maybe its the 40 hours you spent this week in Wow? You get payed to work that 40 hours? my gosh. Wish I had a spare 40 hours to play a game that much.

 

 

I've got a M-F 9-5 Ezmode job where, yes, I can play WoW if I choose.  The wife plays WoW too, I think her XFire has her up to 60 hours this week and over 2k all time...  Now if I could just get her to enjoy Eve as much as she does WoW....

ug, my wife is another wow-ite.  i can't take playing it though.  i played a little when TBC came out, and quit shortly thereafter.  as soon as i entered the new area and saw all the... PIGS... demonic pigs, but pigs nonetheless, to kill, i thought "oh look, more damned pigs, yup, didn't kill enough of those for 60 levels".  that first impression of how TBC would be, never changed.

^^ eve is time consuming but incredibly addictive.. but most of the guys are just too ignorant to recognize how awesome it is and stop playing within the first 2 days because its "soo boring" ( even you show them the revelations trailer )

I am one of the few left that picked the game up pretty soon after release in '03 and although i've had a few hiatus here & there i always end up coming back to EvE.  With BS5 (whatever race you have chosen) and wep specific spec 5 you really notice a big difference; you'll absolutley tear stuff to peices be it NPC's, missions or PvP.

I personally have gone Caldari/Gallente and with BS5 & both lrg rail spec 5/lrg blaster spec/Cruise missile 5 & Torpedo spec 5 you do significant dmg with the choice of both long range sniping tom foolery or 'don't fire until you see the white's of their eyes ', admittedly you get to the point when training the big ones where you want to pull your hair out but when it's done it's done and you actually feel quite the sense of acheivement!

Not looking forward to dreadnought 5 though

most skills take 20 days for me now a days...
