I love children, I just never can finish a whole one. |
It's one of a couple non WoW clones. Earthrise as well as Darkfall are both great looking games. Huxley is STILL in development, but looks like it will be neat if they ever get it together. |

Sleeper hit. Fresh and inventive Ip that doesn't stem to far from tradition mmo game but lso stems far enough to bring the player something truly unique.

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus This game givme the same feeling that "guild wars" on its day: seems that is coming silently with not too much expectaction on the shadow of AoC an War, but, with the last thing I saw, and the ideas its bringing its just time people "discovers" it. Just a feeling... Btw, got the same good/bad things of the AoC PvP (the combat system) and the real time dodge. This was the first game that I heared about working on this real time combat... so lets wait, if it works fine can be great. |

I acknowledge that AoC and WAR are working out some problems before release, however, I don't think CoS will capatalize on this fact. CoS is lacking hype. There is going to be some great competition during CoS release and I just don't see CoS measuring up. However, it has enough of a following to run with average subscription numbers IMO. Time will tell though. You just never know with MMOs until release... |

Q3/Q4 release means it will be out after AoC, Warhammer, and Lich King probably. I love the ideas behind this game so i'll be playing it at least a month when it comes out, but I believe AoC, Warhammer, and Lich King will have the larger player bases. |

I can almost guarantee that WotlK wont be out this year. It is blizzard, they only release games when finished! AoC isnt done yet. If it comes out at the current set date, we have another Vanguard WAR will delay probaly too. If not, well, to bad for TCoS.
But WAR and TCoS will have different fans. But who says that TCoS maybe isnt better then WAR? Both games arent released yet, and players will go for the best game. Atleast, I think it is this way around.
I can be wrong ofcourse. |

I think the game will have a small perhaps medium sized (50-80k players at the most) dedicated fan base, I don't think it will do as well Warhammer purely because this game is so different from any other mmo. I believe that a lot of people like gathering items for instance, and like the WoW-like combat so it will never be as successful as those games even if it is a fun, polished game at release. I think Age of conan will have a dedicated fan base as well, perhaps with the same numbers as TCOS most likely if it is not a bug ridden over instanced game like beta reviews imply it will do better. Either that or it will tank and its subscribers spread between other mmos. I really really doubt anyone will come even close to WoWs numbers, they have 4.4 million players in Asia, 2.2 in North America, and 1.2 million or so in Europe and they are still launching in other countries. It is kinda of wishful thinking to expect to do as well as that. I believe their European and North American subscriptions are going to drop drastically since it has been out for so long in these areas people just want something different. Asia however and these other countries it has been around for a year at the most so it will still most likely have a growth in subscribers that will make up for the loss of European and North American subscribers. Warhammer I think is going to do well no matter what, it looks like WoW 2.0 PvP addition a lot of people like (god knows why) WoWs type of PvP, Warhammer will more than likely appeal to these people and thus do very well because of it. Aion I hear is meant to be a large title but I think it will be unlikely to do well in the west because it looks, even though I hear it isn't, like a Korean grindathon. That said more than likely that will mean it does very well in its respected demographic.

I agree with most of your post m8 but if AoC releases without too many bugs etc,I think they will have alot more than 50-80k of dedicated fans. |
