Nvidia seems to be releasing a new driver every other week. Honestly try a few things like updating drivers before complaiing that Funcom is to blame.

Same sort of thing happened to me with LOTRO. They patched and then my performance went to hell. I blamed Turbine but then updated my drivers and everything worked fine again... on these new games, up to the minutue up to date drivers are becoming pretty important.

Especailly think this could be the case since many people are reporting an increase in framerate and performance among other things.

Tried rolling back the drivers etc but to no Avail I'm afraid, I guess I'm  should'nt really blame Funcom though, I know different Pc Configs throw up all sorts of issues, its just frustating is all .

I had at launch and then one of the early Patches cured them all and now they are back . Only seems for some people though ..

Yeah I was starting to think it was just me, strange thing is though everytime they fix a bug for one person they create another for someone else ! TBH I've not really seen this happen alot in the other big Mmo's I've played ....

1 thing i notice about players in the game. They seem to forget that there is a hide ability for them to use. I foud out that 1 of the only way to avoid your gankers are to flee while hiding before he engages you. You won't beleive the fun i had hiding waitimg for victims on white sand isle.

Ok been playing the game since launch and it has been steadily getting better and better and its easy to forgive bugs as long as you know they are being addressed.

Sadly after the latest Patch nearly half of the Bugs I had in Beta are back !

Cant log in with some of my characters

Crashes to desktop

Freezing

Icons dissapearing Frame rate issues etc etc

Sorry for the Rant and I'll go off to and try Log in for 10th time now " Sob"

Funcom please PLease get the patches right !

Nice to a some proffesional review instead of some of the amateur crap we have to read on these forum's.

I personally think you cant really review a Mmo at least until its been out a few months, and even then they are evoving all the time. But its nice to read a proffesional writers entusiastic early thoughts Age of Conan.

I've been in Beta for 4 months and still could'nt wait to get my retail copy !

While, I would love nothing better than to 'make up my own mind' but it seems that FunCom has deemed it unnessicary to hand out buddy keys on launch so people can do as such.

Mmmm I wonder if he was one of those that used the exploit . Apparently there was a repeatable quest bug and Funcom said they were gonna Ban all the Lvl 80's !

After reading all the horror stories Frozen accounts invalid retail codes and Zero customer sevice I am really quite Paranoid about entering my Retail Code  does anyone know if they have sorted all this out yet ?

I even read one guy said he would have to buy another Copy of the game because he used his code, they froze the account and when he tried to enter it again it was telling him the code was invalid or already used, not sure what do and because they are not answering emails and no phone support, I'm not sure if to take the risk or wait till it all settles down  I certainly cant afford another Copy of the game like this other poor guy had to do.

Guys I hope I'm not over reacting but they do seem to having huge problems and I really want to play.

Just a long shot but have you tried rolling back your Graphics Drivers to the older version ? I was having issues with the latest Nvidia Drivers and rolled back to the previous drivers and everything s been fine since.

 

But it could also be the opposite and you may need the latest drivers.

 

is your problem same as mine? but i did try both version though. nothing new >.<

No not the same as your problem but I kept getting just black screens and loads of flickering on the Menu screens, just tought it might help tho , real sorry to hear your having these probs too hope you get it sorted soon .

I'm so glad I managed to change it tp an 8800 GT Sonic the next day , now I'm getting a constant 60 fps in Conan ! Wooot.

Try and cancel the order and pay the litttle extra for an 8800 trust me you wont regret it !

Ps dont be fooled into getting a cheap 9600 either same problem I've been told .

WoW is a great game.  But at the same time... other games can be great too! what a shock!?!!

How is this possible you ask?  How can someone actually like more than one game?  It's just beyond the realm of human reasoning isn't it?  Yeah.  It is.  

You don't like AoC?  Good for you, your not a special snow flake.  Blizzard doesn't give a shit if you like AoC or not.  Hell they would be just as willing to spit in your eye and stomp on your feet as they would thank you for defending it.  They just don't care.

These forums disgust me these days.  Are all of you on these forums so fragile and scared of the possibility of realizing that your not really doing anything important.  And that hating on other games for the sake of hating isn't scoring you any social points, or making any other game seem better.

I'm going to AoC.  I need something new.  Then when wotlk comes out.... i'm going to play it!  Then when WAR comes out... I'm going to play that too!  And guess what?  I'll have THREE awesome games to enjoy! i can actually have fun in different worlds, without having to worry about my epeen deflating because i'm not devoting my life, my personality, and my opinion around one game.  You all can stand around WoW, having a grand old time trolling forums, and spitting at other games.  Me?  I'm going to be having fun gaming.

I just bought a 8600 gt card with a Gig of memory, did you try the game with Shader 3 coz I'm not getting very good Fps and I have it set on low, are you getting a constant 50 fps on medium with shader 2 ? I feel a little pissed with my self and that I should have got the 8800 card instead ,but I stupidly listened to the guy in the shop and took the cheaper option.
