes, as far as, what is stated in the first mod post and then some, for punishment of repeat offenders. 

..Nothing at all in RP that breaks the immersion factor or just doesn't belong to Hyboria..

 Gore and nudity are in but your should be able to turn them off by checking an option in settings, I think.
