I was just wondering if anyone is a fan of the band Within Temptation who sing a few of the songs for the game? The Howling is probably the most noted of the lot If not I highly recommend them! I was so glad when I saw that they were doing music for TCS!

Within Temptation is not doing music for TCoS. They are only promoting this game. There won't be any WT nusic inside the game. Sad but true.

I love WT. Sharon Den Adel's voice is incredible and rounds out the rest of the band perfectly. I'll confess that, outside of "The Howling", I'm not totally sold on their newest CD yet.. Their last one, though, is amazing, start to finish.

Funny that this is the second MMO to come around that I associate with WT - though this is a much more deliberate association.

The first was for the song "Memories". I was playing Matrix Online when that song was still pretty new.. that and "BYOB" by System of a Down, which was on Radio Free Zion every night, at least once.

In any case, though.. awesome band.

I use to listen to them, good band imo

 

My question has always been, what is their relationship with this game? Why are they promoting it?

That was answered in the press-release that announced their involvement. Iirc all players of the band like playing on line games. The band is dutch. The game developer is dutch. When asked by SIL they said yes. Along those lines.

They use the word 'corperation', as in forming one, on their website... Does this mean they actrually threw some money into this, or are they meaning 'co-operation' and just got muddled up with the whole second language thing?
