So you dont like the high user rating, and dont want people to play this game because what exactly? Im sorry your post didnt really make much sense. What exactly about the game didnt you like? Your arguement is very VAGUE. Graphics are sucky compared to what? Animations are dull? Yet there is more animation then all of the games you have mentioned...except maybe AOC...they had good animations for combat when it wasnt bugged. Mythic hyped us through commercials and thats the reason we like the game...ofcourse it has nothing to do with the fun factor  (that most are having a blast?) The game runs on a 3.4 ghz 2 gig ram 128 meg video card 1900x radeon crossfire perfectly. And thats at high settings max view.  The only time it gets choppy is when there is an army infront of you. Damn...how many other games can say that? Warrior priests are nothing like Paladins...if you played the game you wouldve known that, passed level 12. 7 orcs cant kill a warrior priest? Now i know your lying.  The only way those 7 couldnt kill 1 warrior priest was if they were all rank 1 and he was rank 20-30+ in Open Rvr. Go pick up English and the game play it for more then 1 hour come back and write a decent review. In the words of your first MMO, Nuff said kk i just wtfpwned you.

Yeah, zen is hard to find at work. I do agree however that people should first research WAR before playing it, I myself am having a blast.  However it is not for everyone.  Just like the box says people. (Online Experiance may vary)

TBC was a blessing or the game would have died already a year ago.

Stupid thread for something that has been discussed a zillion times already.

TBC Wow = 8.5 / Old Wow = 7.5 (in context of todays standards).

I hope WotLK will be 9.0  tx to the incredible PvP action seen in Lake Winter in game videos and the new 10/25 men Raid options.

1 PVP zone, 1 hero class, level cap to 80, same old gear grind, +10 man raids for 1 tier lower then max on gear sets.  That my friends is what I call too little, and over 4 years? way too damn late.  WoW only needs to add a good pvp system and get rid of the Gear grind that they created with TBC and it wouldve been a great game.  Its too much of a Time Sync...you play for hours to get gear that becomes useless with the next expansion and most of the tradeskills are useless. No thanks.

If quantity is your biggest problem, then howmuch would be enough? Howmany new classes, howmany new dungeons, howmany new battlegrounds, howmany new things would be enough for you and "your" people?

I don't get the part about creating a gear grind in TBC, gear grind was there from the beginning and it is basicly the backbone of WoW, can that still count as an argument?

Creating a good PVP system? Yes, that would suit me to because I like PVP, but it would just make a great game better.

Tradeskills are usefull, for making money, and you get some epics in the end.

You people? What do you mean you people? (lol Tropic Thunder)  Anyway.. I like the amount of content they have provided. I HATE the gear grind. I HATE the same boring classes for 4 years.  After 4 years I want at least 4 new classes.  THey dont have to be HERO classes, i understand releasing 1 hero class at a time but Everyone is bored of the same classes.  And lets face it, the entire game really happends at 70 now.  So basically 1-69 is basically useless..people dont really group anymore, if they do its every once in a while on prime time servers. all the content that Blizzard gave us is now flown through with the +20% experiance increase post level 20.  They should have just allowed the Capped players to type /endgame on the new character and take them all the way to level 55 which is the same as their new hero class.  The game was not all about gear grinding..it was about PVE instances, raids against other towns etc.  They never got the hint about giving us a better pvp system and they certainly did not get the hint about the atrocious gear grind.

Chosen I dont beleive can Dual WIeld, I think that is the Marauder class, Witch class, and Deciple of Khaine only for Destruction.  Chosen can equip 1 hand and a shield and a 2 hander.

PS please correct me if im wrong

I am really really really looking forward to this game. I dont care if it is a WoW clone or not. The graphics look good, from what Ive read and seen it looks that it will come together in a great MMO experiance.  Who cares what the Naysayers say? I mean..the game isnt even out yet..so how the hell do they even know its a clone?  I think the old player base and the new age (WOW fanatics) have created some sort of MMORPG twilight time period.  Where everything has to be a clone or bad.  People said Warhammer was a wow clone and ive played both and they are nothing alike lol.  What makes you think that it matters what they say about AION where nothing is even close to being the same.

I just want to post that WARHAMMER is a team focused game. DOK is a Healer/ light dps class, you cant expect to fight at the front lines and do massive damage, have massive amount of HP and still be able to heal.  Sorry thats not how Mythic made the game.  This just isnt a solo style MMORPG.  Mostly every class requires a group to be truely effective in RVR.  Now I suggest you get into a group and play, its more fun that way.  And as far as you waiting in the back field. DOK is meant for front line assists for tanks and other DPS specific classes.  They arent meant to really kill anyone fast.  And yes unless your a tank spec in WAR if more then 2-3 players target you and focus fire...your gonna die. Welcome to the WAR, please check your macros at the door, and get ready for skill required gameplay.

It takes at least 12 months to develop a full 3D world you can fly over, land everywhere you want and adventure in..

It takes 2 days to make a loading cut screen like in WAR.

Yes indeed THAT is about the difference between the vast superior quality some offer compared to the work of amateurs trying to do the “same thing”.

And do NOT enter in this discussion War fan boys, because in about EVERY other aspect of WAR this HUGE ugly gap is showing.
--------------------------------

From complete lacking intelligence in the Mob paths to extreme lacking control functions in PvP combat (yes CC DOES need MORE programming efforts), to complete absence of different (so more costly to develop) class resources (like mana).

This game is a laugh as an MMORPG – a WORLD you live in -

Everything is window dressing in this game. The high mountains are a cheap 2D camouflage to lure you into utterly crap of ‘tunnel vision” progress. A fixed road to just more of the same: bashing some heads of others, stupid enough to play.

Scenarios are a laugh. Some are being played on a post stamp.

The game’s ugliness is a new milestone of that famous new legendary one-liner :
“How to take the money and run with the LEAST effort possible.

Grtz to the intelligence of all people who don’t even notice the most obvious.

This WAR is about the deepest fall in the development of MMO Role Playing Games you can have.

It’s tasteless, boring and has an incredibly bad design (just look at the server caps which will strangle its own populations in two months time), but mostly it is CHEAP in execution.

I wouldn’t even play it if it were offered free. Still a few days left on my cancelled CE tx to GOA, but I can't even log in anymore. I am too spoiled with the approach of real hi quality and polished games.

And I hope for the sake of the industry the annalists ARE right: - 250 K after three months - because that would even be too much honour.

1) we only need to hear you dont like a game once, not 50,000 posts (obviously overexagerating..but srsly)

2) Every MMORPG has problems, just to give an easy non-arguementive example, WOW also had issues at launch and it turned out to be a great game down the road. (11 million subs prove it)

3) If you dont like a game thats fine, why do you feel obligated to throw a tamper tantrum? Take your meds next time before feeling the urge to post.

4) Im happy to say I wont have to group with you during my Warhammer experiance.

5) Dont judge a game at lauch, judge it after you have played it for a few months. (after fixes, and any changes).

6) This may be all greek to you, and being that I am greek, I will translate. "Stop pretending to be a gamer, and a critic. We have enough of those on this site, and the ones we have are already good." Thank you for your time, now drop the subject please and go attack a different game that deserves your time more then WAR.

Ive tried over 25 F2P games and they all sucked, I currently play Warhammer and its alot of fun, i reccomend you pick it up.

Now I did find two F2P games that are alot of fun, and offer alot for being F2P.  One is Shaiya backed by Aeria or something like that (same people who produced Last Chaos).

Second game I played and had alot of fun with was sort of a RTS RPS style MMORPG. Its called Atlantica.  Its alot of fun but can feel like a grind sometimes.

Look them up at the least, if you get some cash though i def reccomend WAR.

As far as your trainer question, (not 100% sure) I think once you get to a flight master, just head to the Capital city which i think is in the Dark elf territory.  Im sure they have all the profession trainers there.

There are certain quests I can't even complete (I play Greenskin) because they respawn so quickly but yeah what does everyone else think on the subject? I know its bad on the Greenskin starting areas how is it other places? Thoughts on the subject? Right now this is the only major thing getting in the way of my full enjoyment. When I kill a mob then kill another one the first one ususally respawns before i kill the second... gives me the owies! waaagh!

The spawn times I think (not entirely 100% sure) are borrowed from the same schedule WoW has.  Where the more people in the zone or area = faster respawn rates for Monsters  Either that or perhaps the devs purposly made respawns faster for initial launch due to high numbers of players in the same area.  Thats my guess ofcourse I agree that it sucks when your fighting something and you get spawned on, it happends in every game and WoW has it the worst especially in Hellfire at launch.  Anyone remember being 60 doing a level 58 quest and getting wtfpwned by respawning mobs right after you killed it?

The only time the scenario's can be a little hard (to win) is if you have alot of rank 1-5's on your side and are fighting against rank 10's-12's.  Not because of HP or gear really..but because of the stronger abilities and spells that are available at higher ranks.  Usually the level 8 morale ability helps quite a bit no matter what class you are.

Its funny how alot of wow players that are oblivious to other MMORPG's and lore always give the WAR copied wow excuse.  Seriously its over done and it needs to stop now.  Please understand that WAR has been around long before WoW was ever created..in fact some of the WoW staff used to work under WAR lore.  Now both games are good, both have problems and both need a few tweaks here and there.  I have played WoW since beta and WAR since launch.  Based on MY EXPERIANCE.. Warhammer has launched smoother and has had more content then WoW has with almost two expansions.  Dont reply. Just accept it.

The reason being is that there isnt' anywhere else for 'wow-haters' to go.  There also isn't a game launching any time soon ( I think Bioware is next, but that is a long way away).

But I think the big test with War is how good Lake Wintergrasp ends up being in WOW.   The zone so far is amazing, with moveable seige weapons, troop transports, destrutable walls and buildings, fighter plans and bombers etc etc.   If the thing you like most about a MMORPG is seiging, wow is really going to blow Warhammer away.  There are just so many more things to do with seiging than warhammer offers.

Im sorry but i have to disagree completely here.  WoW will not blow warhammer away in PVP sieging, 1 zone is nothing compared to an entire game (every zone) of siege weapons and constant battles...leading up to capital city sieges.  Yes WoW is a great game...but unfortunately I think 1 zone, only 1 hero class and 2 expansions later..its too little too late.  Good luck with the WoW expansion, im not touching it untill they fix the end game gear grind problem.  To the OP, EA announced they sold 1.5 million copies in just North America. How many stay is a different story.

yeah 1 zone youre right....but its better than tier 1-3 worth of RvR war offers right now. most of witch are empty a majorty of time unless you stay on the empire/chaos pairing.

they really blew WaR away when it comes to seige weaponary. i hate to say it

Ive been looking for a new MMO to play besides WoW...but no point in playing another game just to play it because its different if its not *better*

On every server ive played on (total 4) every tier ive been in usually 1-3 ive seen battles.  people actually use the siege weapons and they work just fine.  The rvr is not specifically in only 1 area, however some areas see more action then others.

"every zone" lol make that 10%, 20% etc / zone ..

Every zone has rvr in it, if it doesnt on your server i think you arent looking in the right places. and as far as server population, during prime time every server in the list is usually high or full with ques.

WAR is not a great MMO, but it certainly sets a standard that other games need to match up to. Unfortunately though, it still falls a little short of GuildWars in terms of overall playability and the player feeling involved in the storyline. There are also many elements which have been lifted almost directly from WoW and other games, although I do like the quest locations not being marked out precisely. It requires the player to look around within a certain area, instead of being led directly to to the end result.

The term "next generation" gets used too much, especially when no one has yet defined that term for use in MMO's. What will the next generation of online games need to include?

I think our biggest hopes are possibly going to be Stargate:Worlds, and maybe GuildWars 2.

"It still falls a little short of guildwars in terms of overall playability and the player feeling involved in the storyline"

*Reply* Warhammer storyline makes me feel important and that im right in the battle.  Guild wars doesnt do it on the same level imho.

I played guild wars, and im sorry you cant even compare Warhammer to it.  Completely diff playstyles for one, and two Warhammer offers much more at launch then Guild wars offers after expansions.  The only thing i like better in guild wars is the no monthly fee required to play.

~ Is there a open world?  (like say VG?)

~ Are the invis walls?

~ Is the world large?

~ I heard its RvR, but can i go to a enemy side and atk someone of the opposing faction? (like WoW) or does all pvp take place in a special zone or instance?

~ Weather effects? doest it rain/snow?

Any comments would be great!!

1) yes to the open world, (in my opinion ofcourse, like everquest without the zones, never played VG)

2) Have not run acros an invis wall yet

3) the world is huge, and is broken into 3 different army type confrontations as follows

Greenskin vs Dwarfs, Empire vs Order and Dark Elves vs High Elves

4) Core servers, only allow in specifica locations to be attacked like contested zones in WoW, where Open RVR servers are kill anywhere on sight regardless where you are.

5) havent payed attention to this.

Commnets- Game is alot of fun, it will truely shine imho end game where the massive raids start.
