SCIENCE PROVES CAPS LOCK CAN CURE CANCER.

I find $14.95 a month for a video game ridiculous as is... I don't care if they resurrected DaVinci to craft this game, I'd rather keep that 5 bucks a month in my pocket, thanks.

Inflation isn't really a good thing... just because it's growing all over our food and natural resources doesn't mean "Oh well they're doing it, we should raise prices too!"... it doesn't work like that.

And lastly, it would just be an extremely horrible move on FC's part. Half their customers would be wiped from the game. Unless the game was actually a huge step from anything else, I could say they could up the prices. The game is going to be awesome, but not groundbreaking. I think the devs realize this, thus sticking to the $14.95 a month standard (thank goodness). To finish this, no, the game would be horribly damaged by this move, and lose a very large amount of customers that have been on the edge since the beginning.

seriously who the hell eats 4 snickers a day? come on now.unless ur hypoglemic and need the constant suger stimulation. >wipes tears of laughter< good times, good times!

I also see no reason to raise the monthly charges beyond the norm. If I can play EVERY other MMO for 15 a month, then why am I to be inclined to pay 20 for AOC? Some innovative designs? I think not my friend, unless they are sending me $5 worth of hookers and blow every month then I am not paying them a cent over the $15 usual.

I honestly see nothing stated that  creates a need to raise the subscription price any higher than the standards we are already at. Much higher and I definitely think you will limit the community.  Price rises mainly happen in certain markets due to peoples willingness to spend more, and your openness to it does not help the end user. It's not to say that they shouldn't be paid any wage donating time for free and washing my car for nickels but  near 15 bucks a month per user is quiet a good deal on their  end.  The very fact that you pay more for your candy bars and ice cold beverages would only make one  believe you would have even less money to spend on entertainment so why in hell would we want to pay more for that too?
i can understand why you would think i'm nuts for suggesting a higher monthly fee.

I just feel that if  AoC is as good as I think it will be; a 19.95 subscription for 30 days would be good for the players.
Yes,it would be beneficial for us gamers by showing that we are willing to fork out more cash for quality.
It would send a message to future mmorpg developers that hey if you actually make something good, yes you can charge a little more and we will happily pay extra with a smile on our face.

C'mon guys,it still will cost LESS than $1 USD  per day.
Fellow gamers let's all help send that message.
Age of Conan a Premium Mmorpg.

 Supernerd is a total whackjob!!!
I guess his name explains it all.  why the hell would I want to spend more for something if I dont really have to. I personally would not spend more the 15 bucks a month on a game unless I get more money from my employer when they are willing to spend alot more on me. Superdipshit must be really rich or really stoopid about spending money...learn how shop and find a bargain man!

This is simple.. its not a matter of justifying the cost via game features. It's about money.

By increasing the cost from $15 to $20 a 25% increase, as long as they lose less than 25% of potential accounts, they have made money and can justify it.

500,000 accounts x 15$ = $7,500,000

400,000 accounts x 20$ = $8,000,000

Not only that, it requires less upkeep costs to maintain infrastructure for a smaller player pool, so it actually equates even better. Though a larger pool increases the spread of growth via friends, so maybe not.

Mess With The Rest
Die Like The Best!

$19,95 per month? That is a big gap between the current monthly rate of $14.95. I really don't see many people subscribing to this game for a high monthly fee like that. Is the price that high because of the man its based on? Is the price that high because they want to get rich quick? Whatever the reason may be i for one will not pay $19.95 a month for a game of this magnitude.

If they want a high amount of subscribers like WoW has then i would suggest  they keep the price at the normal MMO rate today.

What if it is? But still not? Is it still the same as it were before? Perhaps it is.

Supernerd must be hired as a PR person for Funcom, with Snickers as the way for people to identify themselves with him.

Still people might have to spend money on food, living, education and the rest of a world and those $5 could make a change in peoples living. I'm negative to this raise in cost.

Priestess of the Church of the Painful Truth :3

Where the hell does he live that he pays 5$ for a bunch of snickers and 2$ for a coke?

Also, 15$ a month is pleanty. If they did make it 20$ Id be going to a cheaper game. In mmos, you dont raise the price to get more customers, you lower it. Just like stimulating the economy to get more money for the federal revenue, you dont tax the people to death, you lower the taxes.

I wouldn't mind 49.95 a month. Would certainly cut down on the children playing that is for sure.

this is by far the most stupid post i've ever seen. WoW makes millions of dollars a year.. wait excuse me a MONTH by charging the game around 15$ a month. why would AoC need to charge more than that? Financial advises are left to the professionals. NOT a amateur philosopher who thinks the world revolves around him.

Take a look around. Soon it'll be 2 quarters just to lick 1 stamp.
Heh, I always buy 4 Snickers Bars every morning from the 7 Elven; it used to cost under 3 bux.Now it costs me almost 5 bucks.
Hey i bought a $2.00 24 oz. bottle of Coke the other day and the machine didn't even have a slot for coins;it just had a slot  for singles...
Prices Go Up People. In general things cost more and more everyday. This is just how the world works my friends.

Anyways,
I do believe Age of Conan will be a step above all other mmorpgs.

A higher monthly fee could be easily justified.Heck, I would even pay 24.95 a month to play this game.
Heck,I would even  pay 149.95 for a special "Collectors Edition" box(if they included a real bronze 2 hand axe with the name Conan engraved on it or something neato)

I think that this game will raise the bar and set a new standard in the genre for future mmorpgs.
Charging $19.95 per month for a game with all that Age of Conan will offer only makes sense to me.
I hope someone important from Funcom reads this. Someone could be gettin' a raise.

No, actually, quoting a necro thread from almost a year ago qualifies as being dumber.
