The logic on this is honestly flawed from the get go. The OP states that prices of things like candy bars and sodas go up so why not MMO's. Well the problem there is that prices of food goods go up largely in part to prices for shipping. Shipping costs go up largely in part due to the cost of gas. So if costs for this game were going to go up I would think logic would dictate that the game would be more expensive off the shelf NOT at the subscription phase.

At times 15$/mo is hard enough to want to pay especially considering many games lack good monthly content or anything worth paying for. Too many MMO's coming out feel little different than you're playing a single player game and that's definately not even worth the 15/mo. let alone a 20-25/mo. sub. 

The truth is, as stated earlier, the only thing i've seen for Age of Conan that's different, other than the fact it's based around the whole Conan thing, is the combat system. That alone hardly warrants a price hike. If they were to have significant monthly story lines and interactive events and other such goings on, as well as steady monthly updates bringing in new content on a regular basis THAT might warrant 20/mo. But considering, as in every other game, players would be lucky to get 1/2 that 15/mo. will probably suffice, if not the the (now) less common 12.99.

But, also as stated earlier, I think the OP is little more than a Troll looking for some action. Especially since now his argument seems to have degraded to little more than "But this is Age of Conan! *splooge*" Boobs and blood don't warrant "adult oriented" or a price hike. I don't know many adults who are really all that keen on pixel boobs, to me that's geared more to enticing teenagers to lie to the folks and take a look. And this is hardly the first game with either of those things, when Neocron first came out it had topless and naked strippers and, of course, blood. It's sub at the time was 9.99.

If I get quality I'm willing to pay more. Considering currently I can't be arsed to even play an MMO I'm having trouble even finding standard quality let alone something exceptional.

i avoid those kind of chores by going to video games.
taxes on the other hand could be a cool implementation in a new concept (but none of the calculation things... like city taxes and stuff but thats another topic for another day

It doesn't make sense to pay less for more quality.
Like i said you wont be paying the 19.95 for the 1st month anyways so
you can decide if you wish to subscribe for a teeny weeny little bit more.

Because instead of killing 10 boars you will be killing 10 Yetis !!

It does not make sense to pay less for more quality?  That makes a ton of sense to me.  You offer me a 2007 BMW for $20k or a 2007 Ford for $50k and I will likely choose the BMW.  I won't come to you and say, "Hey... um I should really be paying you $70k for this car, it has more quality than that Ford that they are charging $50k for."

It may make sense to the developers to have us pay more for more quality... but "quality" is going to be a VERY high bar to set.  And, then it only makes sense if the number of people they get playing a month at $20 is substantially higher than what they could have had at $15.

I think they would rather have 1 million subs at $15/month than have 500,000 at $20.  But, maybe quality if subscriber is more important to them than total revenue...

I know it's hard to swallow paying more for anything;
but I think even those of you unhappy with paying a few more dollars per month for Age of Conan
will ,if you want to continue to play after 30 days.

If they are asking more than everyone else and admit that up front I won't even be there on day 1 of the free trial. And I know I wouldn't be the only one.
