Once, immediately after refueling my car I couldnt start the engine so I shouted on the gas station personel "what kind of shity fuel  you selling here !!" I was sure that the reason that I coudnt start my car is in the fuel and I've never had any problems with starting engine before that. Then I took the car to car mechanic and he told me that my fuel pump is not working (burned) and the fuel itself coudnt cause that.

So such things happens even if they seem perfectly logical

Has anyone ever stopped to ask, if WoW is just an EQ clone and everyone else is cloning WoW then why is WoW so much more popular? 

Because I leveled my first char to lvl60 on AMD 1ghz, 768MB RAM, geforce 2 gts 64MB without any serious performance problems. VG is very intensive HW game. And now that I have powerfull rig I wont play old games with obsolete graphic on it.

If AV battles took 7 hours before and 30min now, how can you say wow takes more time now? Since TBC everything takes less time really. Dungeons in outland are shorter and BG is more intense. This allows casual players that cannot sit and play 7 hours straight to enjoy the game more.

You absolutely missed the point. AV battles sometimes took more than 7h. But it was intensive fight between A vs H and it was fun. It was not about kill that boss NPC in 30min and take the honor. People went to BG to fight against the opposite faction not to grind honor for stupid purples over and over again. And pls tell me are you enjoying now those AV battles ? Like rush to opposite faction fortress and kill that boss over and over again ? Where is PVP in that ? It seems more like PVE to me

I run VG on 64bit vista, 4GB RAM, radeon 4870, HD in raid 0 and the game runs awesome I dont have such issues as you.

You can buy the game from ebay for just 4$. So if you really want to try it I recommend you to buy it and dont just wait for some trial. I mean 4$ is not going to kill you right ?

WoW is just old game with old, simple, ugly graphic.

I mean when I started playing wow I've had this rig:

AMD Athlon thunderbird 1ghz , geforce 2 GTS 64MB, 768MB RAM

I leveled my first char on it to 60

Runing wow on medium settings was no problem. In some caves I got around 80fps. On heavy populated places like Ogrimar around 10 fps.

This is my third rig since that:

Athlon X2 6400+, Radeon 3870, 2GB RAM

and ofc I'm not playing that old wow anymore. Its just waste of money invested to new rigs.

Vanguard is a Dead Horse. the game has been dead since day one. The worse release in MMORPG History. Bug infested game that has been out for a year and a half and now your claiming its good and want to bash AOC wich has been out for a month. How Pathetic.

If you like Vanguard, Fine. don't sit and bash a game that has moved faster to fix bugs than Vanguard ever did.

I think you work for Vanguard and try to drum up subs. AOC is doing great other wise they would have to open new servers.

I just hate trolls like you. I quited wow in february and was looking for new mmorpg at that time I was sure it will be AOC but I was to tired to wait till end of may so I found this Vanguard. Never ever heard of that game before nor its bad release.

And you know what ? I dont give a shit about the bad realease I started playing it in March so for me the release was like in March and the game catched my attention immediately. In May I was allready so hooked by the game that I didnt even think about buying AOC and I am glad I didnt

Here i found information about editing the VGClient file to get a better performance. After doing that, performance didnt really change. I then made a post on the VG forums and was basically told that even though my PC exceeds the Recommended specs, my gfx card isn't good enough to 'turn on the eye candy' for the game, just good enough to run it. My pc was little over a year old and technically only 6 months old when this game was released.

After looking at many other players requests for help on those tech forums, the amount of people being told to 'buy a new gfx card/hard-drive/processor/new computer altogether in order to play the game well is rediculous. Some people even state in their posts to not tell them to buy new upgrades, yet they are still told to do so. I personally wouldn't upgrade my pc for just 1 game, only when it starts not being able to run alot of games would i do that.

Anyway, the games concept is great and the classes and world seems very interesting, but i cannot play this game when in order to play it, the settings have to be so low it looks like a game from 6 years ago. One thing that really bugs me was how fences would only appear when i was about 10 feet from them. A guy on the tech forum told me that was always going to be like that do to the games engine! I've spent most of my time with the graphics settings window open trying to tweak the game to look good & run smooth at the same time, and it just isn't happening! I cant set myself free!!!

 Vg has always been a game that required alot of tweaking. My system is well above the recommended but I think its commely know that Sigil lied about the system spec's needed to play till they optimised. In the end getting the game to work in a decent fashion for me required too much sacrifice, (like disabling hte music/sound which I thought was one of the games good parts.)  and I gave up. I wish better luck to anyone else that trys VG.

What you say is about zones.

Instancing would be like: You live in Ohio and your friend also lives in Ohio but you cant meet because you live in other copy of Ohio (something like parallel universe)

I play it on maxed details. The average FPS is around 38 but depending on place it scales from 18-90 fps

The greatest RPG game I ever played Fallout 1 and 2.
The story line is put in the post apocalyptic world, the buttons on the official game site looks exactly like fallout interface.

If the developers are inspired by fallout I think that they can create best mmorpg ever.

Brilliant role playing, nice story.

VGsoh is the kind of game you can really enjoy if you want

For me VG is the best fantasy mmorpg on the market now and if the devs continue to do the good job like they are it will stay the best for very long time

I think in AOC there will be very many kids because  there will belots of gore like choping heads off... and ofc the M rating. Kids like forbidden fruit
