Im not sure if they have this in the game or anything but it would be perfect if there was a gladiator system. It could work just like the Romans:
1.So you volunteer or are captured or something. 2. Then you fight in arenas all over this world against NPC animals/ NPC people. ORRR Just fight real people like a bracket kind of thing. 3. Once you are really good and have won a lot of matches, you are ready for the Grand Collouseum matchs. These matches can include mounted combat as well. Do you guys think this idea could be implemented in the game in an expansion or patch or anything? More importantly do you think this would be a good idea?  |

definetly, that sounds like a great idea, some pvp in fighting would be interesting, with an oblivion twist were u can't loot or do anything to defeated opponant.

Yeah, I thought I heard of something about arena battles in the game. Now they might not exactly be gladiators, but the fighting would be the same...just under different circumstances.

Arena isnt best type of battle it gets boring fast is even worsed than bg type of pvp. Although it could exist as in game festival with some sort of in game prize so every month some days could be dedicated for that ,i quess that can be good for pve servers . |

I'd personally like to see a game with arenas that other players can watch. Have your city make a team and have it's citizens cheer and jeer the other team. It could be an additional social outlet for players and also a way to learn from other players, develope strategies etc. |

How about random generated arenas where oposing teams might get traped (booby traps) or both teams ambushed by random npc mobs....its like throwing dynamite in fire also i would like if they had a betting system where u can place bets on your favorite gladiator of course this would have to be closely watched by GMs to prevent hoax fights.....another thing I would like to see in AOC is live events get GM or dev to play as Conan or some other famous NPC. |

Having an arena system would be a very cool idea for some PvP. Maybe a little similar to WoW's arena system, with a few more types, like 1v1, or 5man vs NPC bosses, etc. The only thing they should NOT do is give rewards that can give people advantages over people that havn't done alot of the arena. Or this system could turn out like WoW, and people will just do the arenas to grind the points, and get that 'easier to obtain' armor, etc. Thats the only problem I can see coming up. |

gladiator system would be really nice touch to the game, and other kind of match types as well that might have been introduced in other games before, now refering to ones that few FPS- games have... gladiator combats would be like from the conan movie where Conan made hes name to be known... before that he was just any slave among other slaves.. this wouldnt break the lore at all, would just enhance it actually, and would give something more to do other than just defend guilds, fortress or level up in PvE |
