Just did further tests. A friend of mine about 20 miles away uses Comcast, and it connects to the server just fine. (I'm using Wave Broadband, a division of I think Charter?)

So obviously it means that Wave is the issue. How the hell can I make them listen and fix it? And what should I tell them to investigate?? Any ideas?

Hey all, question for you all. I figured since its not really game specific that I could post it on the general, as the Lineage 2 forums are pretty dead.

Heres the issue we're having. L2 has like 8 servers. I am able to connect to all but 3 of them. Those 3 are west coast servers. I've tried my computer, my laptop, my neighbors, etc. My friend back east can log onto my account and on the servers just fine and see my characters.

I've tried changing DNS servers in my router, reinstalled the game, nothing seems to work. I've called my cable company and talked to NCSoft, after hours with them neither can find any issues.

I beleive it to be a network issue, but how can I get it resolved, or does anyone know of any workarounds that might work?

Sounds about right. And that is just the end game raid. The time to get to 80 itself will add some time to that.

Or just sign up for fileplanet..  I got a key instantly when I did that last night.  I plan to cancel after I actually get to play..

Comrade is Fileplanet. It is instant notification when keys go live. Its how I got mine.

No problem, ya I dunno about Canada. Good luck though, I am sure there is some equivalent.

Found this link on Mastercard (http://www.mastercard.com/ca/personal/en/findacard/prepaid_info.html) and they explain them and its the Mastercard Canada website. So I am sure they are somewhere. :)

Oh, something I just thought of if you didnt have a credit card. If you go to Safeway or somewhere that has those gift card malls, you can get Visa prepaid cards. They work just like a credit card. I think the smallest is 25, but you could get the head start for 5, then use the rest to put towards a game card when they release.

No one has said either way, from what I have read anyway. It would be a good idea, but I would not count on it.

Sorry, I don't think so. I believe it is only the major retailers found on the Age of Conan website. (Gamestop, EB Games, Amazon, Best Buy, Play.com, etc).

Unless of course they gave you a preorder box if in person, or said you would get it if online.

Sadly, they look out of stock. Even on the main page where it lists AOC, it doesnt show the CE where it used to. :(

I suppose it is how you read into it, but they say characters, which makes me think that it is like WoW, you can redeem them on all of your characters. But it might only be one character, i honestly dont know. But I plan to play several different characters, one of them will be one or more of the compatible classes. I havn't decided fully what will be my main character yet.

I preordered from Amazon. Here is what they say:

The Amazon Curved Bow becomes available to characters at level 25 and is the finest bow available at that level. The Amazon Curved Bow can be used by Rangers, Barbarians, Bear Shaman, and Tempests of Set and will be very helpful for mid-level characters.

Personally, by the time I'm 40 (if I recall that is the level when you get the free mount), I will have enough money to buy a mount. I'd rather have a weapon useable earlier than a mount that I cant pick out.

Solution: Get Comrade. Ya, I dont like using stupid crap like that, but I left it open and turned my speakers up real loud. Then, when the chime when I got an IM went off, I went in and sure enough they opened up more keys. I clicked the link and BAM. There was my key.

Try it, it works.

I was in the same boat as you (I both disliked D&D and also because they closed down AC2... yes I did love that game). But I did give LOTRO a try and I loved it! Give it a try, dont let past experiences let you not try it. Remember, it might be the same company, but it is different people developing it.
