Right right, I'm just saying that I hope we have a chance to buy equipment once we level up, before they make it full on PvP, otherwise you are going to get killed while you're shopping.

Also I read somewhere that they were going to transport our characters to their respective home lands. Anyone that can confirm or deny this?

They also get medium armor and great HP/Stamina.

Assasin is probably second and Barbarian third.  I haven't played either but from what I can see on the battlefield is how I rate them. They are both good DD's in PVP.

Soldiers pretty much suck, but they can at least take some hits.  Conqueror (with the best DPS) can do some damage but all in all the tank class is a joke right now with the level cap at 13.  They aren't even worth killing if there are other classes around.  That's how pathetic they are.

If you play a mage class you will get owned.  Plain and simple.  Regardless if you are ToS you are going to get singled out and you will go down quick.  For the people reading this that disagree with me, you are playing with noobs.  (As a ranger) I can two time a mage class.  Healing is crap.  It does not do nearly enough for the amount of damage dished out at this level.

I can't speak for Herald of Xotli or Demonologist since I don't play them, but what I can say from what I see is that they are "ok" but Demonologist seems to be better, maybe even 4th on the list.

Necromancer = the suck.  Their pets do minimal damage and they have low HP so they can't take much damage.  A decent thing about them is they can hide.  I can, however, see this class being awesome later.  Also, their pets aren't half bad at keeping others from hiding because of the constant damage they do.

Lastly, CTF is redundant.  Most people that do CTF don't even give a shit about the flag.  There is rarely any team work involved and it's just a gank fest with the rogue classes waiting on someone to grab the flag and stab them in the back when they are going back to their base.

One might also say team annihilation is a gank fest too but at least people attempt to knock out the others totem (usually) which can require teamwork.

I'm now a little stupider having read this post.

Read the patch notes screen, everything is explained there.  Since you buy armor in the cites and you cannot pvp in the cities, you should be fine when servers come up on the 10th. The patch tonite is not the pvp mayhem/end of beta thing. As stated, that starts on the 10th, which in the US is tomorrow.

Ah, thanks a bunch.  Where the heck are the patch notes? It won't let me into the Beta Forums....

Someone forgot to tell that to my demonologist and my 2 team demos

And you no doubt spawn camped them or played against noobs (read my post).  CTF is bullshit.  You can't use that for any comparison.  Your squad would get smoked in team annihilation.

EDIT: Just noticed you got a level 10 demo with 10 kills.... come on dude.. that shit makes it way too obvious what happened in that match.  Pretty much any lvl 13 that attacks a lvl 10 is going to get fucked up. Level gap is a huge factor in their damage calculations.

makes zero difference...everyone is 19 the only difference is spells/combos and items...period

I don't believe that.  I one timed either a guardian or a dt that had (6) next to his name in team annihilation.

But let's say you are right....lol.. so 3 things that are completely irrelevant.  Appreciate the good humor.

If you roll a Ranger on the PvP server when the game goes live you are in for a very rude awakening.  Its one of the worst PvP classes.  Also, you said mage classes will get owned, well you are in for another shock there, Demonologist is the most overpowered class in the game by a country mile.

Sorry, I cant go into specifics, but as you know NDA is still in effect for closed beta.

Thanks for the heads up but as you see I am only stating what happens during OB -> lvl 13.  I am still undecided what class to roll first.

Actually, if you already knew all that, then that wouldn't make you stupid, it wouldn't have changed anything.  And if you didn't know that, then you gained knowledge.  Either way, it can't affect you that way.

I hate to break this to ya, since I'm having so much fun playing this particular class and i don't want a bunch of bandwagoners.  From what I have experienced playing so far, up to 13, demonologist is prob the best at pvp at this lvl.

Why you may ask?

There are actually 3 reasons:

1. Of course the damage is good.

2. They can stealth, unlike the ToS.  ToS might be almost as good if they could; but I'm unsure if they have a stun of some type.  At 13 on mine, I don't remember a stun; but I could be wrong since it was my first char to 13 and I was somewhat of a noob.

3. As you can gather from the previous pro, they can stun.

The only real downside I have found with this class is the fact that being in stealth and moving rips through some stamina.  If you can get your hands on some stamina regen food, you are all set though.  I think it is berries that will completely counteract whatever stamina drain you are getting while moving.  These things have become a personal mission of mine to find where they drop.  As of  last night, there were no merchants that I could find that sold food.  I looked at the map and also searched around.  These stamina drops seem to be semi-rare when compared to the mana and health drops I get.

Also another word of advice, drop the damn demon.  Unless you constantly having this thing attack people it will give your position away.  No, they may can't see you with perception.  All they have to do is drop the search skill on ya and you are fodder though.  The demon doesn't do enough dmg to make it worth giving up where you are on the battlefield.

The only class that gives me troubles are assasins and that's usually if I'm nuking someone else.  It takes probably 8 to 10 seconds for one of those to kill ya, unless they get lucky with a crit.  That gives you plenty of time to pull off your stun and back off.  I do believe the stun takes a second or two for your oponent to go into a stuper, I guess you could call it.  Pretty much it roots at first and then in a sec or 2 it actually stuns.  You can take anything down within the stun period though, except for maybe a guardian.  Depending on how far away he is when he comes out, there's a good chance he will be toasty by the time he reaches you.

BTW, I choose the lightning route and pumped the feats up in the reduced cast time on that spell.  Don't ask me why, I guess mainly because it had higher dmg output and seemed a better time vs dmg tradeoff.

I do agree on one thing though.  Necs do suck or are pertty useless.  This was the first pure mage I took into PvP and I just could not dish out dmg quick enough to kill anyone.
