In beta you can only catch so many things, I like how you know for a fact they plan on doing nothing, when there constant patches seem to be showing the opposite. Im sorry were you even in the Beta testing for Warhammer? Anyway that is irelevant if you have a problem with the situation, you can always quit and go to another game. |

Just a few things I want to post and your all welcome to reply.
1) Im not 40 yet or in T4 so I have no knowledge (neither do any of you) as what contributes towards realm control, except for what ive seen in Podcasts, which is PQ,Quests,Scenarios, open rvr. 2) You have all taken the time to post on here the problem of zone controll and having Order being sieged which I understand and agree that if there is a problem we should fix it. However, for all this posting on this forum have any of you actually posted this in game as an issue, if you have please link me a picture of you doing so. Its not that I dont beleive you or anything...but I find it odd that Mythic would avoid your suggestions entirely seeing as they are patching diligently what players are "reporting" as bugs or problems. 3) All I can say, is that if this is an issue that they "are" aware of...with time it will be fixed as there is something called a "process of checks and balances" that need to be done before anything can be live. Mythic might already be working on a HOTFIX for this...unfortunately we just dont know do we? 4) Since we cannot do anything right now against this BUG that you guys are all mentioning..all I can say is that you have two options. 1) You can quit the game (which I hope you guys give Mythic a chance to fix this, because the more people are in game the better the RVR exepriance is), or 2) you guys can just agree that there is a problem..report it through ingame reporting, or try calling customer support. After this is done go to the CITY and protect it from its invaders untill its fixed. *please note* take my post with a grain of salt. Remember that you guys dont need to flame a game or a company just to get your point accross..because by doing that it only makes you guys/gals look like trolls. P.S. No I am not a fanboi, however I do enjoy the game..and I hope they fix anything that is broken for all of our sakes. thats my 2 cents |

I've felt like the game didn't sacrifice it's PvP for PvE like most seem to do. And to the poster before you - this is the first game in a long time that has kept me up into the wee hours of the morning, pvping......and I could never do that for a PvE game. Everyone has their own desires out of a game, but I'm not sure why you are raving about grinding PvE mobs in EQ, on a WAR forum.
WAR is a great game dont get my wrong, i love playing it and the time dissapears before my eyes lol. I know that you dont understand why "grinding" pve mobs in EQ was fun. First of all back then MMO's didnt have this term called Grinding. Grinding has a negative connotation, It basically means a bad way to spend your time. Back in the old days...MMO's werent about grinding to get gear or to do this or whatever. Everyone just had fun exploring, killing these cool bosses and basically surviving as a group. We spent hours hanging out and just talking while we killed stuff. I dont really know how to explain the experiance. Lets just say its def not what MMO;s are today. Yes MMO's today are fun..but they are fun in a different way. Too many people have become greedy and it has siphoned the life out of the veteran players like myself. Anyway..anytime someone says grind in an MMO that person is not enjoying the game. Because as people say there is a grind in WAR, I dont see a grind..i love my time in the game and look forward to my next rank and so on and so forth. |

And every class was usefull in that game. We need something like that. Warhammer I think is a great compilation of many different games, but one thing I do think it fails at..is giving me that "Must need a group to level because of difficulty feeling". Warhammer does it at higher levels depending on what you are doing. However even regular mobs in EQ were not easy to kill by yourself..usually not even with two people unless you had a kiting class. |

Your flaming skills are horrible. No, Your wrong. Instanced PVP has effect on the realm, Instanced PVP = RVR, so you fail. If you want to continue with your useless prattle go ahead. However try watching some of the pod casts explaining what Mythic considers is RVR and how each type pvp affects the overall scheme of things. Untill then please dont try to correct anyone with incorrect information. |

Right now id recommend staying away from AOC, at least untill they get their bearings. With the recent fires and hires...give them some time. As for a great MMO right now.. you can try WoW its got alot of content and you can do alot and it will keep you busy for a long time. However the game becomes a gear grind fest end game..which is annoying but hey everyone has a different poison. Warhammer is alot of fun and has a huge amount of content and just released 2-3 weeks ago. I highly recommend that game (high fun content imo). Another game to look into is Aion..it looks good. |

There is nothing more frustrating than being anything but a healer and loosing because one or two people choose not to do their job. Yeah, its your right to play how you want, but please roll a different class.

Yeah maybe this is just me, but this poll sounds a little...i dunno biased? is maybe what im looking for?
P.S. Since WoW is now a gear grind, that game is no longer any fun for me (unless they change that) Ill be between WAR and AION...or both if I can afford it.
P.P.S. Wouldnt it be awesome...if MMOs were only $5 a month? that way we could play any two we wanted. *edit* *misc* |

Heres the deal, its pretty simple. This is a team game...now i have a 13 DOK and a 10 BO. with my DOK i can keep my entire team healed by throwing instant cast hots, and doing damage that spreads heals to everyone near me...I end up healing everyone. Now..when I play my BO I notice that no one bothers to heal me ever. Healers heal the squishies...which is an epic fail...because they can usually not out heal the damage focus on them anyway. I see a healer screaming why wont you tanks protect us? Well the same reason you healers wont heal the tanks. Im so tired of joining a SC, and most of the healers are off healing other people like Marauders or Sorcerers and they let the tanks die. When I mention that I need heals...they get all upset and tell me to stfu or something along those lines...but then they bring the point up that we should be protecting the healers and not pushing the line. Well then...hmmm...so we stay in one spot protecting the healers that dont even want to heal us.. meanwhile we arent pushing so the Order is taking all these points and then we get screwed when its over because we had spent the entire time protecting the healers and our exp isnt there. You guys want to start a list of brats that complain about getting heals? Thats good, because im going to start sending names of healers that dont feel like healing and actually helping their team. If your a healer do your job and heal. There is no If's or buts about it. When you guys dont heal our team losses the match and the experiance to go with it. And to the argument that the BW or the Sorcerer needs to be healed so they can do tons of damage...just throw an instant HOT on them and watch them blow up stuff. In fact how hard is it, to throw a HOT on your team members that have lost HP? Look at your team that is near you and prioritize which one of them needs to be healed. Heres a hint...if the tank dies, your entire team dies. Obviously if the tanks arent protecting you corectly, send them a message and get them to. rank 10 = guard for healers which will be your best friend going forward. Think about it. /Rant off |

I think Warhammer is the perfect Casual Gamer type game. It gives you plenty of options and you can always do something regardless how much time you have. The OP is correct that RVR doesnt just manifest...the players need to create it. So if you dont see RVR going on...but you want to get it going? Invite some people and go attack something, gurantee you will see a response within at the most 10-25 minutes depending on when and what your attacking. *Note* if you dont like the game thats ok, there are other games out there. One game that will be worth looking into if WAR is not for you...is Aion: Tower of Eternity. |

We all like different games, some people will not like WAR...and that is fine. Post your reviews, debate it and go find a different game. Warhammer does alot of this right, and some things couldve been done better. But I must say im surprised at how many critics decided to just materialize.
All of a sudden every gamer is a critic after two weeks after a game is released. IMHO none of you (or myself) have a right to post a review being it positive or negative. I dont care how much you played in 2 weeks or what your 10 year experiance playing older games was like. I am a EQ Vet and I have seen many launches myself. Not all games turn out to be the same as they were at launch. In fact NO GAMES are the same as they were at launch. You guys want to write a good review of a MMORPG? Then wait 6 months - 2 years go in and play the game see where the devs took it.. then post a review. MMORPG's are the hardest type of game to review for because so many things can change. Now I myself find WAR enjoyable...it was hard for me to adjust given my normal 5-15 hour gameplay days from the old EQ...those were the days lol. Here is a good example to consider: Everquest was a great game, with a great community and trading system...mainly right outside Freeport in the caves to the Oasis if im not mistaken...for all those vets that remember those days. Anyway the traveling system and community was very close....then Shadows of Luclin (I think) released and allowed players to use books to transport themselves all over the world..this limited the travel abilities of Druids and Wizards because of the change...and graphical upgrade as well. Many people were upset because they werent used to the new graphics...and alot of Wizards and Druids were pissed because they lost one of their major incomes...mainly teleporting people around for a few PP here and there. My point: Games change...give it a chance before you ladies and gentlemen feel the nessecity to bash it to the extent you are. And if even one of you replies to this with excuses about experiance...and wow...or any other game that your comparing it to? I dont care. We arent in that games forum are we? Get over it. |

Sure it does..but on every server that I have played in, i can always find a RVR battle. Again I think that you may see a shortage now because people are also using the SC's to level..however once the majority of players feel out their characters and everyone realizes that Open RVR is better for experiance and bonuses..that will switch to Scenarios being used alot less. i only play SC myself when I want to PVE/PQ and not RVR for whatever reason. But you will see when people want to RVR...my goodness you will see WAR. I have been in many open rvr battles on large scales on Chaos Wastes. You are welcome to join us there. (Open RVR, server)
Yes, I'm aware of that dynamic and that as you get closer to T4, scenarios become less and less rewarding. By the endgame scenarios are supposedly next to pointless. I understand that the early scenarios are a way to ease people unaccustomed to open RvR into the game. While I can appreciate those things, the actual effect is to make T1-2 (so far) suffer from a lack of participation in PQs and open RvR. This causes many people to become bored, frustrated and disenchanted with the game. It's not as advertised and many don't have the patience to play to T3-4 in hopes of it getting better. Personally, I'm in for the long haul. My favorite MMO of all time was DAoC and it was pretty much crap until you got to endgame. It was fun leveling up in pre-ToA, but became another solo grind to max level (especially after Catacombs). So I know how cool RvR can be and have waited years to play this game. I understand all the factors that are in play here, and still believe that the game would have been better off without scenarios. They're unecissary.
I agree, that SC are not necessary, however..given that there are many different type of players out there it might have been required to get some to play. I liked the concepts of DAOC which is the only reason I tried Warhammer...because many of those same concepts came into this game. Trials of Atlantis was a great expansion...I just hope they continue to work on WAR and find a way to make open rvr look soo attractive that people will prefer that in the long run. And just for the OP incase he missed this...Open RVR yields the best items in the game....Reknowned gear is good but it doesnt beat what drops from random enemy players that you kill. |

Scenarios are nothing but a side-game distraction to this effort and detract from the immersion and goal. It siphons a large bulk of the less motivated PvPers away from open RvR and into a meaningless WoW battleground clone that really has no place in this game other than pacifying the instant gratification receptors in the ADHD kid that resides in us all. And I'm sick of games that require you to get to the end before they even start to become fun. This was the number one thing they preached about WAR. That you'd be doing PQs and RvR from T1. Scenarios ruin both for T1-2. Thats your problem right there. This game is made in a way where you can start to experiance what endgame is going to be like at level 1. It's hard enough to get enough people for a PQ in the first place. Even in open RvR, you see people just disappear as they zone over to their scenario. I understand that scenarios can be fun, but it's at the expense of the rest of the game. It's not necessary to throw everything into every game. Especially if you're trying to make PvP have any meaning besides selfish PK numbers. I 100% (completely) undestand and took what you were saying into account before posting. It's funny you give the mindless and selfish people in games the benefit of the doubt and assume they'll just wake up eventually and see open-field RvR is more rewarding, but assume anyone that views scenarios as a detriment to the well-being of the game hasn't put enough thought or research into the subject. I apologize if you felt that lest sentence was an insult...i meant that in general to posters not specifically you. Scenarios add up to the totall war effort that allows the other side to attack the capital city. Im guessing its 70% open rvr 15% RVR styled quests and 15% scenarios. If people want to play SC's let them. It will just take longer to open up the capital city for sieges. If your in combat you cannot zone into a SC, it locks you untill your out of combat which is always g | |
