annyone knows annything about the open Beta for europe? couse i bough that open beta a month ago but its still not online...and i cant find anny date on when they might open it, annyone has some more information?

Only thing I know is they don't give a damn about Europe. That will be another battle, to have decent service and servers. Right now, european website and service is a disaster.

If you have an open beta key the European website for WAR is not allowing use of the keys until the OB date is announced so just lock your ticket somewhere safe.

Anyone who's bothered to read their press section on the CE over on the Euro site knows this.

Don't listen to altair he doesnt know what he's talking about.     Open beta has not started yet.  The collector's Edition went on sale last month and it comes with an open beta ticket (it is NOT the only way to get in open beta just a gaurenteed way in).   The game's launch was pushed back to fall here in the US..so Sept to November the open beta will happen.

Actually from what I heard release will be simoultaneous for everyone. It will happen for North America, Europe and Austrailia and maybe a few other parts of the world all around the same time.

The thing is, though the release may be simultaneous everywhere it might still be that the OB in Europe starts a little later than in the US. Kind of depends where and on what their priorities are I assume. I assume the the programming and everything is mostly US based and that the EU open beta will be more focused on just getting the server infrastructure up and running well rather than have anything to do with still stress testing (albeit slightly for the servers naturally) the game itself.

Providing they don't delay the game again, I would guess August or September.

Any dates you see at stores are simply their guesses. There's no set release day yet, but the current plan is to release the game "fall 2008", and even that is subject to change.

As the release date being 18th Sept.(?) the US WAR site suggests for a post 15th August Open Beta registration, so i guess GOA will keep it in the same period (hopefully :P )

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but did you make sure HMV actually preordered for the game for you or just sold you the pack? Many other people have reported similar experiences, but just for those who weren't aware of the mess HMV have created, here is what happened to me.

I had thought HMV weren't stocking the 'Warhammer CE' because it doesn't show up on their website, but I found out on Thursday that was because 'HMV-Online' is actually a different company. I phoned around several local branches to check stocks & as luck would have my local store had several preorder boxes in stock. I was confused by some of the comments made by the guy on the phone though as he kept going on about me being better off ordering it on Oxford St as they would prbably get more copies. When I said, "Surely a pre-order should guarantee me a copy rather than just making it slightly more likely", he referred me back to the Customer Services.

Even their Customer Service Line is clueless, they got very confused & then put me on hold for ages & ages while thye went away to check. Eventually though they absolutely guaranteed me that if I purchased the 'Ce Preorder Box' their system would automatically generate a pre-order & a till receipt confirming both that I had preordered  the CE Edition & that I would receive 9.99 off the final price. They also claimed that all pre-orders were made against the allocated stock levels from the supplier & that the only way I would not receive my copy of the game would be if Mythic reduced their allocation at the last minute.

When I went to my local the store, predictably it didn't go as planned & my till receipt was as below.

No pre-order was generated & the assistants seemed to revert to their stance of not being sure how many copies they would get in stock as they were only a small store. Eventually I got them to place a preorder manually & was promised a call on Friday when the manager was back from Holiday.

I had to call him in the end, but the manager admitted to me that HMV UK hadn't set up any special system to handle the 'Warhammer CE Pre-order Box' at all. When you buy the box, you may as well just be buying a CD because nothing happens after that.

Where on earth all that nonsense I was told by their Customer Service line came from is anyone's guess. Maybe that was the way they had originally intended it to work but the personal responsible for implementing it on their till system couldn't be bothered.

Allegedly, if you get them to manually place an order this is still made against the official allocation & it shouldn't allow you to order if they have already sold out, but they didn't seem sure about that either.

Since everywhere else has sold out though, I am trying to be optimistic.
