I've learnt the hard way that Blizzard ban for "undetectable bots", buying gold and powerlevelling. Don't do it, seriously don't. I thought I could get away with it and really was feeling very very lazy. All those adverts you see both in and out game finally got to me, seemed so cheap at the time.

Blizzard are seriously clamping down and I even notice whenever a gold spammer starts spamming they get instantly disconnected, so they must be putting lots of effort to remove these people. Yes I know it's ironic because I've effectively supported them, but never again and at least I admit to it.

Don't think you can get away with it, you may have done in the past, but not any more.

Please don't risk your account and if anyone tells you that Blizzard will give you your account back or a refund or "hey I did it before, they won't catch you" are lying. You've been warned..

To live free is worth dying for.

I'm personally amazed Blizz is finally cracking down engough to be noticed by "real people" and not just the gold farmers.   But with the new games coming on line, I suppose they are worried about their image.

Well, good message, and remember kiddos, cheaters always lose in the end.

If you cheated, you deserved everything you got in the end.

Hopefully you had some decent characters that you lost as well, nothing helps someone learn a lesson better than good old tough luck.

I see you've met "The Warden" and his friend "Banhammer".

I work with a guy that got banned for botting, couldn't help but laugh at him, he really doesn't care though. I don't know if this is typical, but it seems that my coworkers that still play, never keep an account for very long, they are constantly buying and selling accounts so that they don't have to level. I just don't get paying someone to play a game for you that you already pay to play.

Rejoice. For very bad things are about to happen.

So they nailed you for 3 infractions, botting, gold selling & powerleveling?  Or was it just the first one, botting, cause that one is so easy for them to detect, and you were nuts to try it.

As to gold selling and powerleveling, continues to happen at a huge rate, for every one they catch, 20 people get away with it.

Its simply a matter of risk vs reward, I've bought in game gold across a half dozen games, and only been tagged one time, in EVE of all places, about a year after  I did it.  No big deal, they took it back, nothingI couldn't manage.

Course you didn't see me complain about it here of course, I know the risks and the consequences.

Who the hell are you, and why should I care?
Congrats! You are a victim of Trollstar!

QFE! It's nice to see Blizzard actually being serious about this issue, instead of caving in like that yellow-bellied Smedley from SOE. It's good to see that they have a bigger spine than SOE even if the fight MIGHT be futile, I don't think I could ever play a game made by a company that embraces RMT/gold farming or ignores AFK bots the way SOE does. So, good on Blizzard

If Blizzard didn't make WoW feel like a second job with how much of a grind fest it is, then people wouldn't bot. The game also has very little replay value. Who the hell in their right mind wants to level up an alt after the first time? At release leveling up was fun at least because there were people to kill in the world because BGs hadn't destroyed World PvP.

Now? Screw that. That's why I botted. I botted so many damn toons it's not funny.

And getting caught? DON'T MAKE ME LAFF!!

I've been botting since a couple months before TBC release and I haven't been banned yet...because I know how to do it smart.

I've sold accounts and gold and have made plenty of $$ off of it selling to not only the chinese but players in game. In fact, I've got two orders for 5kg at $150 each which only takes me about 2-3 days to get, and that's not botting 24/7.

Thanks Blizzard for making a game so horrible that I got bored and found out about bots and how they could benefit me. Thank you for making a grind fest that can compete with any Korean grinder on the market. You may dress up your grind in the form of quests, but those who are vets of MMOs know what a grind is and you don't even make it fun

Now if you'll excuse me I have some gold to farm.....(proceeds to boot up wow on his laptop and other desktop.)

Good, the market needs to kill off the cheaters. What is not good is that Blizzards attitude gotten worse, a friend of mine got robbed by an hacker and the customer service just sent him a rude letter more or less telling him to go #¤%&# himself. And they lost a 3 year customer in a blink.

Hopefully this was just a disgruntled employee but I heard a lot of players saying that Blizzards attitude is a lot worse nowadays.

As for the OP: Sorry but all cheaters should be banned. If you don´t have enough time to actually get all the stuff yourself then play a game that demands less time (Guildwars or something). There is never an excuse to cheat. And, no... I never considered cheating myself. Ever.

LOOOOOOOL! That smiley made me laugh in real life. Priceless.

And no...I won't be banned. You see, I have about 4 accounts. One that I "play" on...if you call just logging on to do arenas, gank people, and run Sunwell if I am in the mood. My other three are bot accounts.

Now I've had bot accounts banned before...but my main never has or will. You know why? Because I don't bot on it. And losing my bot accounts is no big deal because I can just bot another 70 in a week and put crap gear on it. I transfer all the gold/items to sell on the AH to my main using the AH. My system is flawless.

And I don't bot because I don't have time...I bot because...

a.) I can actually make a good bit of $$ from botting on WoW. This is nice seeing how I take 18hrs a semester at school, active in several clubs, and also a staff writer for our paper and an Editor for a student run paper.

b.) To get retribution from Blizzard for making such a shitty game that it forced me to bot in the first place. Maybe if the game was fun I wouldn't have ever gotten the idea in my head. But grinding rep, gold, and killing off Wolrd PvP with shitty BGs has left me disgruntled.

I will keep botting even when WAR comes out, and have no plans to bot in that game because Mythic won my heart with DAoC. I'll just sell my main account at that time for probably $800+.

THANKS BLIZZARD!
