What? You guys still here? Ah well guess I'll just go and play some more AoC then. Did I tell you the game rocks? I did you say? Well it does. Best MMO I've tried so far and the game isn't even released yet. Still a few insignificant bugs, but the gameplay is killer. Those bugs are being exterminated as filthy vermin by Funcom techs as we speak. A great feeling don't you think? It isn't you say? Sorry but you guys fail. "Epic fail".

In a month or two all the trolls posting in this topic will be vanished from this forum. They'll hide in the WAR or WoW forums while they write angry hate mail to Funcom. Spam forums pretending to be angry customers while they silently ask God how he could make AoC such a great success. After all they go to church every sunday, brush their teeths and almost respect their parents. Either that or they've made a new login so they can discuss how awesome AoC is with their fellow fanbois. It's funny how some still cling to the straw that AoC will fail, just like they clinged to the straw that there weren't a miracle patch coming out a few days ago. Miracles do happen though. I'm a believer. Amen brother!

Sorry guys, but all circumstantial evidence is saying AoC will be a success. Even with it's high requirements. How many copies did Oblivion sell did you say again? Well that was a long time ago and if you can/could play Oblivion you can most certainly play AoC. Sorry guys it's time to admit the fact. Don't make your embarrasment any greater because I will hold you to your words in a month, you silly little rascals.

You're like the guys that insisted that the earth was flat even though it was proven it weren't. I have to go now I got a game to play, but please stay around. You guys are amusing me now that I've got it proven to myself AoC runs like Ben Johnson on drugs

Your funny. I hope AoC turns out well for thoes of you so infatuated with it. Its time you face the facts though. Not everyone is running AoC just fine. You can say its haters blah blah but FACT is there are always going to be people that cant run a game on vitually the same rig you run. So YAY good for you, you have no problems. The FACT still remains others are having problems. I dont blame funcom for my problems. Granted I am one of the few. My friend has the exact same setup I do except for the video card. Guess what? He runs smooth as a babies botttom. I am getting 10-15fps tops. Mind you our V-cards are just about the same, just diffrent brands. I dont blame funcom, I dont blame my computer. Its just one of thoes mysteries of the computer world.

Another FACT you need to realize is AoC is not going to be for everyone. Just because they like WoW or WAR does not make them any less of a person. For you to imply they are makes you look verry childish. I always said AoC's combat system would make or break it. For me it broke it. For others it made the diffrence. Doesnt mean I'm right or they are, just that we have diffrent opinions.

The amount of energy and time spent on arguing about AoC is quite remarkable.

Considering that the game is changing on a daily basis, it is quite furtile arguing about performance etc.

And the game is still in beta lol!

What will it be like when it is released?

As the previous post said, AoC is not for everyone, if it is not for you and you are here arguing about then you have to much time on your hands period.

If it is for you then rest assured that FUNCOM is doing all it can to get this game in a good shape, and will continue to do so after release, it is not their first game so they do have experience.

Hey, it's what they know and have experience for isn't it?

It's a pity FunCom choose to limit gameplay for a few more hair pixels and a nipple.

Loading time shorter but game is still laggy, choppy and very demanding on hardware.

I have yet to go to interessting part of the game, so far only generic single player quests and usuall grinding. To be honest I still see no difference between AoC and other games. Lore is nice, but so was LOTRO.

I am acctually looking forward to crafting, sieges etc. If that is not implemented I will not pay for this. If they push those parts trough properly then I will be in 100% at least to try it out.

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.

If I understand correctly crafting is in the game but can't craft till after level 20 and you can't get past 13 in ob so there you have it its stupid.

Well i think the time has come for people with crap pc's to buy a 360 and wait for AOC or buy a new pc with a good spec.

My pc exceeds min specs and doesn't run AoCrap even with hours of tweaking using the so-called 'solutions'.

I think it's time you realize that it's not the computers or the users.

AoCrap will be a failure.  It exceeds most peoples computer specs by a fair margin.  It doesn't work on a significant percentage of people's computers who meet or exceed specs.

And that's just the technical aspect.

It will fail on it's design as well.

At launch, it will seemingly be a success in number of box sales.  Immediately there will be an outcry from a minimum of 25% of those people who can't play this POS even though they meet specs.

EPIC FAIL AHEAD.

I hope all the fanbois will be around to explain to people why it isn't working on their rig.

And not just the usual BS.

You have only had a glimpse of the epic fail ahead.

Well since you will not be buying it i assume that you will not need to be reading any further posts here?

You get people come on here and slag the game off and they still end up buying it and playing it.

Bye bye DeadDingo, hope to see u on another forum!

It's my opinion.  I'm tired to hell of hearing people saying how rosy things are when it just doesn't work for me and takes tons of messing to get the game to even load.  So I guess yeah I am calling a ton of people liars if that's the way you want to phrase it.   I'd call it rose colored exageration or wanting something so bad you are willing to overlook things but hey whatever you want to say, I'm just frustrated.

Really it's all about funcom.  If they really got a fix, lets see it.  I'll be one of the first cheering when I can load the game and not have to worry about it crashing or just plain not working.  I mean let me ask you.  Just name one reason why funcom wouldn't want to release a patch to open beta to make it work properly if such a patch exists.  I mean really can anyone name a single reasonable downside to doing that!?!?  And if you can't then why aren't they doing it?

The highlighted words are key here...Your opinion is it runs horrible...my opinion is it runs great..

One person here even has video of how OB was running...smooth as silk...but, maybe they are liars too...hard to say...could be faked even..

Sorry there is something wrong on your system to make it run bad...but, it is like when  people kept calling me a liar when I told them LOTRO run like ass ( and still does to this day...after checking out their free preview weekend..logged off and went back to play AoC)...I even had video of the hitching issues...but I was still a liar...(everyone said it was my "opinion"...even with proof..)

AoC runs awesome for me, and many others...and it sounds like release is gonna rock..

if it runs horrible for you reduce the graphics, this is not WoW!

If it still runs horribly for you then go out and buy a new computer that can handle the game.

Otherwise go and buy a console, PS3, 360 or a Wii so that you will experience games that have been desigined to run on one hardware set up with no bugs!

Simple simple simple.

This patch is definitely good news. Now (judging based on this topic), it seems that the performance of the game is close to what it should be at release, instead of being at where Vanguard's performance was at the release.

But it's sad that many fans are lying at us, or at least I feel that I've been lied to. First I've been told that open beta was earlier version, and closed beta was newer version without much technical problems. Yet now I'm told that there was a huge patch in closed beta and it (nearly) fixed the large technical problems, wich according to what fans previously told, didn't exist at all. And now I'm supposed to believe those fans even after this?

I'm eagerly awaiting the game, and for full lift of closed beta NDA. The game is only a week away from the release, why can't Funcom now lift the NDA? Are they going to lift it now that they've released a huge patch, or are they going to keep it until release to hide something that is completely unfinished?

EDIT: On a second tought about that NDA, I quess that since Funcom has kept it on for so long, they probably won't lift it before the launch of the game. They can't be hiding anything positive or they'd have lifted it already, and they know that majority of those who are intrested enough about the game to even know that there is an NDA aren't patient enough to wait until they hear reviews from the full game (what it was at the end of beta) but are just going to buy without hearing of it. /EDIT
