Everywhere I go I see nothing but AoC players saying that the game sucks, even on the official AoC forums over 50% of the posts are against the game. All I can say is, I hope you learned a lesson.

You promised us Shadowbane 2, but gave us WoW 2. Now enjoy your just deserts.

Man dont you dare to compare a crap game like aoc with wow, wow is big, has content, beautifull animations and chars..and its fun and addictive...

Thats why there are people playing wow for 3 years almost every day of theier lifes...it must be fun and with loads of stuff to do...some people dont like it..but 62% of all mmo market players like it...so dont even compare it to aoc.

yeah ,wow is a big world .it has content ! beautiful story,and a long long history

I think that the main problem is that Funcom announced a revolutionary MMORPG and they launched a nice combat system with one of the worst online worlds ever: little, bugged, repetitive, boring...

So the game-play itself is nice, but the game itself and the world they have created really sucks.

Targeted the wrong crowd; ; look at the wii's success.   If they focus on getting new players to the scene then you'll have greater profts since whose people don't have some goldly game in mind. Not only do they have that in mind but they'll try to destory a game through rumors and lies so it would fail. I think you are going to start seeing a shift in gaming.  I hope you enjoy playing wii fit.

uhm..what lesson is there to be learned? The game is the top selling PC game, a few days ago they had to close down character creation on an European server because it became to populated.

heh while I appreciate your analogy; it is all wrong.  WoW is about 45 times better than AoC. Not a big WoW fan here, but you cannot even begin to compare WoW to AoC.  WoW is higher than AoC on so many different levels.

You could have compared it to Horizons or Shadowbane. But comparing it to the world's most successful MMO as being a game that sucks is poor judgement (and hindsight)

Ya would be interesting to get a trully accurate idea of subs right now, not talking about box sales - current and active subs. I hear wildly differant stories, but FC have never released figures, even on AO, so its not likely.

btw playing the game, lvling 70 tos atm, and a slightly lower conq, good game.

the main reason for player angst is Funcoms tendancy to tweak things, rather than fix things, and causing 2 more problems for every patch they release, that and the lack of communication and content for lvl 80's.

off course ppl say they shouldnt bother wtih class balancing and fix the real issues, for everyone one of those theirs 10 players want this nerf done and that buff done etc...so its a horrible job and im glad its funcoms and not mine :)
