Tried AC would like it if you had a better UI and maybe updated graphics. Plus once I get back from overseas I will give it another try.  Tried LOTR ...crap and DDO ...crap.

AC2 back will never happen and a new ac3 will be a dumb down version and more in style of wow then old AC ip early days.

Evasia's prediction is pretty safe. AC2 definetly will not return. There's no reason it would succeed now. It's old, the graphics and gameplay are dated. Most new MMOs barrow from WoW, so there's a good chance AC3 would too.

In this case, I would disagree. For one, Turbine already has a WoW clone. For two, they listen to their fans more than any developer I have ever seen. They are just as passionate about AC as the fans.

AC3 shouldn't be about bringing back AC2. If anything, AC2 should be a lesson of what not to do with AC3.

AC3 will be simple compared to AC1. They are not going to simply remake AC1 with better graphcs like all the AC1 players hope. It would be stupid to do so. AC1s graphics are not the only thing holding it back, it's just too difficult to figure out and get into. Turbine was on the right track making AC2 easier. An easier game appeals to a larger audiance. Turbine is out to make money not please the measly number of AC1 fans.

AC2 was awesome.  It had growing pains to be sure but I loved it.

Now that they have DDO and LotRO in and pumping funds I'd love to see AC2 reopen as F2P server.  Graphically it would be fine, DDO and LotRO are built on the AC2 engine.  AC2 gameplay with LotRO stability... scary good fun.

I'm not greedy here or anything like that to just want AC2 back. hell, I would love it if the reshipped it as a single player game. I liked the game play and the world the game was set in. As a single payer game I would miss the pvp for sure though.

Hmm only thing they should not do, is release AC3 if they ever start developing it, to early.

Ac2 mainly faild becouse it was released to soon under pressure of MS and with almost no advertisment it was doomed before it even had a chance to show how great this game realy was, and many players just jump on the dooms wagon to talk ac2 to distruction.

With pc,s these days most people have, ac2 could be runned prolly on hi res and it looks still very good i think and for gameplay its still far better then majority of most mmo's out there.

What I would love to see is the uniqueness of AC2 blended with the freedom and utterly giant world of AC1.

No other mmo can compare in terms of how unique the classes were in AC2. Plus I miss tossing lightning from my drum :(
