You''ve been a bad girl Miss Liberty, now go to my room!

EvE needs to have missions be more then just a way to FARM ISK, I'm sorry but a waited so long now 2 1/2 years for missions to do more then send you to a point in pace with an after thought of some story that is not actual gameplay,

I love the EvE story and actual peoples crazyness in game is amusing but I just with the great story of EvE was in the game as game play and and adventure with a story arc that you can get into.

For example in EvE when they say kill this guy he is robbing some one, and he is just sitting there waiting for you. Not once could they have had me have to chase him around, nope just sit there and pop one after the other till their gone.

And the PvP is ok but for most people it is just not worth the time invested to spend the isk on a ship that will have a chance, so PvP is mostly RUN AWAY!!!!

I want meaning full mission and story arcs that we actualy play not just read in an RSS feed.

Maybe Factional warfare will make PvP worth while.

The only reason other people play that do not have the big amounts of isk to loose is that they think it gets better, but only for 10% the rest are pwns.

EvE is noty for everyone because most people actualy want a story in the game that they can play not just PvP only and that's it. And then you have to work for at least a week to remake up what you lost in your ship and most of the time a ships is more like made by the corp and some huge amount of man hrs for one person to have fun with it.

90% waiting to PvP 9% looking for it and 1% doing it.

Change that.

Well the basic problem you've point to wards is that Eve is in some ways too realistic.  To quot  one of the worlds best and funniest Sci-fi Authors.

'Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.' - Douglas Adams, Hitch Hikers Guild to The Galaxy.

Eve suffers from this problem. PvP can be hard to find because the relatively small community (in MMORPG terms) is spread over one of (if not) the largest gaming world to date.

Eve is a very realistic (if such a term can be applied to such a setting) and unless your a big sci-fi geek who's into thing like the old RPG Traveler, or Elite, Frontier and First Encounters. Love films & books like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dark Star etc. Then Eve is unlikely to entertain you for long.

Eve's draw is that it's about as immersive and realistic as a game can get for a space simulator type.  There are other space MMORPG's out there but none with the same level of detail and complexity. Hens the Sci-fi geek draw factor lol.

The only way this Game could be better, for a large ordinance, is if they added a whole new side to the game where you had a character and could move around and interact on stations and planets, fight and kill etc. A bit like most other MMORPG's.  However that would be such a large task to do that it would be a totally new game unto it's self.  I hope thats something they might think about in the future for Eve but I doubt it.

Star Wars Galaxies tried this and it worked well. Until the game was totally miss-managed and they destroyed it by trying to strike a balance with Jedi and other Classes that was the beginning of the end of that game shame, loved it till that point.

Anyway getting off point if you had space simulator at the complexity of Eve companied with a traditional character controlled MMORPG it would be great.  Thoughts that didn't want to play a complex simulator would have a more down to earth environment and could travel from one system to another... but being so big you'd most likely end up with the above issue I opened with, space is big...

Eve rocks! If you don't like it your a a 12 year old, or have the mental age of one, with the attention span of a goldfish! We are so glad your not screwing up the greatest MMORPG to date! Or of course you just might not like this kind of game ;D ...weirdo’s!

I have to agree with the OP.   A story that is relevant in the world of EVE in missions would be awesome.  Ya it would take some work.  But isn't that what we're paying for?  So that CCP can "work" on the game and continue to make it better?

I said it would be some work, but I don't think it would be that "hard."  With some creativity, there are really no limits as to the ways they could make missions relevant to the EVE world and story.  They really need to mix up the missions too.  At the very least, make a good variety of "go there and kill so-and-so" with "go mine this" and "courier" that and "scan" the whatchamacallit.  Even some "investigate" this kinda stuff where you just go and find something and gather data or pics (ala some of Darkstar One's missions).  Whatever.  I'm obviously not coming up with all the "great" ideas here but someone with "some" creativity could.  You know what I mean.

Take Guild Wars for example.  Ok, not a "great" story.  But at least there was a story to follow that had some relevance to your char's progression.  That alone helped me finish Prophecies and Nightfall.  Without the story element, I'd have quit that game at the half way mark probably.

All that to say, everyone loves a good story.  To have a great game NOT have a good story implemented into it, especially in an MMO, is always an oversight on the part of the developers in my humble opinion.

Just my 2 cents worth.
