There is talk on the official test-live forums that next patch has lovered the normal mount price from 2 gold to 75 silver. Oh really ?? It took them 6 weeks and 100000000 goldspamming to find this out ? I told them after one week. What did they do ? Piss more ppl off that now spent 2 gold on mounts ? Just geniouses... Oh and btw - Grey quests are back to giving XP. Gratz Funcom - You obviously know what you are doing. One week you do this and next week you do that. Who cares about the basic systems as long as it looks like you are doing something... Really guys - Stay away for next 6 months |

What kills me the most is the fact that when anyone complains about any MMO, the fanboy jump like rabid dogs saying things like: every MMO has bugs, every MMO is basically broken at release, people don't remember but WOW was also the same, an MMO is an on going process, blah blah. Well if that is the case, what do we have left to judge a game by? The developer apparently. You are basically investing in the game by playing it now. So the most important thing is that you trust the developer with the future of your MMO. Do YOU trust Funcom? I surely don't and by the looks of it, they have no idea what they want or where they are going. I would don't even buy a burger from Funcom. |

Originally posted by urbanmonkey I agree. I always tell people, it is not the game, it is Funcom. The concept was sound, the combat is good, and visually it is the best looking MMO. Then Funcom happened, and that was it. Talk about driving a game into the ground. I always use Turbine as an example. They made some major mistakes in the past (AC2, DDO), yet learned from those and created a good game (I do not like it, but that does not make it a BAD game), and continue to improve. Obviously Funcom did not learn from AO. |

Im glad I saw this, was planning on buying a horse later today... But seriously, the game economy needs a lot more money sinks to work good (No, the noob horse can be cheap, thats cool), Horses, bags, feat respecing and city building just isn't enough. While it is logical that you can give your weapons away when youre done with them, and that you probably patches up your armour when yore camped, no problem. But the economy need some working within a few months or we'll see a lot of inflation. But the goldspammers won't go away or come for the price of mounting, all games have a lot of them, even ones without mounts. |

Trust is not the issue. The issue is: are you enjoying yourself? If you don't, highlight the issues you face, hope they will be fixed, or leave. If you are, highlight the issues you would like to see improved, and stay. Not sure what all this 'trust' yada yada is about. Simple choice - do you judge this to be a service worth paying for or not. The answer is an individual choice. |

MMOs require more reasoning and imagination than most stereotypically ''adult'' activities. |

Yes it is. Having confidence, which is built upon a foundation of trust in the competence of the developers is fundmental to a successful MMORPG. Whether or not you are having fun goes without saying. But trust has to be earned. I have trust in many game developers whos games I don't play. After being there at AO's release, and now with the issues of AoC (Anarchy Online Continued) it is explicitly clear that Funcom has no clue and deserves no trust. |

If this was a normal single player game that might be the case. But its not. A game like AoC has major parts of the game perpetually up in the air. Things like class balancing and new content. For a clearly unfinished product like AoC its even more important.
If you do not at least have a modicum of some sort of sense of reliability from the company charging you a subscription you should seriously consider cancelling. |

You are not part of the solution. Trust in a company is key. If a company hasn't shown the ability to actually listen to their customers or learn from their past mistakes (Funcom) then they don't deserve trust. People, like you, are the reason why MMORPG companies attempt to walk all over the players. Therefore, you are part of the problem. |

Don't expect any refunds for the architects who shelled out 30+ gold to do the quest to level up, only to find out that they are changing it so the quest doesn't consume the blueprints anymore. |

I've certainly had my share of disappointments in AoC but posts like these just make me roll my eyes. Complaining about improvements is just strange. There's no pleasing some people. It's akin to making a list of 10 things you'd like improved and then complaining that they've improved them. Sure they should have been done initially but come on. |

Again, this is the curse of highly anticipated games. People love this game when reading of it, when it is still in development. Then they see Beta Testing (note; testing), and they think it's for them to test, to see if they like it.... WRONG! All the balanced they need to do now, is because 90% of their Beta 'testers' were only interested in playing the game, not searching for bugs, not recommending any balances, nothing. Quit blaming Funcom, blame the Beta Testers. |
