Playing as a Hibernian on Molvik tonight just wasn't worth my time or money. Seriously though, whats the point of playing this game when 90% of players on Classic servers seem to want to x-realm to their BDs whenever another realm controls a BG central keep. Tonight was a record though for BD population and all of them had no problem exploiting the pet through door bug.

Congrats to Mythic for completely ignoring 2 major game flaws for months, and months and months. Sure hope WAR proves to be a MMO worthy of dethroning WoW, cause their lack of attention for DAoC sure doesn't suffice as a good reputation.

dude i hate it how they let people jump realms. its so annoying. i miss the old days. you played one realm no matter what happens that is your realm. you joinedi t stick with it or delete your char and pick a diff realm.  i really hope they dont let that happen with WAR i wont play it if they do.

right know i dont even like playing DAOC anymore becouse of the realm jumping.  pvp is so boring and you cant trust anyone anymore.  and there is no realm pride like there used to be.  no more jokeing albs ot hibs or mids nothing.   some do it once in a while but they just end up jumping realm. and the wars are not as big anymore.

i love this game and would love to stay with it but its hard if everyone and there mom is jumping realms all day. hard to make friends that way to unless you know what realm there on at that time. and i know mythic wont take out this realm jump at all.

i really hope they dont mess up WAR but from what i was told by alot of people its not doing so good. but that si beta so we will see

I think they got caught between a rock and a hard place.   Now that there are only enbough players for one classic cluster, they either have to allow realm hopping or lock new players out of trying out 2/3 of the realms.

Neither option is great, but I think allowing realm hopping is the lesser of evils.  The one change I would like to see is the lockout timer when you change realms made longer.  Something like double or triple the current lockout timer would encourage folks to stick with a given realm for at least an evening.  I personally wouldn't mind a 24 hour lockout timer.

I agree with Punkrock. Realm pride was a big thing once, now its a joke.

Yeebo's solution is practical, and something I and members of my guild/alliance have sent a petition to Mythic to implement.

BTW, if you play a BD in DAoC, its not for the end-game at all as they are ineffective in New Frontiers. It is because you have a small penis.

On a serious note, if they come out with a new server, I bet most will reroll there and the new server won't allow cross-realming. The whole cross realming thing came about when Mythic had to start Clustering servers. Instead of making people delete their old characters on servers that were clustered with their other server characters, they just made it to where you had to wait in order to play on one of the other servers. Them reducing the timer is what caused cross realming to be the thing to do.

Again, this will all disappear when they come out with a new server. There won't be another server clustered with it to cross realm to. I cannot wait.

Yeah the bg are a total waste of time now with all the one button pressing bonedancers. Alot of peeps say oh well stealthers can kill them  , well let me  tell ya its very very hard to beat a bd  in particularly a temped one with pd  that doesnt take alot of effort to get. If an assasin can mange to pull off a crit pa then maybe they will and yes archers can take down an untemplated  one in 3 or 4 shots but lets face it whos not templated to the eyeballs. The pets are a friggin joke especially the healing ones who were supposed to have been nerfed who quite often have the bd healed back to full before i can draw my 3rd shot.

Ive also noticed a marked increase in their poxy pets resetting after being mezzed.

I can easily take a solo BD out if he is Grey ganking the NF xp sites (I play watch dogs for the lowbies at times on my Sorc).  I have killed BA BDs with my scout--and died to them too. I avoid the ones with healer pets.

Of course, at lvl 50 BDs suq and RvR is group oriented, so a BD goes under the wheels too quickly for them to be wanted in groups--hence my "small penis" line above.  The only reason someone wants one is to exploit the lower lvl bgs..heck they aren't even the best Mid farming toon--which reinforces that line of thinking.

i hate realm jumping i played hib since first day game came out and been on realm i have really played  unless playing on a friends  toon

I really don't get why people or crying about people realm jumping. People should play how they want to play I mean its their money that they are spending on this game so they should play how they want. If its realm jumping, zerging etc come on. If I'm having a bad day on my Mauler on hib so I just should contin. to playing him and be a rp farm bank nope I don't think so. I'm going to log off him and log on my alb Reaver. Call it realm jumping, call it x realming call it what ever you I really don't care. I call it being smart not helping people become a higher RR because you keep coming out and getting farmed. But I will end this with these words. Telling people how to play a game with their money is just plain stupid.

I call it being disloyal to your realm mates. You are getting farmed, so you quit and jump on the winning side? What happened to realm pride and loyalty. Some days are better than others, it's just the way RvR goes. This doesn't mean you choose the realm that is winning all of the time. I cannot tell you how to spend your money and no one here is, but we can say we disagree with your playstyle and if we found out ingame who you were, the word would get around quickly of your traitorish acts and you would be blacklised.

That is cool but their is only one funny thing about that my name is in my sig. Also would this matter to me no why because i'm a nightshade I don't group my friend. So if you blacklisted me it wouldn't matter not one copper penny. Because I got my own buffbots and I have my own support toons so  I really don't ever need a group. But I will be nice if you really want to blacklist me. I will give you the names of all my toon so you can  go ahead and blacklist me or whatever it will never effect me. I will only get a laugh out of it I have 3 accounts.

Realm crossing is cheating plain and simple.  It is something that I am sure won't happen in WAR.  It only happened because Mythic had to cluster the servers.  It was either allow cross realming or make people delete characters they had on a different server in a different realm.  Which would of made people really angry. 

But don't expect the option on WAR.  It will be like WoW's PVP servers where you can only play one or the other side.
