I just logged back in and the game is tanking so bad they just had to add more servers to each region and its not even on full release yet.

they said they were gonna release more servers prior to launch so instead of AoC bashers being "rite" wouldnt that mean the AoC devs were "rite"

Funcom is allowing BETA testers on the test server which is putting more strain on it. They are having a massive final push before release.

Jeez, early sign up was a good call on theyre part it sounds like. This way theyll now if they have to run to the hamster farm for more servers before official launch...

If it were "tanking" they would be removing servers due to lack of interest.

Game will do well however atlest till it faces the likes of Guild war 2, Warhammer, wotlk, Stargate worlds, darkfall all coming out late 08 or early 09. Will they add content and polish it by then?

More amazing is that they new how many EA's they had since they capped it. So my ungodly guess would be they new how many servers they needed, just not how many of each type.

Overall technically it's sounding pretty good!

Success doesn't exist until after the 1st month and then the #s that stay will show if it was a success or fail!  Vanguard looked successful with the mass amounts of players until after the 1st month and then 85% left!

Sure AoC will have a ton of player for the next month...its a given ppl will try a new MMO cause its all new, shiny and something different than what they're playing now!  There will also be hardcore players at the cap by the end of next week also, and if there is nothing there to hold their interest they will also move on.

Time shall tell, but u can't claim success after less than a day just cause thousands of ppl are playing it atm!
