Well... we have about 6 in our corp...  I know MC had at least 7 or 8 that I know of as well when we flew with them in tortuga.  Pretty much every corp I've been in has had at least a couple.  Doesn't have as many as SWG did but there are some women who play.

Either this is the dumbest question ever posted, or I have missed the 'obvious troll is obvious' boat.

Ofc that girls play EVE too, Im one of them, and i am hard core player more than most of guys i know ingame. My husband showed me this game almost 2 years ago and i got stucked :) --> now he think that it was mistake :P

How ever, its also not true that women are never in high command etc. Im head diplomat in my alliance, also one of directors. I know that girls like xxAngelxx were one of the fc , ceos and directors in Triumvirates before. I has chance to talk with some girls from other corporations and alliances, some of  them are even top pvp players in their corps ,very skilled and experinced players, far better than many boys i know there.

So point is that there are women in Eve, in my corporation its 3 of us, in alliance surely 3-4 more. And also, most of guys dont even know that im female, there is no chance to make any difference in my playing. Onlyone way to find out is  hearing my voice on teamspeak or seeing me in rl on some corporation meetings . And im not telling that im girl either to other eve players because i think its really not important, not in game atleast...

I have to add one more thing, yes , women/girls can be hard core players. And so far i find out that most of girls prefer pvp more than carebearing.

Onlyone problem is because its not many of us. We play from shadow. Its true that EvE is not that attractive for women , because many women dont really like idea to be spaceships. I have no avatar to customize and wear new clothes etc, but tbh im to occupied ingame with many other things so i dont even care  and have time  for things like that. In the end if i want to customize my avatar i would go to play Second life or Hellokittyonline.

Who know's but maybe Ambulation will bring more girls to the game? My girlfriend was totally stunned when I showed her the TenTonHammer video about Ambulation. The really enjoys socialzing and diplomatics. So EvE sounds like the right choice. But she also likes customizing her avator, which EvE _currently_ does not provide. But Ambulation will change that.

My girlfriend played EvE she found it too slow so it was hardly intellectually stimulating. So no girls aren't too stupid to play EvE, EvE is just too boring to get girls.

The most famous RL female I`ve known in Eve was Foyle (not sure if she is still the user of that account), easiest way to find out gender now is Eve Voice
