Wow, Amo. I feel for ya. I for one felt your post was fine. You asked an appropriate question, in the appropriate forum, in an appropriate way and got flamed for it. It's not like you came in and said, "OMFG where the !@#$ is the email! This is BS and not fair and blah blah blah....." You expressed dissapointment. (And thenm when flamed to the high heavens, responded calmly and reasonably...which of course led to more flameage) Keep in mind all of you who got on his case, that TCoS VOLUNTEERED this deadline. They didn't make up a date to answer hundreds of beta winners who were demanding one. They came in and volunteered a date...then missed it. Certainly no huge deal, but Amo didn't make a huge deal of it. Frankly, some of you sound like you're bitter that you didn't win a beta spot and are pissed that others who have won have the nerve to criticize the great and mighty Spellborn Int. Although I imagine I'll be flamed as well for this. It's too bad so few people can have mature convos anymore. |

Did you read the title of the post, Rooster? If he really just wanted to have a question the title of the post would have been: [A question for you fellow contest winners...] and the post is: Hey guys! I know they said we would get an email in two weeks. I still haven't received mine? Have any of you guys got yours? Just wondering, thanks for any info.
That is your definition of maturity?

Lets give them a few more weeks lol seeing how there is nothing else we can do

actually dabble, looks to me as if someone from the company finally told us what was happening... since he posted losing credibility, i see it as a good opportunity to get some answers from the admins of TCOF. Not that they really are losing credibility senious how there new. I thought what he did to gather there attention was more mature then anyone elses way of getting there attention, yes you could have said what you mentioned dabble, what good would that have done on getting answers from the admins of TCOS. I think its more mature then you think and he did a good job and we all got the answer were looking for and i feel you should drop the subject because you seem to be one of those people that carry on subjects to the point where it doesnt need to go. Thank you bubye!

Well, I'll say this and I'll never post in this thread again: You can get more with sugar than you can with spice. |

Actually, spice is better. Especially with apples. Apple spice. In a pie. I like pie.....

Personally, I'm glad to see someone pose the question again. We asked, we waited and nothing happened. The one thing I would like to point out is that every time someone has asked about the beta invites for those that won, a representative from TCoS has responded with a courteous and informative post about the status of things and what we should be expecting. I have to /salute that kind of response and level of customer commitment. True, we (the winners) have not gotten the keys yet, but heck, i'm IN beta for another game that's rated among the top anticipated on this site and it seems that those customer service folks could give a crap that I even exist. That company, in my book, has lost a LOT of credibility, however, TCoS is gaining faction with me even before I've played the game, and that I think, is a good thing. PS, that other game I've the underpriveledge to beta for....they won't be getting my money, I am gonna head down to gamestop and switch my pre-order to TCoS :) |

surely you could hang on for a month or so to play the game with your key, if its true what you say about this other company then its a great example that not every game out there wants to know, hence lost credibility. imo; tcos does care about its gamers even the unwelcome and aggressive ones, still at least they tell you what the problem is and if they dont respond then it must be for a very good reason.
what freeze mensioned earlier, that there busy with convensions and e3 and what ever else, so you wont expect answers right away... well its better then most companies out there. as well as that, i think tcos will release there game soon and not right away, you have seen with most games that release too early, its full of bugs. and you must give them cridibilty for keeping the game it for that reason, again thinking about thier gamers and not disappointment. also the game has a big fan base, usa, can, gbr, fra and ger with something like (edit) *65000 * members in the forums already(more joining everyday), now how is this game loosing credibilty? so really why is this thread up. |

Because 250 folks won a slot in beta, but have been waiting (i won't speculate as to patiently or impatiently, I won and i'm waiting patiently) for the elusive beta invitation e-mail that is over due a little bit from when they originally stated we'd get them. No big deal on the extra wait on my part, but others feel more or less strongly about it. I just felt that it was appropriate to comment that I for one, like the way they are handling things so far with the contest winners. I am sure we've all been jacked around by SOE, Blizzard or some other company out there at least once. I've always maintained that the customers make the MMO, both in the community and in paying the subscription fee's, it's nice to see that we still get treated like actual customers at times. We're always supposed to be right, but we don't always get what we want....however, we do have power over the service we consume, just look at SWG for a good example of that. :D |
