I pre-ordered AoC from GameStop MONTHS ago. They asked me for my phone number, so they could call me when the pre-order goodies came in. Well, guess what, they never called. I went down to check today, and the manager was a total jerk. He tried to blame corporate for me not getting a phone call. Supplies are limited, and they were all out. So basically I got screwed out of my early access, my in-game items, and the book (which I did not care as much about) even though I ordered WAY before most people.

Right now I am hunting around for someone to pre-order from that still has some pre-order goodies left. I am pissed at Funcom as well for limiting the virtual incentives. I can understand limiting the physical books, but the in-game items cost them nothing to mass-produce, and if the servers can't handle letting all the pre-orders on early, what the HELL is going to happen at release when everyone comes flooding in?

I tried a pre-order from GoGamer.com, but I have to WAIT for an e-mail to tell me if they are out of keys or not. They don't have a notice on their site. I can only hope that because they digitally distribute their codes (rather than physically) that they have a more abundant supply of them. If not I will be cancelling that preorder as well.

Why does every company feel the need to burn the people who are giving them GOBS of money BEFORE their game comes out? If I am going to pay for something that far in advance I expect VIP treatment.

This is absurd. Shame on everyone involved, and thanks for ruining what should have been a good time for me.

Cool. Hopefully GoGamer still has them. This is the last time I pre-order anything at a physical store. I am going down to GameStop tomorrow to cancel ALL my pre-orders for several upcoming games. I've officially had it with brick and mortar.

Soul is not a genre, it is where music flows from.

I preordered from gamestop and they called me the day it arrived and gave me free shit that they got in from other games too. I guess your gamestop is just full of (insert angry word here)'s. The one i went to was really cool and the guys were as polite and nice as could be. Maybe dont attack their whole company but instead just set out to get that one guy fired or something.... just an idea.

Don't order from a local "brick and mortar" shops. EBgames.com has worked flawlessly for me for years. Always get pre-order items and shipping has always been spot on. I've even got items the day before release on a few items (using next day).

My good lady, could you spareth a moment of your time to loan me a piece?I needeth to bust some caps.

Over here in Oklahoma I waited way too long to preorder. I decided to call my local gamestop on sunday around 5 pm and he told me That if I didn't come in within the next 2 hours I would miss out on the early access and Mammoth mount code. Sure enough when I got there, I preordered age of conan, and he gave me the last code which was actually still attached to the coardboard backing.

I suppose I was just extremely lucky, but I seem to see no issues here, unless of course they don't have my preorder when I come in on the 20th to pick it up. If that happened, I would end up going berserk on them, most likely.

I noticed that ebayers are auctioning theirs off for around $20 or more.. if you're desperate and there are no other legitimate pre orders left.

Thats a bummer man. I ordered from EB Games but knew better then to trust them to call me and I was aware about the limited amount first come first serve crock. So I called them almost daily and spoke directly to the manager to see if they came in. I think many who pre-ordered are just planning to pick up their game on release day and find the pre-order card and or goodies attached and they wont be there. I think they should be set aside for the pre-orders taken first. Then only release the leftovers and others if game not picked up after few days of release. I'm passing on the 3 day head start as I played the OB and will never out level some of those peeps so I could have held off the trip to pick up my pre-order card but I had a feeling things like this would happen. I feel for ya. Hope it all works out.

I pre-ordered from gamestop, i got the book the Day I pre-ordered and the code a week or so ago. I had to go back and ask about it, I didnt get a phone call. But I did get my pre=order goodies. On the other hand if i had known i could get a Bow by pre-ordering at Amazon instead of  a mount I would have done that

Yep there seems to be alot of companies dropping the ball on this.

I pre-ordered months ago with bol.com(dutch company)they had the rhino mount and the(then)3day headstart, which is now 6 day heastart in europe,at the weekend sent an e-mail asking when the codes would be sent so I could d/l the client in plenty of time,I just recieved an email this morning saying"your code will be sent just before your game is shipped I hope that answer's your question"

Well no it bloody doesnt,it seem's I wont be getting the headstart they promised if they are only going to send the email just before they ship the game, guess its the 23rd for me then.

Pain is fear leaving the body..

I pre ordered the collectors edition and I still have no code from Gamestop. I have spent a long time trying to even find an email address to contact someone regarding this issue.

I bought this the day it was offered. What a joke.

Hope other companies look at this as an example how not to make a pre order offer!
