    • DO NOT LISTEN TO THE NAY SAYERS ON THE FORUMS! That aside, and that being what I had to do just to get this game. This game is incredible. I chose not to read anything about it, buy it and see what it was about. As a former MUD player/developer and UO pioneer I found exactly what I've been looking for, for the last few years. The art direction in this game is absolutely amazing, and the best I've ever seen. The only problem it has goes to the users on the forums/community in general. Once you get into the game though, and find some people to play with it's very nice. The low population of the servers actually makes for a better community where everyone knows each other. Think about it, if you're paying $$ for a game, you're paying for a % of the fun. In WoW you share that % with MILLIONS of people. In this game you REALLY get your piece of the cake and it is obvious. It creates for a unique and very personal experience/adventure for all. Also, don't be afraid of the PVP FFA ( free for all ) server. The people are really nice, and the FFA aspect just adds another level of immersion.

    • I got this game last week. I thought that since it got a decent score it might be ok. But I was very wrong. I don't understand how people can give such a horrible game a score of 7 or 8. Once more proves two things to me, game reviews are useless and people do not understand how a 1-10 rating system works. A 5 is average this is far below average. I'll give it a 3/10. It is absolutely horrible and not worth going into detail over. Don't waste your money on it and don't waste your time reading game reviews.

    • Been playing about a month now after trying it at launch. I have to say that this game has much improved. The community is nice, the servers are stable, and they add content/updates at regular intervals. The world is huge, and I can play with few problems. "Chunking" or loading into zones has decreased ALOT since release, and this next update they are releasing code to make chunking less noticable, so we will see how that goes. Overall excellent game.

    • My review as of 1 am, April 22 Graphics Complex, love the world art. Love the new models they are releasing. Sound Lightning spells sound like thunder, only MMO I have left sound on during raiding There might be larger RP communities there, so those seeking solely that might be disappointed. I see plenty of RP'ers however on Seradon and have never seen anyone harassing them like in EQ2 ala all. Community- Great, end game community on Seradon is wonderful. People are helpful to new players. OOC chat is for the most part pretty harmless, just don't mention WoW within 10 words of the words better than VG, or you will clog up the channel at least until someone manages to derail it. Performance/lag I can raid on my laptop, can't do this on many other games. With the amount of detail/graphics vs lag I think this game is doing very well. Customer Service Best SOE customer server ever, all my petitions are answered. Problems are fixed, they seem to have a great customer service team.

    • I just added this to my Station Access acct last week and have got some good time in on it. It wasn't that much of a hit at $20 for the discs. The game isn't half bad. It's not as polished as EQ2, and it has bugs, but the world is huge and diverse. Actually I have not seen such diversity in a base release game without expansions anywhere else. WoW even with expansion does not come close to the areas that VG has. It needs some fixes, but there is a lot of play value here. It needs a free trail to get some more subs.
