On the contrary some people like myself spend time trying to just simply prove something, even anything about this project.

I personally cannot find anything to support many of the claims that Tasos has been making for years.

I want this game to be what he has said it will be, and I want it to release within this year feature complete etc. as he says it will.

If I found evidence to support that I would share it but I cant find it yet, so I just post what I have found.

But it is enjoyable in the “investigative journalism” fashion, and for the comedy rewards alone.

What we really need is a “deep throat” type source who can give us inside information, perhaps some of the Greek speakers who are providing translations and insights may qualify in that role.

But I do feel we are getting close.

But you CANT prove anything. Noone can, so your not really getting anything accomplished, just ALOT of effort for nothing.
 

You can prove lots of things, like contradictions and inaccuracies, or at worst, incompetency. All these undermine the trust in those who would have us believe them without substantiating their claims and perhaps urge them to disclose more information and evidence in order to do so. Perhaps some of us are displeased and disappointed by the management and PR of Aventurine and DF. Whether it matters or not it does not invalidate our opinion. Complacency is not how things improve.

Yes, but proving any or ALL of that does not prove the game is vapor or not, so again, wasted effort.

How do you know this? I know why you believe it, because Tasos stated so, but that's not I'm asking. I'm asking what makes you so sure that you would state this as fact?

Got nothing to do with Tasos, I dont know him so he has no credibility with me. Either way how do you know it will or wont? Noone knows, so why psycho-analyze the hell out of it? There are far better ways you can be spending your time

I think it's a post count thing. Im just excited for DF wanted everyone to know. It will raise the bar on all mmo's and give players that like the use of skill to have a home. No more settling for no-skill needing games like wow, war and aoc!!

Bottom line is that DF is near completion, why worry about details such as these??

Actually, we perceive plenty about the universe that cant be seen with the naked eye, touched, smelled, heard, or tasted.  We can do that because these things have a physical effect on the natural world.  In essence, they are predictable via hypothesis and can be independantly tested.

Of course we have much to learn, but chasing after things that CANT be tested does not add to our knowledge.  You dont attempt to prove negatives.  I cant prove Zeus doesnt exist, as I cant be everywhere at once.  I CAN say that lack of evidence make his existance highly unlikely.  Only those that claim Zeus DOES exist are required to provide proof.

Regardless this is a topic none of us can speak factually about and only use our opinions.
