Playing FunCom´s Age of Conan have, for some gamers, activatet some powerfull emotions.

Anger, fustration, despair and a general feeling of being a betatester, paying betatester even.

I not going to enter debate on game issues, patch issues or FunCom´s capability to produce a mmorpg game.

But I will make a humble suggestion to all the AoC gamers, who suffering the above mentioned emotions....... No game is worth so much grief.

Find yourself a new game to play, and let AoC evolve and mature at its own pace. Then when the time is right, reenter the game and enjoy it.

I have found my way back to EVE Online and it have been a blast for me, great fun and keeps me at the computer way to long.

My single point is, if AoC makes you a sad panda, then let it go ..... Dont stay and suffer, just let it go and find a new game for a while

I know the game appeals to a number of people. Every time I reactivate it, I end up letting my subscription die almost immediately because it's just too tedious for me.

I have this thing about hoping a game will have magically changed for the better every year it's out.

I got Lego Indiana Jones on the weekend and it's great, much better than AoC.

I'll probably hold off MMO's now until WAR.

     Isnt it kind of ironic that the OP plays Eve for fun but finds AoC too stressful??

Yes I was going to say that. There are a few of these, leave AoC come play my game posts floating around. Whatever..

All i know is that you try going to play Lotro, Vanguard or War Beta after a good session on AoC and the majority will miss AoC`s combat. This is something I found out myself and talked alot about with friends.

I'm pretty sure most people who were 'suffering' have already quit and moved on.. I'd say a large percent of the leftovers are just trolls who feel so ripped off that they have to make the people who are actually enjoying the game feel stupid for it.

But I agree.. it is a game afterall, if it hurts to play then why bother?

true, i have quit and am now re-running NWN2 and mask of betrayer plus the witcher. I am offiacially done with mmo's untill a good one comes out WAR sounds alright and Aion sounds good and all but still the basic factors of those games dont make me feel well. just sounds like more clones to me. So i going to stay off-line untill some thing actually good comes or get's better.

I tried WoW and EVE Online, and both seemed really dull. I am not a big fan of MMORPG's, as AoC is technically the first one I have played. I imagine the other games like LoTR would be the same, all MMO's have the exact "click attack" type combat which gets very repetitive to me.

Funny thing is, I went back to CoX. Re-subbed a month or two ago and have been having a blast. Got a couple more 50's this 2X xp weekend, was a great time.

There is something to be said for an older, stable and polished game, despite the aging graphics. I've been looking for a good sandbox game with proper PvP, but for now, CoX is really fun. That's signature CoX though, replay = alts, and play a few months, break for a few.

It's the only MMO i get the itch to play, get bored, but dammit, i'm back within a couple months again. Been that way since release.

....oh! I'm sorry! Was this an AoC thead?

Yep, going to let my free month expire and play until then. Let the game mature and come back like I did in AO with Shadowlands launch only to find a golden jewel of awesomeness.

No. I won't be playing EVE (I tried it but didn't care for it) or anything else, for now. I will stick with AoC into the near future. AoC isn't the best MMORPG I have ever played (SOE ruined that) but it has it's good points, and for now thats enough to keep me playing.
