I LOVE the idea of a universal buffing system. I kind of hated the need to have a buff bot and the plethera of buff bots and that ruined the game for me. I also love old frontiers. If they can make an old frontiers system then it would be nice if they intergrated these into Gaheris somehow, but hell I would even play such a server on a RvR realm. |

I don't understand this at all. Are they saying that all classes would be buffed or would there be buffers around the world to buff players? Or would we have access to certain buffs based on your class. I would come back and play on this server in an instant if they launched it IF this was explained in full detail. I love the old worlds and DAOC was my first MMO. I would love to recapture that without all the addons. |

Back on pendragon they had a NPC which game buffs out placed at the Portal keeps during some tests. I wager it would be similar IM all for it....One last time on the Emain Milegate. I'd be there |

I will definitely come back for this. It was one of the major things I wanted to happen for this game. The other being updated animations, ui, and overall clunkiness feel of movement.

my ideal restarting point would be after SI was implemented, before TOA and New Frontiers. That server would appeal to me.

It does sound like a cool idea, but I think in practice it will not work. DAoC does not have the sub numbers to spread people over yet another server. Also, while many have great memories of the old days, that is not because OF was so great but because the game was still quite new. In fact, milegates where a pain in the a.... :D I dont think OF will improve the gaming experience one gets now from the classic servers by a great margin. Many will probably roll a couple toons, make it to 50 eventually only to find that it's still the same game with fewer classes and go back to their old server or quit. |

I already play, but i would drop everything i am doing to join this server. No TOA, old emain and if they figure a way to deny buff bots? Sure, seems applealing. Would more folks return? Hard to say. There are so many choices for games out there now, it almost seems that those who would have 'come back' are back and playing by now. For the amount of players in the game now, is it fair to say that this is the true community? I recall a progame a buddy downloaded, where you roll a 50, any gear and deke around in Emain what ever race u want. We played for hours , then it got old.... hope a new server is not another flavor of the month. |
