So its been 2 years (?) since I played beta on this game and after reading about the GU4 update and the many changes that have gone into the game, I went out and bought the damn thing. No free trial offer left me with no other choice. (They sorely need to offer one)

The work that has gone into the performance issues in this game is immediatley obvious. They have done a great job so far, and my system is pretty old. The hitching that has been talked since beta is still present in the game, but it isn't a showstopper, occurs only when crossing into new areas, and is a fine substitute to loading screens. One of my favorite parts about this game is the complete lack of zone lines and loading screens.

I've posted a video of my little  level 7 cleric, running to his tombstone after dying, battling a hyena a level higher than him, and then looting a blue.  It's short but I recorded at dusk with many graphical options turned up, and it shows the combat speed and fluidity of everything at such an early level.

MMOs require more reasoning and imagination than most stereotypically ''adult'' activities.
