Ok I installed Station Launcher. I selected the folder where EQII was being installed. Now it shows a picture of EQII with Trial on top of it. It's down to 5 hours now. Lot better than the 18 hours but is it still the same thing the original patcher was working on? Because I could remember it saying Play the Fae or something like that. |

I did some researching on the 'buy to download' part suggested by Nadia but Station.com isn't really giving me a break. What I figured out was that I can buy an subscription for a month to Rise of Kunark. I also started a post about the trial taking 16 hours to download and the answer was it's the full game. So am I right if I say that once it's done patching I have ALL the software and if I buy the subscription from Station.com I'm all set to go to play EQII with ALL the expansions? (Meaning I'll save like $30 on not buying the software but downloading it?) |

Yes it's indeed the Play the Fae trial. Then I'm pretty much scr.wed there. I was hoping to be able to play the game this evening since I've been looking forward to it all day |

I searched everything but the names I listed in the first message is all I can get my hands on I guess Europe is just slow, same goes for music and movies for that matter. But come on it's been October since it's release right? The shops should've been full of those boxes! EDIT: Nadia I just read your reply. That's a wonderfull idea! But it's risky too. What if something goes wrong with the download or my HD crashes? My money will be gone then. Does anyone have experience with paying for a download? |

I know this is my second post but I'm really starting to get into this game so please bare with me. I'm working on the trial for 5 hours now. I got it from their site but the timer still says that it needs 16 hours (!!!!!) to complete the patch. And it has been watching ever since I download the 80 MB in like 10 minutes. I'm using a cable connection with maximum of 200 kb/s download speed. So could anyone tell me what the hell is going on? And yes hours, I thought 16 minutes in the beginning but I checked again after 2 hours and it didn't change. So I'm here asking for guidance from you fellow MMO players once more. What went wrong or is it normal for the trial to patch for 16 hours? |

I'm very disappointed but I checked every website of the 'gamingshops' here in Holland/The Netherlands but none of them seem to sell Rise of Kunark |

I tried with Firefox and Internet Explorer but neither of them can display the link you just gave me. The bars are displayed, but the actual content stays black. Also, what would I be paying for it? |

I'm currently patching the trial version from the EQII website. But I'm waiting for AoC to come out so I need an in between MMORPG for 2 months (maybe more). I think I'll buy EQII since I really liked what I read about it and the material on youtube. I checked my retail and they have 4 or more different boxes for sale. So my question to you all is: the download from the trial is it the full game and can I upgrade by simply paying the fee? Or do I need to buy a box from retail? These are the boxes I found (I added the price so you could make a better estimate: Everquest II - €15 / $10 Please help me out and thanks in advance! |

I've just paid for another month of playtime but after 3 hours of playing I'm already tired of it. I'm gonna keep on playing because my money is gone already but now I'm 100% certain I will not ever play this game again after the month is over. I'll just wait for Age of Conan. And like stated before: I love the game, the graphics and everything around it, but it just didn't 'click' like WoW did for me when I first started playing it in 2006. |

I just tried the game but I have to say I didn't like it. I played Maple Story for 2 years so I'm used to 2D games but this games drawing style just doesn't do it for me. But hey this is just my opinion and I have to admit I'm kind off burned out on the current MMO's (waiting for AoC). |

I would have to say NO. I played Maple Story Global since 2005 on and off and I've recently decided to never play the game again. I'm already looking back and thinking: What the hell was wrong with me? So much time lost on a game that's not worth it. I agree with the previous posters: it's an addictive game but in the end it's a waste of time. Time you could've used in real life or on a better game. |

First of all I'd like to state that I have played Maple Story since 2005 so I know the game through and through. Up until a couple of months ago I had always found ways to get NX (ingame Cash Shop currency) without spending real money. But security sharpened, the trustworthy sellers were replaced with scammers and in the end there was no way of getting NX without spending real cash on it. I had started a new part time job in October 2007 so I had some more cash than usual so I didn't mind spending $10 on the game to get a VIP Plastic Surgery Coupon. Nothing special about it right? But heres the problem: buying NX is addictive! Once you start you keep spending money, especially because it's done within minutes with just a few clicks on the website, and before I knew it I had spend over $400 within 3 weeks on NX for multiple characters! I felt the pain in my wallet and eventually I got nothing out of it because it's just some pixels on a screen that you pay for. So what I'm trying to say is: do NOT start spending money on NX in this game. ESPECIALLY if you have easy acces to money (you could be spending on paying the rent or groceries). It's addictive and you will keep spending more and more. I'm not saying everyone will but they designed the Cash Shop for a reason: to get players money even tho' it's a free MMORPG. So certain players, like me for example, will fall for it and spend idiotic amounts of money on it. How it all ended you say? I had spent all my money I had at that time on the game and felt broken, robbed even. I woke up from some sort of coma and decided to stop playing. |

Like many other players I signed up for the Beta a couple of days ago. Put 30+ hours in there (true, but also to show I'm gonna really test it). I only checked General since I'm interested in the gameplay and not the Techical aspects of the game. I just checked Youtube and saw a video of a Beta tester already. So I'm kinda wondering. Did I get passed? This is the first Beta I've signed up for so I'm kinda new in all this. So here are some questions I hope you guys can answer: 1. What selection criteria do they use to pick Beta testers? Is it random? Or do they only want people who are willing to test both aspects of the game? 2. I'm from Europe: am I wanted in the Beta or do they prefer American players since the market is somewhat bigger there? 3. I uploaded the DXDiag.txt file but I have a question about it. Is it just so they can see what kind of computer you're running or also if you're running any illegaly downloaded software? (I have Dual Core 2200+, 8600GT Geforce and 2GB RAM so I could run it) 4. I played WoW for 2 years, LOTRO for a couple of months, but most of the MMORPG's on the list at the Beta signup I didn't even bother to play so I couldn't select much of them as Online Gaming History. Will this effect their choice? I'm sorry for the long post but I'm just really hyped like many others about this game (I need a new addiction after I burned out on WoW and LOTRO). And this glimps of hope they call they Beta would allow me to play it sooner than the 23th of May (soooo far away |

After reading your post I came to the conclusion you're a PVP person. But that's exactly what LOTRO is lacking: PVP. It's restricted to a certain area and has the feel of a BattleGround. But if you ignore the PVP part then LOTRO is the perfect game for you. The crafting is fun and can keep one busy for hours and hours. Also the community is mature and you rarely encounter annoying people like you meet in WoW on a daily basis. Conclusion: if you really need good PVP then skip this game. If you could do with some sloppy PVP then you should give LOTRO a try. |

I was amazed when reading this Thread! I thought something was wrong with ME! I bought LOTRO 6 weeks ago. I played a total of 40 characters (all classes and races) but none of them got any higher than level 18. I got bored from one moment to the other with nothing to explain it but a bored feeling in my gut. So I left the game after 1 month when the payment was over. I searched the site for new MMO's to play and tried like 20. But NONE of them could compare to LOTRO. Especially graphic wise. Don't get me wrong I'm not a graphic wh.re but the game just raised the bar on MMO's for me. So at this moment I'm redownloading the patches and getting myself ready to play LOTRO again. But I have no idea for how long. Might be an hour or I might get to the higher levels this time. I do believe the huge amount of Quests add to the bored feeling. It's just too much to do. Normally this would be a good thing but it creates chaos in the game. You have no idea what to do next and it's more planning than just playing freely. I hope someone will post in this thread that can pinpoint what exactly is wrong and makes us all feel bored and eventually quit. |

Yeah install it, run it, wait for it to be connected and start Mabinogi. It worked for me and a couple of other people who had the same problem. |

I'm level 44 at the moment but I have to agree with the previous posters. I seem to have hit a brick wall when it comes to grinding xp. I used to play lots of hours on one day for weeks after another but now I simply lost interest. There is not much to look forward to except huge glowing weapons. So yeah I sometimes get the urge to click the icon on the desktop just to enjoy some nice martial arts animations but after killing about 100 monsters I get tired and I exit the game to leave it untouched for a week or 2 after which I repeat these actions. The game is awesome and original. I'm a huge fan of martial arts and I was thrilled to see animations that look so real as you may have seen often in almost every Kung Fu movie. But I guess Acclaim is killing it by not updating content and just leaving it alone. Making it one big grindfest with nothing to look forward to. |

What you're experiencing is not normal. I'm a big fan of 9Dragons and I've been playing it for a few months now but the only thing I've encountered so far are random dc's and some lag now and then. So like the guy above me suggest: check your drivers and try again. It's worth it... |
