I tried teh trial version and found that the user base was quite immature and I was flamed for asking questions.  I got responses such as ...read the manual, do the tutorials and stop asking dumb noob questions.

Well I was doing the tutorial and had questions, I looked over the inadaquate manual and I have been playing morpg since Ultima Online first came out and played many games since so am I a noob?  No but a noob to this game at that time yes..  Through them all you do tend to ask questions.  Be it basic at first to help you aclimate but they often lead into more advanced questions.

To me Vendetta Online is full of childish an immature people.  Perhaps I logged in at the wrong times however the attitudes from the user base prevented me from having a good time thus turned me off.

I think you were really unlucky.  Our community is demographically older and has other pressures toward maturity such as its currently small size and the length of time most have been subscribed.  Not only would I expect you to encounter a very helpful response, including offers of formal mentorship, but just recently we completely replaced the tutorial.  It is *much* better now.  Typically, you'll also find at least one dev or dev-blessed guide around to keep the peace and help noobs.  I hope you'll give us another shot!

hey there long time VO player here. the whole Vo experience on a whole is much better than any other mmorpg. though some members are rather childish the majority are very helpful, even some of the worst pirates will be your best friend and will advise you in combat trade pirating and any other skills. if nothing else look to the guilds such as PA TGFT SSC CDC VPR and many more to find people willing to lend a hand.

Most of the people in Vendetta Online are very nice and helpful. Like every gaming community there are a few unsavory people but there is the /ignore thing that is quite helpful also. Just like what Crello said look out for guilds, they usually have some good helpful people in them.

I got the free 8hr trial on Friday and upgraded to full membership on Sunday of this last weekend. I really like the game and players were very nice and helped a lot. I don't know how many active players there are now, but I was able to chat and if I had wanted to group, I am sure I could have, since others seemed to be forming groups. I still think they need more enrollment. I will play for a while and see how it goes, because there is no other twitch type space sim game out there that I know of like this one. It has a lot of potential, should the player-base increase in size.
